Nivea

Nivea Whitening Lotion Philippines

Friday, October 15, 2021

I'm a sucker for body lotion and if my memory serves me right, the first brand that I've tried was Alyssa Ashley White Musk that was given to my mom by a relative from abroad. I was in elementary back then and I have no idea about body lotions. All I knew was that it has to be applied to the skin after taking a bath. So when I entered junior high school, I've learned that there are different brands of body lotions in the market and it was from Nivea that I first saw a whitening variant.

From then on, Nivea has been a household brand and an essential in my skincare regimen. I've tried different variants in their whitening line in the past and was able to make a review of the old formulation, click here. Fast forward today, Nivea is still the number one brand when it comes to whitening lotions. What I noticed is that they made it more affordable to the consumers and offered a wide array of variants that target specific problems in the whitening and anti-aging department. Sharing some of my recent Nivea Whitening Lotion finds here in the Philippines from their official Shopee store below :)

Watsons Make Your Summer Campaign

Tuesday, March 28, 2017

So it's summer dearies, what are your plans? Where to this summer 2017? My summer started early, last week to be exact for our Singapore Tour. Travelling abroad is one of the things that I want to tick off my bucket list this year and I'm grateful that I went there with my son.

I'm so meticulous when travelling because I want to make sure I have all the essentials with me especially with skin care products. Summer means more sunscreen to use because of frequent sun exposure. Good thing that I have tons of sunblock and these was given by Watsons during their Make Your Summer Campaign launch. I bought a couple of brands with me in our trip and I'm glad that Watsons is carrying those brands. More information about the campaign after the jump!

Product Review: Nivea Intensive Moisture Body Milk

Wednesday, September 04, 2013

Hello dearies! Time for another review. It's nice to be back after how many days of just posting pr's and giveaways. My apologies for not updating lately because I'm not feeling well these past few days. Anyhoo, lets go back to the basic idea why we need to use lotion. This product review is meant for this coming season where our weather changes from wet to dry. Ber months means we're nearing Christmas and the atmosphere will be cold specially at night. When the weather gets cold, I know most of us experienced dry skin. Dry skin can be itchy and in most cases can lead to flaky skin. We need a heavy duty moisturizing lotion to keep our skin soft and smooth to touch. Thanks to Nivea for sending this over last January, dry skin is not a problem now.

Long-lasting and intensive care for dry to very dry skin.
New NIVEA Intensive Moisture Body Milk
Enriched with high concentrated Vitamin E, the new non-sticky formula repairs dry and rough skin to become soft and smooth immediately. Together with Grape Seed Oil and Avocado Oil it provides effective yet natural care for silkier and smoother skin.
Your skin becomes noticeably softer, smoother and more supple within 7 days.

Press Release: Clothing Stains No More with Nivea Deodorant Invisible for Black and White

Tuesday, July 16, 2013

The first deodorant with 48-hour anti-perspirant protection that leaves no white marks on dark fabrics and also minimizes yellow stains on light-colored clothes

Most common among the problems one encounters when using a deodorant are having stains left on the fabric of their clothing after use. A deodorant can cause two types of stains on clothing. The white marks that appear on dark textiles immediately after application are mostly residues of the antiperspirant salts used in the deodorant, which may be a temporary annoyance, but can be generally washed out without too much difficulty.

The cause of the second type of stain – yellowish stains in the underarm area on light fabrics – don’t appear immediately after deodorant is applied but often after several washes. They won’t come out with laundry detergent anymore and they get more noticeable over time as the fibers (of the textile) harden. This can make the garment unwearable.

Thursday, June 20, 2013

Exactly a month ago I posted the first part of my collective winnings and I'm very thankful for the prizes and my first magazine feature courtesy of BDJ Box and Pantene Philippines. I told   you in this post HERE that there's another batch of prizes from the giveaways that I've joined. So here it is, the second part of my giveaway winnings from January to May. I will randomly post the photos of the prizes here because I forgot the date when I won the said giveaways, old age I guess? Haha! I'm very happy to share this second part of the giveaway winnings I accumulated for the past few months because one of the giveaways that I've joined made my entry be featured in Smart Parenting magazine. My story for Wilkins Moms Know Best is one of the the runners-up and will be featured on the September issue. The story that I shared there is not beauty or skin care related. It's all about being a mother. I'll post the link of my story here and hope that it will serve an inspiration to all moms and parents out there. Another reason why this post is very delayed because some of the prizes had to be claimed personally like the Godiva Skin Care Set which I claimed during the Bloggers United 5 event while the cash prize and Wilkins GCs at the Ogilvy office. As a full-time mom, I have to schedule the claiming of prizes during hubby's rest day when he can look after my son. I will just make this post quick, thank you for reading dears!

Collective Haul (January, February and March)

Saturday, March 16, 2013

Hellos! I would like to share my recent and not so recent skin care and makeup haul. I decided to make this post collective so that you'll not get bored of seeing same products that I buy to replenish my skin care essentials every month. I already posted my review of BYS Lipstick and Eskinol Spot-less Facial Cleanser before this haul post, I know it should be haul first before review but it's better late than never right?

