Product Review: MET Tathione Glutathione Supplement

     Ever wonder why there are light and fair-skinned individuals who still consider taking glutathione as one of their daily supplements? I'm not sure if you will agree with me but not all 'mapuputi' have clear, flawless, porcelain, and glowing skin. Some women have pale white skin that is not flattering to look at. It's like they look 'sick' because their skin is pale and paperwhite. If you're to going to choose, do you like pale white skin or glowing white skin from within? Met Tathione is a well-known brand of glutathione here in the Philippines. I can say they're one of the pioneer brands that's been commercially sold in pharmacies, drugstores, and beauty stores nationwide. When you say glutathione, the first brand that will come to your mind is MET, right? I've known this brand years ago but wasn't able to try it since I've read so-so reviews about the effects. 

     My cousin has tried Met Tathione years ago with the first formulation and swears with the effects on her body as a whole, she took this not only to whiten skin but to strengthen her immune system. Even though Met Tathione had received some negative reviews in the past, I still believe that premium brands will give great results. Always remember that results vary from one individual to another, the effect of whitening may be fast or slow depending on the individual's body. If you smoke, drink, and have more toxins in the body from environmental pollution, chances are there will be a slower effect since the glutathione will protect you first from those free-radicals then with continued use of glutathione let's say for two more or more, the whitening effect will be seen slowly but surely.

After 1 month of taking Met Tathione, my skin is visibly glowing even though I only have 3-4 hours of sleep. The photo below was taken around 5 p.m. The lighting wasn't able to show how fair my skin is but there's a pinkish glow in my arms. NO FILTER!

What I like: 

• Met Tathione glutathione is FDA approved. 
• The packaging is so classy. I like that it is repackaged in a minimalist design. The design of the box and bottle packaging exudes what high-quality Japan-made products look like. The box is sealed with plastic and the bottle opening is well-sealed also. 
• The new Met Tathione is also available in two-capsule sachets. Great for trips. No need to worry about the extra bottle in your baggage.
• The new Met Tathione is in liquid soft gel capsule form- this kind of capsule is easily absorbed by the body, unlike the regular capsule.
• This liquid soft gel capsule doesn't have a funky or weird smell. 
• The new Met Tathione is now combined with Algatrium, a component that can triple the glutathione production in the body. It is one of the most potent boosters available in the market today. Algatrium is a patented antioxidant found only in Met, first in the country making Met three times more effective!
• I did not complain of discomforts like vomiting, headache, nausea, breakouts, or whatsoever while taking this supplement.

• It lessened cystic pimples popping around my chin which I experience every month. 
• No weight gain, bloating, or unruly cravings. I also look after what I eat so I guess the worry of gaining weight depends on the individual. I also exercise before I sleep.
• I have a small scratch on my knee became a scar. Taking Met Tathione plus applying my favorite whitening lotion lightened the scar a bit but I can say taking the glutathione made the skin renewal faster than usual. Since I have fair skin, the scar is noticeable but after taking Met Tathione, the dark scar became less visible.
• Batch, manufacturing, and expiry date printed on the package. 
• Easily accessible.

What I don't like:

• The price is steep for budget-conscious individuals and those with a tight budget. 

Will I purchase? Yes! 

Recommendation:

     I give this a 4.75/5 rating. I'm happy with the results that I've experienced with Met Tathione after taking it for a full month. I take the capsules in two divided doses because according to Dra. Cecille, absorption of glutathione is better in divided doses than popping it all at once. No need to take Vitamin C because Algatrium will boost the absorption of glutathione in the body faster. Fewer pills to pop because of that too. 

     This post is getting lengthy already and I have more things to share. Comment all your questions and I'll base my answers according to what Dra. Cecille explained to us :) I'm relieved that there will be professional advice or backup for those who want to take glutathione but are afraid of ingesting food supplements/medicine inside their body.

     So where do I begin? Let's talk about our underarms, ua, pits, or whatever you call it. Product Review: Mischka Derma Secret Sea Salt Detox Glow

     Hello dearies! Let's go back to my product review series. I've emptied almost four skin care products that I'm road testing so this week and next week will be posts on skin care reviews. First up, this body scrub from Mischka Derma Secret that I received last month. I'm into body scrubs right now, I like the squeaky clean feeling after using body scrubs. Since the heat is getting insane, I feel like I've accumulated all the dirt and pollution in my skin from commuting whenever I run for errands or go to events.

