My Hong Kong Lifestyle Haul

     Hong Kong is known as one of the countries where you can shop til you drop. It's a shoppers heaven and the infamous Mongkok and Temple Street are your best bet if you're looking for bargains and cheap finds. We went to Hong Kong last June 4 and stayed there for 4 days. It's my third visit and I don't shop that much as compared to my first and second visit some 10 years ago.

     We went to Hong Kong for my son's pre-birthday celebration and to visit Ocean Park Adventure courtesy of Klook Philippines. Booking our Ocean Park Adventure Tickets and 4G WiFi via Klook PH is one of the best decisions that I've made for this trip and I will muse more of that on my next post. But for now, I want to share my small haul which primarily consists of gifts for the birthday celebrants in the family and some goodies for the parentals, sisters, and pamangkins.

     Hi dearies! Hope everyone's having a great week so far. I miss writing this kind of blog post. When I was starting, I write a haul post weekly because I want to share what I bought from my weekend shopping. I'm always on the look for new and exciting things thus I'll buy them and feature here on the blog. Shopping for beauty products is my kind of retail therapy that I seldom do these days. What we shop weekly now are necessities because of adulting!

     Anyhoo, I'm a fan of Japanese culture. I love everything- Japan!!! From food, toys, fashion, and my fave- beauty, I always make sure to try the latest in these categories. When I was in Japan last March, I had a chance to shop for items that I rarely found here in the Philippines. Read more below to see my Japan haul, enjoy!

Althea Korea Turns 2 Birthday Haul

     Althea Korea turned 2 last July and it rained blue beauty boxes all over Asia and to countries where Althea Korea ships their products. There were so many surprises in store last July for both K Beauty fans and beauty bloggers who were called Althea Birthday Squad.

     I'm one of the few bloggers who joined the squad in spreading the birthday cheer. I received Althea’s Limited Edition Birthday Cake Box with DIY cake box deco, a birthday card, and gift pack which consisted of my haul.      If you're looking for giftable items and fun stuff, the only place to visit is Tickles. I've been to Tickles SM Megamall last year and went home with stuff that's not only perfect as a gift but also functional for home, education, and personal use.

Only positive and happy vibes because everything you'll see inside that place will make you smile and giggle with laughter.      Tickles is not new to me. I've been visiting their Fairview Terraces branch once every month to see what's new in their shelves. I always find myself smiling whenever I'm inside the store because of super cute and unique finds that caters to all gender and ages. Great news! They've opened their flagship store at SM Megamall two weeks ago with a circus-themed shop that is so inviting, it's like fun never stops once you're inside the store.      Shopping online is one of the most accessible form of shopping these days as almost everyone is now online. Admit it or not, we are all busy. Even though we have time to drop by our favorite malls and department stores, there are times that we only shop for every day essentials.      The following beauty products you'll see below are the products that I dubbed as not easily accessible. I can't say it's hard to find because there are online shops who also sell these brands BUT the only problem I always encounter is it's either the shade is out of stock, the product hasn't arrived yet or simply it available in selected shops. First is Naturactor Cover Face Foundation. This shade is always OOS or hard to find, good thing Beauty MNL offers a wide selection of shades. So when I saw the shade 130, I immediately placed it in my shopping cart.

     Another product that I can't find in stores, malls and local online shops is Davines Oi Oil. This is my favorite high-end hair product. When I emptied one bottle, I had a hard time finding a new one as I need to look for selected salons carrying the brand. It took me months to restock on this but to no avail.      And lastly, a new lip balm from Shiseido. I'm not sure if this is available in Shiseido counters. I picked this because I'm running out of lip balm the time I'm shopping at Beauty MNL. Sample Room Products for April + Another Major Haul :)