Most of the items here are my favorites like All Organics Lemongrass Toner, Snoe white The Special Black Bleaching Bar, Quick FX Pimple Eraser, Purederm Facial Wipes and Nivea Extra Whitening Lotion. Just click on the link for full review of each product.
ESKINOL Spot-less White Facial Cleanser
All Organics Lemongrass Toner
BYS Lipstick in Champagne Rain
Snoe white The Special Black Bleaching Bar

My recent skin care buddy is the Eskinol Spot-less White Facial Cleanser. It's my 2nd bottle now and I'm loving how it removes deep seated dirt while making dark spots and blemishes less visible than before.
QUICK FX Pimple Eraser
Purederm Makeup Cleansing Tissues
Great news for Quick FX Pimple Eraser users. The old packaging has been replaced with this one that has a resealable cap. No more worries of contamination and spillage!
NIVEA Whitening Cell Repair
Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick in Off Beat Pink
I already  made a review of Nivea Whitening Cell Repair Protect and this is my favorite lotion of all time. Since it's summer and I'm always outdoors, I decided to try this variant because it's suitable for frequent sun exposure. I also bought a new lipstick and this time from Ever Bilena, heard it's a dupe for MAC Pink Noveau. Let's see how this will look on my pigmented lips. Will post swatch and review in a week's time.
Tony Moly Baby Doll Pot Concealer 01
Tony Moly Dear Me Petite Cotton BB Cream 01
Yay! My first full-size, unused bb cream :) I'm a bb cream addict. I started using bb creams 4 years ago and tried more than 10 brands. It's a trial and error experience. Even if I found my HG bb creams- Skin79, Skinfood, Laneige and Kate to name a few, I still feel the need to look for something new. I guess that's the reason why I don't buy full-sized bb creams. This concealer is my lemming and finally got my own pot already. I've read positive reviews about this concealer, will road test the product for a week or two before sharing my own review.

Basically that's it for now. Leave a comment below if you use the same skin care and makeup products. Have you joined my giveaways yet? Click here to join ^_^

Hi loves! How's your week doing so far? My Monday started not so well. I had headache the whole day yesterday and today. Product Review: Nivea Visage Soft Facial Cleansing Wipes

Wednesday, November 23, 2011

Sorry for the lack of post. After watching Breaking Dawn, Edward Cullen doesn't stop swirling on my mind so I forgot that I have to review some products that I purchased a week ago.

On to the review, this facial wipes is just a substitute to my favorite Neutrogena facial wipes that I've been using more than a year now. The SA said that Neutrogena is always out of stock these past few days. I have no choice, I ran out of facial wipes so I have to buy Nivea instead. This wipes can be used for face, neck and eyes. You can see on the upper left portion of the packaging the word INNOVATION meaning new soft fleece with intensively cleaning micro-sponges and because of this I'm sold.

The new generation of Nivea Visage Soft Facial Cleansing Wipes with intensively cleansing micro sponges guarantee an extraordinary thorough yet mild cleansing. Effect: Thoroughly  remove all traces of make-up, purify and tone the skin in one step. Alcohol free, the new soft fleece wipes are also suitable for sensitive skin. Result: Deeply purified, your skin looks fresh and clean.  It feels soft and smooth. For every skin type/Ophthalmologically tested, skin compatability, Dermatologically approved
Nivea Visage Soft Facial Cleansing Wipes
Nivea Visage Soft Facial Cleansing Wipes
By the way, I tested this for a week and I used this for removing my BB ream, eyebrow powder and eyeliner on my face.

Nivea Visage Soft Facial Cleansing Wipes
Eyeliner on the upper left corner, BBcream on the middle, lipstick stain on the lower left . Sorry for the blurry pic.
size: 25 wipes

price: 52 php (Around $1.20)

place bought: Tickles, Trinoma

direction for use: pull out one wipe and gently cleanse face and eyes with the micro-sponge fleece. carefully re-seal the pack label after use.

What I like:
  • Soft to use and take off most of my makeup.
  • I only use 1 sheet for my entire face.
  • I can also use this in removing my eyeliner.
  • No irritation or breakouts or whatsoever.
  • It has a light powdery scent that is not overpowering.
  • Manufacturing and expiry date is printed on the packaging.
  • Affordable for a 25 pcs. wipes compared to other brands.
What I don't like:
  • There is no English translation in the Arabic text at the back of the package.
  • There is no product ingredients.
  • Not easily accessible, I need to go to Trinoma to buy this and it's a bit far away from where I live.
  • I need to wipe my eyelids more than three times to remove my eyeliner so I use baby oil first so I can swipe it only once.
Will I repurchase?Maybe Yes, If my favorite Neutrogena facial wipes is still OOS.

Recommendation:
I give this 3.75/5 rating. As for removing dirt and makeup in my face this does the job but you still need to use facial wash to remove traces of makeup. Using this wipes is just an extra step so that your sure you cleanse your face thoroughly then follow your cleanse-tone-moisturize routine before hitting the sack.

