Product Review: Snoe White Organic Papaya Beauty Bar

Thursday, February 07, 2013

Finally, I'll be sharing my thoughts on this soap after using it for more than 3 weeks now. You now that I love Snoe white soaps sooo much! This is my 5th variant of soap from Snoe and methinks their soap was formulated for my skin. From Vitamin C Rich CalamansiOrganic Green Papaya, The Special Black Bleaching Bar, Special Kojic and Glutathione soaps that I considered award-winning in terms of whitening department, here's another soap from Snoe to love. I'm also adding this soap on the list above because I also find this effective in terms of whitening but it's very gentle on skin. So if you're confused and don't know what soap to choose among the 10 variants, then Organic Papaya will be the best bet for sure.

When you visit the FB page of Snoe Beauty particularly on Snoe White beauty soaps, you'll see a chart where you can select a soap bar that can give you 2 or 3 results in just one bar. This chart already indicated the variant of soap depending on your skin needs. But always remember that each soap will have different reactions on each individual because we have different skin types and conditions. I'm hoping that you'll also consider some factors like your age and make sure you know if you're allergic to one of its ingredients so that you can have peace of mind in trying new soaps. Now here it is, my honest to goodness review of another soap that I'm sure you'll see on my next haul posts :D Enjoy reading!

What I like:
  • It's organic!
  • Cute and Fancy packaging.
  • Doesn't melt fast.
  • Smells divine! The best scent among the papaya soaps I've tried.
  • This soap is gentle even on my sensitive face even if I leave the lather for more than 2 minutes, no itchiness or redness. (But don't leave it for more than 3 minutes, it's always best to follow what's instructed, right?)
  • There's a certain glow on my skin after use.
  • Doesn't dry my skin.
  • Everytime I use this on my face, I feel my skin becomes soft and smooth to touch.
  • Easily accessible~ Cinderella Sm Fairview carries Snoe products now!!! Yay :D

  • Has manufacturing and expiry date printed on pagkaging.
What I don't like:
  • Since this is a gentle in terms of whitening, you'll not see immediate results.
Will I repurchase? Yes!

Recommendation:
I give this soap a 4.5/5 rating. Use the soap as instructed. Not to be used for sensitive skin. Always use sunblock with spf 30 or higher to protect your skin from the sun. There's 10 variants of Snoe white soaps to try and it's formulated to cater every skin need. Yay! This is the 5th variant of soap from Snoe that I'm also loving now. It's gentle and mild in terms of whitening. I guess I have to make this another substitute in my HG snoe soaps so that my skin will have a resting period and will not be immune to those ingredients. I highly recommend this soap, my skin loves it! Methinks of making combo soaps after trying all the 10 variants so that I can recommend which soap goes best with.

What SNOE variant combo do you think will suit your skin needs? Share away dearies?

Watsons + SNOE Beauty Haul

Thursday, October 25, 2012

Hello there! Just a quick haul post for today. I asked Kenzo to watch Little Einsteins from the TV so I'm here typing faster than the usual because I told him this: mommy will borrow the laptop, count 1-10! Hehehe! So last weekend I went shopping to replenish my bath essentials and look what I found at Watsons, a charcoal toothbrush! My toothbrush brand is Colgate but the charcoal thing-y caught my attention so I decided to buy it and see what's the difference from the regular bristles. I ran out of conditioner and my plan was to try the Dove conditioner for color-treated hair. I haven't seen this variant before and I'm not sure if it's available here already. My cousin mentioned it to me a month ago. I tried looking for it at Watsons and Sm supermarket but I found none. My second option was Color Me Happy but it's OOS so my last resort was Pure Beauty Treatment Conditioner and it's my 2nd bottle now.
Pure Beauty Treatment conditioner
Watsons Charcoal toothbrush
Since I'm very busy lately and have no time to book for an appointment at my fave waxing salon, I just bought this hair removal paper and use the remaining Strip It wax that I won from a giveaway. I ran out of facial wipes and the aloe vera variant was OOS so I opted for the green tea instead.

Product Review: Snoe White Special Kojic and Glutathione Combo Beauty Bar

Wednesday, October 24, 2012

Hi there! This will be a quick post for today. I'm squeezing in this review before doing mommy duties because Kenzo will be up in no time now and he'll be watching cartoons till sunrise on YT.