     I really love Sample Room! Every time they replenish their stocks, the samples mostly full-sized samples are very promising and interesting. I already made a review of Vidal Sassoon Premium Color Care Series (shampoo and conditioner) and I think this range will be complete with the treatment. So when I accumulated again the points that I used last March after reviewing the products, I immediately grabbed a sample of the hair treatment. I also availed the Celeteque Bacne Spray to test it with hubby's bacne. I swear by Celeteque products. They're from Unilab- one of my tried and tested brand for skin care, health and wellness. To complete my April Sample Room Haul, I availed the Hygienix hand sanitizer. Being an OC mom, I always make sure that my hands and Kenzo's hands are always clean and germ free.      Hi dearies! Haul time :) I presume you already know that you can grab mini and full-sized samples of skin care, hair care, tools, makeup and diet products from Sample Room. Since SR replenishes their samples once or twice a month, I can say that it is a must for beauty  and lifestyle blogger like me to grab a samples of new and exciting products in order to give you first dibs before they're sold in the market.      Hello dearies! I'm sure you've been missing my haul post. To tell you honestly, I got so many skin and hair care products waiting in line to be reviewed. I'm very grateful to all the brands who sent me their products to try. Most of the products were sent December last year and some of them are still on my stash untouched :( I'm not complaining but it takes time to review skin care and hair care products.      Hello dearies! Happy Sunday to all :) Did you noticed that I seldom make skin care and beauty haul post aside from Sample Room haul? To tell you honestly, I have so many unused skin care and makeup products that was given to me for review. I'm road testing it one by one that's why instead of buying my favorite products, I oblige myself from using them so that I can make a more in-depth observation about the positive and negative results. 

     So to start, I grabbed another sample of Colour Collection Matte Lipstick in Pinkish Nude then added some Godiva LicoWhite Whitening Lotion that I'll be giving away as prize for my December Member of the Month. My sister swears by this lotion so instead of using it, I want one of you to experience the effectiveness of the product.

     Ten days to go and hello October! Before the month ends, I would like to share another mini haul for the month of September. If you're a long time reader of this blog, I'm sure you've seen these products on my past haul posts.  I hope you'll not get bored of this same old skin care products haul. Good news is, I got new products from Sample Room! Already a member of Sample Room but having a hard time getting samples? Fret not because we have the same fate. Haha! My ninja moves doesn't work all the time hence the products that I'm eyeing always get OOS whenever I logged into my Sample Room account. I believe that Patience is a Virtue so when I saw Sample Room partner bloggers announced on their social media accounts that there will be a restocked of products, I patiently waited and tadah~ I got what I really want to get from their samples this month. 

     Yay for a full-sized tube of Colour Collection BB cream! Thank you very much Sample Room for spoiling us- your roomates with promising skin care and makeup brands both coming from local and international names. I'm currently road-testing this bb cream and as of the moment my initial thoughts are mostly positive.      Hello! I'm back with a haul post and products that I got from sample room. I'm on a budget/ tipid mode again because I still have lots of skin care and makeup products to try. I just bought my essentials that I'll be using everyday especially for my face and body. Since I'm on the resting period/stage on using Snoe White Special Black Beauty Bar, I opted to use a milder soap from Beauty and Bright. I also repurchased another bar of my favorite Cyleina Kojic Soap because I miss the scent of this bar. If you'll ask me why I don't use the same brand or kind of soap every month, well I alternate the soaps that I use because I don't want to be immune to any of them. July Haul

      Before this month ends, let me share with you the products that I've purchased on different days. If you notice, most of the items here are my HG's so if you want to read my review I'll provide the link below. I want you to know that most of my "haul post" showcase my HG skin care brands. Pardon me because I try to veered away from buying things that I don't need and if I know it will irritate my skin, I'll skip it. I always think more than 10 times before buying new skin care product or makeup. I hope you'll not get bored of reading my haul post. But I assure you that there will be 1 or 2 items that's new so that I can share my review especially on latest cosmetic products in the market today that's budget friendly!

     

     So lets start with my favorite cleanser, Eskinol that I've been replenishing since the day I discovered it from Janet's review. I love this cleanser doesn't irritate my skin and didn't make my breakout worse even if I ran the soaked cotton ball on them. It just sting big time XD. My next purchase was Maybelline Make Up Remover, it's my 3rd bottle. I only use this if I have photo shoot and I need to remove my eye makeup. This baby melts away stubborn eye shadows and waterproof eyeliners :) I'm not planning to buy a new contact lens because I still have 3 designs that I use alternately during photo shoots but when I saw that Dull to Doll was having a clearance sale, I immediately purchased this one. It's purple and I already used it in one of my photo shoot weeks ago.

Romwe Haul

     I'm recently hooked on browsing Romwe's website. It's the first online shop where I saw different kinds of clothing that's wearable and stylish. They dubbed their clothing line as latest street fashion and extremely attractive. I must agree to that because I like the cutesy dresses stylish tops and unique trinkets from their collections. So after browsing every night, I bookmarked the clothes  and other accessories that I like and purchased a not so huge haul. Okay, it's HUGE because it's more than three (3) items. This is my first time to buy clothing items online and it feels good that you get what you expected. We all know that online shopping has it's pros and cons and one thing that I always doubt is the size. So to be sure, I bought a measuring tape and everything followed.  I used my gift certificates that Romwe sent me months ago. I'm such a happy kid when I received the items even though there were hassles going to the post office to claim the parcel (think about the horror stories on claiming your package). 