Do you use facial wipes before washing you face? What brand do you use?

Good Times!~

Haul: Bath Essentials plus Makeup Stuff

Thursday, November 17, 2011

Another haul after visiting Asian Eye Institute at TriNoma. It's crazy that all sales are everywhere! TriNoma is also having a sale of up to 70% till the end of the month. I want to congratulate my self for not spending too much yesterday. Mall sales can be tempting for a cheapskate like me and I have to stop myself from buying because I'm saving for something expensive.

Anyhoo, I bought 3 soaps from All Organics, a white eyeliner, a body scrub and a substitute for my facial wipes which is OOS again. My favorite facial wipes is Neutrogena. Since I ran out of my wipes, I have to purchase Nivea instead.

L-R: All Organics Calamansi Soap, Papaya with Glutathione Soap, A Bonne' Spa White C Salt,
Shawill Eyeliner and Nivea Visage Cleansing Wipes

I will be reviewing A Bonne' Spa White C Salt Scrub on my next post. This is my HG body scrub and been using it for more than a year now. I will also share my thoughts on Nivea facial wipes and Shawill eyeliner. I need to practice lining my waterlines before making a review on Shawill eyeliner.

What's your latest haul?Happy Wednesday everyone!

Good Times!~

Product Review: Nivea Whitening Cell Repair and Protect Body Milk 40x Vitamin C

Tuesday, November 01, 2011

Hi dearies! How's your day? First of all, Happy Halloween! Are you ready to visit your loved ones at the cemetery later? By the way, I wanted to ask an apology if I cannot give you good quality pictures here in my blog because my digicam's batteries are not working. So please bear with me, I'm just using my phone's camera and can't stop myself from posting reviews these past few nights.

When I ran out of another favorite lotion (Mistine), I opt to substitute Nivea Whitening lotions. It's my first love and will always be :) I know Nivea's range of products grew bigger and bigger nowadays. I can still remember how its container transformed from simple bottles to sexy ones. Even though I use Mistine lotion for more than two years now, Nivea still has a place in my heart. It's my first whitening lotion and I know it does the job with regular use.

On to the review, I'm about to finish this small bottle of Nivea Whitening Cell Repair and Protect Body Milk 40x Vitamin C. When I saw this on the shelve, I was confused because there's the same bottle of this lotion but doesn't have the vitamin C picture at the bottom of the bottle. So what I did was hold both bottles in my hand and see the difference. Both are whitening and cell repair. The one with berry and licorice extract and the other one with camu camu and acerola cherry extract. I got puzzled so i bought the latter.

Nivea Whitening Cell Repair and Protect
Specially developed for the needs of Asian skin, offers concentrated whitening from nature for fairer and radiant skin. Its 40 times higher antioxidant Vitamin C concentration protects skin from the harmful effects of the sun even with normal sun exposure.

size: 125ml

price: 129php (Around $3.00)

place bought: Sm Supermarket, Watson's Health and Beauty Store, Robinson's Supermarket, all leading supermarkets and groceries nationwide

instructions for use: spread the lotion all over the body, I use it after taking a bath in the morning.

ingredients: Aqua, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Isopropyl Palmitate, Paraffinum Liquidum, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Glycyrrhiza Glabra Root Extract, Myrciaria Dubia Fruit Juice, Glyceryl Glucoside, Malpighia Glabra Fruit Juice, Butyl, Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Stearic Acid, Palmitic Acid, Myristic Acid, Arachidic Acid, Oleic Acid, Sodium Carbomer, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetyl Palmitate, Propylene Glycol, Polysorbate 20, Tapioca Starch, Trideceth-9, Citric Acid, Trisodium EDTA, Alcohol Denat., Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Parfum

Nivea Whitening Cell Repair and Protect Body Milk
2nd to the smallest size

Nivea Whitening Cell Repair and Protect Body Milk
 The consistency is runny

What I like:
  • Affordable.
  • Since it has a runny consistency, the lotion is absorbed faster.
  • It is very light and non-greasy.
  • The shape of the bottle is sexy compared to other lotion bottles.
  • Moisturizes my skin feels, soft and smooth after use.
  • Has UV protection.
  • The scent is a bit powdery but not overpowering.
  •  Lightens and evens out skin, I think after using it for more than 3 months.

What I don't like:
  • None

Will I repurchase? Yes! I always have a stock of this in my cabinet. I use this as a backup when I ran out of Mistine lotion. Both are effective, I have this notion of not using a lotion for more than three months because I don't want a plateau effect on whitening so I use it alternately after two or three months.

Recommendation:
I give this lotion a 5/5 rating. I love Nivea and how it lightens my skin. I can attest to its lightening effect because I've been using it for years. If you want to try a whitening lotion that is affordable, then Nivea is the one your looking for. But results is not just 1-2-3, you have to be patient and use it religiously.

Have you tried the new Nivea Whitening lotion? What Nivea lotion do you use? Share your thoughts!

Good Times!~