     Aside from the removing 'dead skin' while scrubbing, this skin care ritual is one of my 'me time'. Among the body scrubs that I've tried before, the waiting time for this scrub is longer than usual. It takes 30-45 minutes for this scrub to work wonders on my skin with twice or thrice a week use. DC Pocket Cosplay at SM City Fairview

     Yesterday, superheroes came to life as cosplay afficionados gathered and showed their charm at the event center of SM City Fairview wearing their favorite DC Comics superhero costumes for the last leg of DC Pocket Cosplay. This event is in preparation for the DC Comics Super Hero World Record Event that will be happening this April 18, 2015 at The Block Atrium, SM City North EDSA. Yay! this will be the biggest gathering of cosplayers, DC Comics addict, DC video gamers, DC toy collectibles and everything in between.

     According to Alfonso who hosted the event yesterday, the number of cosplayers who joined at SM Fairview was one of the biggest. There were 11 contestants who displayed their DC superhero costumes, some were shy because it's their first time joining this kind of contest while others entered the stage loud and proud. Product Review: Wet N Wild Megaslicks Balm Stain Moisturizing Lip Colour in A Stiff Pink

    Early last year, chubby crayon-like lipstick/lip balm/ lip stain hit beauty bloggers by storm. I've seen my favorite beauty gurus reviewing their fave chubby lippies in crayon form from brand one after the other! From high-end to cost effective ones, these babies offer pretty shades and functions more than one. I can't contain my excitement when I saw this from Luxola's website and said to myself that finally I'll be able to get hold of my own crayon because the price of a drugstore brand like Wet N Wild is pretty cheap and affordable!

     Here's a review of Wet N Wild Megaslicks Balm Stain Moisturizing Lip Colour in A Stiff Pink. This product was sent to me by Luxola last February so my apologies if this is a very late review. I describe this lip balm/lipstick/lip gloss/lip stain as a cool toned pink. It's a bright pink that leaves a beautiful stain on my lips. The photo on the right shows the stain. It's a pain to remove, I've already placed my arm under running water and I've tried smudging it to remove but the stain is still there.

What I like:

• The price is el cheapo compared to other chubby sticks in the market today.
• The packaging is cute. It is a twist up crayon pencil that has a clear cap. The packaging's color is the same as the shade of the balm stain.
• No need to sharpen.
• There are 6 gorgeous shades to choose from.
• It's a 4-in-1 product- a lip gloss, lip stain, lipstick and lip balm!
• There's a unique minty, cool sensation upon application. 
• It is very pigmented. Not for the faint of heart if  you apply it with a heavy hand.
• It is easy to apply as it glides smoothly on my lips without tugging and pulling my lips.
• Lasted 6 hours on my lips. 
• Does not fade after eating or sipping my drink.
• Does not fade unevenly as it leaves a beautiful stain on my lips.
• There's a batch and manufacturing date printed on it.

What I don't like: 

• The packaging is flimsy.
• There's a semi- chemical scent.
• It dries out my lips even if I apply my fave lip balm underneath.
• It's a pain to remove even if I use my fave makeup remover.

Will I repurchase? Maybe yes and no. Yes because I want to try the remaining five shades. No because I think a bullet will last long. I'm the type who will empty the contents of a product first before trying or buying a new one if it becomes a fave or HG (holy grail). 

Recommendation:

     I give this product a 4.25/5 rating. I like that it's pigmented and easy to use plus it's affordable but it dries out my lips and I find it hard to remove even if I use my favorite makeup remover. So if your lips are prone to drying, use a heavy duty lip balm underneath this balm stain. The minty and cooling sensation is unique and fun! I recommend this balm stain to budget conscious individuals and to students too who wants to try a good drugstore brand.

     It's been ages since my last OOTD (Outfit of the Day) post. Since the sky was clear, weather and the location was the perfect tandem for an outfit shoot, I decided to have another outfit post with the help of my blogger bestie Jen Maslang of shopgirljen.com

     This outfit is very simple. If you follow me on my social media accounts, I presume you've already seen me wearing these pieces. This was the attire I wore at the event I've attended last week in BGC. We were advised to wear a black and white outfit. When there's an event where we are required to wear something or let's say there's an attire, I usually ask help with my fasyown blogger friends. They know that I'll be asking "what to wear, what to wear" three days before the event. I always feel that I'll be under dress if I follow my decision when it comes to formal event.