     About the horror stories, I think this is just an isolated case. Not all Post Offices here in our country have corrupt employees. Anyway, another great thing about this haul is that I got all the items on discounted prices :)

     Next week will be another chapter of my life where I'll be outside the house every day. I'm going to apply for a job inside the corporate or BPO world. I know it's time to work in a real office so that I can experience what's life outside my comfort zone. Yes, if ever I'll be hired that would be my first real job. It's a long story and will not elaborate details on this post but if you want to ask what happened, I can answer you on the comment box. Haha! So I need to buy clothing items for business/formal wear that will suit the required attire for job application and interviews.

Blogger's United 5 Picks + Random Haul

     Happy Independence Day dearies! Let me share my Blogger's United 5 picks that's totally awesome! I got only 4 items from different fashion blogger's rack selling their pre-loved clothes, shoes, bags, accessories and a whole lot more. I went there all by myself to support my blogger friends who organized the event. I'm sure all of you know that Blogger's United 5 is not just a place to buy stuff but this event also became the meeting place for some "meet and greet" sesh for bloggers and their readers. It's my first time to attend the event and heard that BU5 was the most coveted installment and will say my approval to this even if I haven't seen the crowd during BU1-B4. I arrived at the SMX Convention Center with long qeue at the entrance and surprised by the number of fashion aficionados arriving at the venue. Truly this installment of Blogger's United was a huge success! Congratulations to Ana Gonzales of The Fashionista Commuter, Aisa Ipac of Drowning Equilibrium and Honey Andrade of Somnia et Vita. I will muse my Blogger's United 5 experience on a different post because my camera is acting up again, I'm so worried that my photos will be deleted just by connecting the usb to the laptop like what happened to my other photos :( Anyhoo, I also bought a new setting powder, a hair care essence and my favorite Snoe Black Bleaching beauty bar that's now upgraded to Special Black Bleaching beauty bar. Wait for my review dears, I'm already using these products and I'm very very happy with the results!!!

My Sample Room Products for May + Hauls

     Hello long weekend! Let's rock this 3 day- vacation by doing things we love and by making the right decision on the list of candidates to vote. My Sample Room Products for this month came last week and I decided to get this skin care samples from Gluta-C. But take note that Sample Room is not only giving samples, they also offer products in full-sizes! That's why I'm very happy with Sample Room. You all know that I love organic whitening soaps but when I saw Gluta-C samples, I didn't think twice and got myself a bar of whitening soap and bottle of lotion. Since Gluta-C is another promising brand of skin care to love, they deserve a space here on my blog :)

     Aside from skin care loves, I also bought new stuff! It's my first time to try a Korean brand of nail polish remover. It's my 6th bar of Beauty and Bright soaps and 2nd tube of Human Heart Nature Facial Scrub. A new lippie- I saw Gie of Third World Fashion sporting violet lips using the same lipstick above and her review got me sold!

     Here's an addition to my makeup stash. I bought a new eyeliner and eyebrow gel liner from BYS. I still love my Virgina Olsen Choco Eyeliner but I want to try a black pen type eyeliner for days when I'm very lazy to put makeup on. Just eyeliner and eyebrow color and I'm good to go. I already hit the pan of my fave Carmex Lipbalm so this time I'm going to try Snoe's Beso Balm because I'm so intrigued with the name.

My Sample Room Product for April + Mini Haul

     Hello! Hope you had an awesome Monday dearies and to start another week that's gonna be full of surprises from yours truly let me share with you my mini haul for this month. Skin care products that you'll see here are my favorites/holy grail (HG's) so I'll just leave the links just in case you haven't read my review on them. 

     I'm on my 3rd bottle of Eskinol Facial Cleanser, I use it once a day or when I feel that my face needs extra cleaning after wearing makeup for more than 5 hours. This toner works best with another fave All Organics Lemongrass FacialToner and the Quick FX Pimple Eraser. I noticed some of my old pimple marks appear less visible now. It's not an overnight miracle though but I'm happy to see positive results. I still love the effect of Quick FX Pimple Eraser not only in combating nasty zits but also in making dark pimple marks lighter :) Another product that I really love is Asian Secrets Lulur Body Scrub. I've been using this product alternately with A Bonne' Spa White C Salt Scrub. Both products work great in exfoliating dead skin cells on my body caused by heat and pollution. 