I really love Snoe! I'm using 3 variants of Snoe white beauty bar for more than 6 months now. I can say it's really effective especially in giving my skin the glow it needs. I'm currently using Vitamin C Rich Calamansi, Special Black Bleaching and Organic Green Papaya. I use them alternately depending on my mood or when I want to target specific problems in my face and body. Just click here, here and here if you want to read my reviews and see which one is my fave.

Red is one of my favorite colors. That's why I got sold when I saw this variant of Snoe white soap at Cinderella, Sm Farview. Aside from the color, I'm sure that kojic-gluta combination is a must try. These 2 powerful whitening ingredients will surely give the boost that my skin needs- in the whitening department per se. Since I'm already fair, I want to even out some parts of my body that's always exposed to the heat of the sun.
Snoe White Special Kojic and Glutathione Combo Beauty Bar
No.3 Special Kojic and Glutathione Combo Beauty Bar produces double whitening action of both high-grade Kojic and Glutathione. Inhibits melanin production to whiten skin blemishes and dark spots. Dries out, prevents pimples and helps remove blackheads. Thus, creating younger fairer skin.

  • It's organic!
  • Cute packaging
  • Doesn't melt fast.
  • The scent is not overpowering.
  • Exfoliates really well compared to other Snoe soaps that I've tried.
  • There's a certain glow on my skin after use.
  • Doesn't dry my skin.
  • Easily accessible~ Cinderella Sm Fairview carries Snoe products now!!! Yay :D
  • Affordable
What I don't like:
  • No batch, manufacturing and expiry date.
Will I repurchase? Yes!

Recommendation:
I give this soap a 4.75/5 rating. Use the soap as instructed. Not to be used for sensitive skin. Always use sunblock with spf 30 or higher to protect your skin from the sun. There's 10 variants of Snoe white soaps to try and it's formulated to cater every skin need. I already tried and tested 4 of them and I'm sure that I'll be trying another variant soon. This soap is what I've used during my rest period from the special black bleaching bar. It's somehow milder and whitens gently. I highly recommend this soap, my skin loves it!

Haul + Thank you Mama for this bag

Wednesday, September 26, 2012

Hello loves! Been very busy last week hence lack of post. Have you joined my three giveaways yet? If not, click here, here and here to join :D I still have another giveaway coming this October so keep on checking for updates. I have so many things to share with you like another batch of winnings, haul posts, product reviews and the Lolita Fragrance Launch that I attended last week. So for this post, I wanna share with you my recent haul mostly skin care products like soaps and toner. A printed canvass bag that was given to me by my mom when I visited them weeks ago.

My original plan was to restock on All Organics Lemongrass toner when I claimed my Laniege Snow BB Cushion at Trinoma. But I can't resists the urge to buy a bar of my favorite Calamansi soap even though I still have one in my closet (yes, I keep them in my closet so that my clothes will smell citrusy :P) and a new one in my soap dish.
All Organics Lemongras Facial Toner
All Organics Calamansi Soap
Laneige Snow BB Soothing Cushion 4g Samples
Snoe white no. 10 Special Black Bleaching Bar
I was in a hurry that day but when I passed by the Snoe counter, I decided to buy another bar of soap. The Special Black Bleaching bar was out of stock that day and the SA said that they already had a Snoe counter at Sm Fairview located inside Cinderella. Yehey!!! I can now buy my favorite soaps from Snoe anytime I want since SM Fairview is just 10 mins away from our house.
Snoe white no.3 Special Kojic with Glutathione Beauty Bar
Yay! Another soap from Snoe white, I heard Kojic and Glutathione combo is another way to effectively even out skin tone. Let's see if this will pass my standards when it comes to whitening department. I have high hopes with Snoe and I'm sure this will be another HG.

Genevieve Gozum Printed Canvass Bag
My mon gave me this shoulder/body bag when I visited them weeks ago. I'm not sure if this can pass as aztec or tribal in terms of the print. I still don't know what kind of outfit will suit this bag. Any suggestions from you will be highly appreciated. Thanks a lot!!!

Good Times!~

My Recent Hair and Skin Care Haul

Tuesday, July 31, 2012

Here's another haul post guys. Actually the first photo was purchased two weeks ago while the latter was bought yesterday. One of hubby's rest day is reserve for grocery and mini shopping day. We usually buy Kenzo's stuff at Sm Supermarket but this time we decided to go at Trinoma. I always enjoy our grocery time because Kenzo loves riding the push cart. When I saw those cute push carts at The Landmark grocery, I'm very excited for my son. So when we went their to buy our grocery, Kenzo's very eager to ride the push carts with kiddie ride thingy.

So here's what I bought two weeks ago: My second bottle of VMV Hypoallergenics Skin-Saving Antiperspirant Spray. Would you believe that my first bottle lasted for a year? I'm really in love with this product. I sweat a lot because it runs in the family. We have active sweat glands and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not. I'm glad that I discovered this skin care line from VMV and will post my review soon. The price is a bit steep for an antiperspirant but one things for sure, it will really make you feel comfortable! I also bought the Pure Beauty Treatment Conditioner. I read somewhere that this hair treatment line from Pure Beauty is somehow a dupe of Shiseido's Pure Tsubaki Treatment Shampoo and Conditioner. I already made a review on Pure Beauty Treatment Shampoo and I love how it made my color treated hair smooth and shiny.
VMV Skin Saving Antiperspirant from- 420php to 380 php
Pure Beauty Treatment Conditioner with Camellia Seed Oil- 249.75
And here's what I got yesterday: Asian Secrets Lulur Body Scrub in Licorice and Mulberry Leaf Extract which I really love! I think it's my 5th or 6th tub now? I just, just love using this scrub. Then I purchased only one soap from All Organics- Calamansi which I really miss since I'm fond of using Snoe soaps lately but this doesn't mean that I totally forgot this brand. This is my first HG organic soap and will always have a very big place in my heart :)))
Asian Secrets Lulur Body Scrub- 130php
All Organics Calamansi Soap- 70 php
Reviews will be posted soon :D I need to make sure I use the product before making a review so please bear with me if it takes me weeks or months on sharing my thoughts. So that's all for now. Thanks for reading my blog and I hope you enjoyed my haul post. Have a great ahead!

Product Review: Camaru Naturals Bamboo Charcoal Soap

Friday, July 27, 2012

Happy Friday guys! It's weekend already and I'm up again for another review. If you're following my journey about organic soaps, I'm sure you know that most of them gave positive results on my skin. See all my review here :D I always have high hopes when it comes to organic soap since this came to rescue when my face suffered from adult acne. Almost all the brands that I've tried became my HG or at least a great substitute when I ran out of stock. I thought I'll be forever hiyang with organic soap. This time I'll believe what the hubby always tell me, Life is never fair. At least with me- out of 5 different soaps that I've tried, there will be 1 that will give negative result. And now it happened.

After receiving my Everyday Essentials Loot from The Beauty Junkee, I decided to give the Camaru Naturals Bamboo Charcoal soap a try. I had cystic acne on my chin and right cheek that day so when I arrived home I cut the soap and use it as my facial wash. I used it religiously for 3 weeks, day and night. I know there's something wrong from the very beginning but I just ignored it since I really need to see if there's an improvement on the cystic pimples on my face. I also read positive reviews about the wonders of charcoal in detoxifying skin impurities that's why I didn't hesitated to give it a try.

Two weeks after using the soap, my skin was still the same. Cystic acne was still there. My skin got a bad reaction, it's like I had a burned skin on the corners of my mouth and in some part of my face. I still gave the soap another week but I guess that's it, this soap is not for me :( But fret not, I think this soap is still worth a try if your skin is very oil and not sensitive. Don't click the [x] yet, read on to see my full review.
Camaru Naturals Bamboo Charcoal Soap
INFO TAKEN FROM CAMARU NATURALS
Bamboo charcoal soap is one of the best soaps for acne in the world. It possesses ancient mystical powers that allow it to clean deep down beneath the pores like no soap can. One of the ways it does this is with Activated Bamboo Charcoal. Activated bamboo charcoal is added to the organic soap to allow it to draw dirt from deep inside the pores. This gives the acne skin a clean like no soap can clean and the feeling is quite noticeable. Once our pores our cleaned thoroughly our body provides natural moisturizes back to the acne skin allowing the skin to breathe plus leaving the skin incredibly soft and revitalized. Unlike bamboo charcoal soap most soaps will leave a residue on our skin after washing and this blocks the skins natural moisturizers from coating the skin. If you suffer from acne skin you need to try this wonderful soap. Results are quick and you will see a difference in a few days.
Camaru Naturals Bamboo Charcoal Soap
TREATING YOUR SKIN with BAMBOO CHARCOAL SOAP
Bamboo Charcoal also called "Takesumi" in Japanese, is widely used in Japan to activate skin. This natural element has been used in Japan for many years because of its detoxifying power. It has naturally occurring anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties. It effectively cleanses and unclogs pores, removing impurities and dead skin cells from the top layer of the skin, leaving skin supple, delicate and smooth.
The bamboo charcoal soap, acts as an antioxidant and regular use can help clear blemished skin.