     Say hello to my new shoulder/body bag from Y.R.Y.S. :) It's not fashionable and trendy but being spacious is a plus for me that's why I bought it without hesitations. My long time fave shoulder bag from Landmark is showing a sign that it needs to rest for a while to prevent it from further damage.

     Here's what I got from Sample Room 2 weeks ago, a 50ml Mustela Hydro Bebe Hydrating Lotion. I was planning to use this on my son but when I opened it, the cologne-like scent made me decide to use it on the driest part of my body. I love how velvety and soft my skin to touch after applying the lotion. Will post a separate review on this soon.

Collective Haul (January, February and March)

    Hellos! I would like to share my recent and not so recent skin care and makeup haul. I decided to make this post collective so that you'll not get bored of seeing same products that I buy to replenish my skin care essentials every month. I already posted my review of BYS Lipstick and Eskinol Spot-less Facial Cleanser before this haul post, I know it should be haul first before review but it's better late than never right?

      My recent skin care buddy is the Eskinol Spot-less White Facial Cleanser. It's my 2nd bottle now and I'm loving how it removes deep seated dirt while making dark spots and blemishes less visible than before.

     Great news for Quick FX Pimple Eraser users. The old packaging has been replaced with this one that has a resealable cap. No more worries of contamination and spillage!

     I already  made a review of Nivea Whitening Cell Repair Protect and this is my favorite lotion of all time. Since it's summer and I'm always outdoors, I decided to try this variant because it's suitable for frequent sun exposure. I also bought a new lipstick and this time from Ever Bilena, heard it's a dupe for MAC Pink Noveau. Let's see how this will look on my pigmented lips. Will post swatch and review in a week's time.

     Yay! My first full-size, unused bb cream :) I'm a bb cream addict. I started using bb creams 4 years ago and tried more than 10 brands. It's a trial and error experience. Even if I found my HG bb creams- Skin79, Skinfood, Laneige and Kate to name a few, I still feel the need to look for something new. I guess that's the reason why I don't buy full-sized bb creams. This concealer is my lemming and finally got my own pot already. I've read positive reviews about this concealer, will road test the product for a week or two before sharing my own review.

Sample Room Experience + First Haul for 2013

     Happy weekend guys! We're fortunate that beauty comes in boxes now. I mean we can try beauty, skin care, wellness products and everything in between with these beauty subscription boxes. I presume that you all know these beauty boxes and had subscribe from them depending on your preferences. It boom last year around August if I'm not mistaken but I'm contemplating which box to get. The price ranges from 400-500 php for a month of subscription,  you'll get different variety of beauty and skin care items, some are samples while others are full-sized ones. 

     I've joined the club now! Finally got my first beauty product sample from Sample Room. I will not get into full details of SR since beauty bloggers already discussed everything on their blogs. I will just share my experience and how considerate they were because my first transaction from them was cancelled and it's my fault. I'm lucky that they'll going to return the first 70 points that I used and wasn't able to pay the shipping on time and totally forgot my order. I used my remaining points to purchase this...

     This is what I ordered from the remaining points that I have. I have read all the reviews from SR that's why I'm convinced that Gluta-C is effective in terms of lighten dark marks and spots. I'm not sure if I'll use this on my underarm, I'm planning to use a little of this on my freckles and I hope this will work there too.

     So now to my haul, basically these are products that I already use everyday. Nothing new except the Nichido Mineral Concealer that I will use as an eyeliner for my waterlines and the HBC Keratin Hot Oil Treatment that was always OOS. I was intrigued months ago why among the DIY hair care treatments from HBC this is always OOS. Now I can try this and see what's the rave about :) I also bought this top from a shop near our subdivision selling factory priced clothing from Lee and Jag. Got this for 50& off the tag! But it's to tight for me, I need to lose weight before I can wear this confidently.  The Tony Moly 7 Day Eyebrow Tattoo is the bomb!!! I will muse everything about it on my next post. I really LOVE LOVE it!!! It's the cheaper version of K-Palette (I guess) :D

     And by the way, the cutie bottle cap earrings was a gift from le sister on my birthday. She said she won in a giveaway and this was her prize from Hodge Podge. She's very shy to use this because of the word blogger written on it. Thank you so much Krystal! I'm also shy to wear this even if this is the craft that I love doing. I don't want others to misinterpret me wearing those earrings. But if I'm with blogger friends, I'll wear it because I'm sure they'll understand me 100%