size: 135g

price: free (125php Around $2.90+)

place bought: free (Camaru Naturals Facebook page/online)

instructions for use: Lather directly onto wet skin. Rinse with water. Excellent for use on face, hand and body. Use daily for a smooth, clear and radiant complexion.

ingredients: Activated (Bamboo) Charcoal, Rice Bran Oil, Virgin Camellia Oil, Jojoba Oil, Coconut Oil, Molasses, Vitamin E, Glycerin

Camaru Naturals Bamboo Charcoal Soap
I didn't finish the whole bar. I only cut a fraction of it and just got melted on the soap dish after losing hope that it will work for me :(

What I like:
  • It's organic.
  • Very affordable for a 135g soap.
  • Lathers well, forms a rich thick lather.
  • The smell is not overpowering.
What I don't like:
  • As much as I wanted this to work, nothing happened with my cystic pimples.
  • It made my sensitive skin more susceptible to redness thus caused a little burned skin on the corner of my mouth.
  • Not readily available, you have to purchase online.
  • No manufacturing and expiry date.

Will I repurchase? No. I'll just repurchase the Acerola White C which gave positive results on my skin.

Recommendations:
I give this soap a 3/5 rating. I envy those girls who tried this because their zits dried up after a day and their skin cleared up in just a month. Don't lose hope with this soap. Maybe it's just me who experienced negative results. I can say that bamboo charcoal is harsh for my sensitive and thin skin. So if you want to try this soap, make a patch test first. Always bear in mind that Natural products can cause allergic reactions. In my case, if the product still gives negative reaction on my skin after three weeks then it's not suited for me.

Have you tried charcoal soaps before? How does it fare with your skin? Have a great weekend guys!

Good Times!~

Product Review: Camaru Naturals Acerola White C Whitening Soap

Thursday, July 26, 2012

Hi dearies! My 100th follower giveaway is ending soon. You can still log in your entries here. Before I start this review I wanna say thank you so much for reading this simple blog. I'm not expecting too much, I just want to share my journey on finding budget friendly and cost-effective skin care most specially organic ones. Honestly, organic products became my skin's best friend. I suffered worst adult acne before, I went to facial salons to somehow minimize the damage it made to my skin but none really worked. It just gave me short-term effects and made my bank broke. It's very tiring to go on the same routine when you didn't notice any significant changes. I'm not saying that organic or natural products can be safe for everyone. I always say this precaution on my review that it can also cause allergies too. So use the product on your own risk. We have different skin conditions, what works for me may not work for you or vice versa.

Since I really love the effect of organic soaps on my skin, I'm always giddy to try new brands. I already found my HG soaps: All Organics Calamansi, All Organics Bengkoang, Snoe Vitamin C Rich Calamansi and Snoe Organic Green Papaya that I use alternately or depending on my mood. I just wish that All Organics and Snoe will have a boutique or kiosk near my place or at Sm Fairview so that I don't have to go at Trinoma to replenish my stocks.

When I saw Camaru Naturals on GT Forums, I asked myself if I'm ready to try another brand again. I was very curious about the brand name because it sounded Japanese to me. I'm a self-confessed Japanese culture addict before, I like their culture and their skin care products. So to feed my curiosity I started looking for positive testimonials about their soap. When I joined TBJ's 3rd Anniversary Grand Giveaway I felt very excited because she's giving away Camaru Naturals products. Luckily, I won and it's a sign that I really need to try the soap. After a month of usage, here's my take on Camaru Naturals Acerola White C naturally rich in vitamin C whitening soap :D
RENEWING your skin with CAMARU NATURALS ACEROLA White C SOAP.
Acerola fruit is abundantly found in Brazil. It is one of the world's richest natural sources of Vitamin C. This important antioxidant ingredient helps to reverse the effects of skin damage caused by the sun and pollution and helps brighten uneven skin tone.

This whitening soap is made from the extract of Acerola fruit combined with Camellia Oil, Rice Bran Oil and Carica Papaya Extract to give you a healthier, brighter and younger looking skin.

CAMARU NATURALS ACEROLA White C SOAP.
size: 135g

price: free (125php Around $2.90+)

place bought: free (Online through their Facebook page)

instruction for use: Lather directly onto wet skin. Rinse with water. Excellent for use on face, hand and body. Use daily for a smooth, clear and radiant complexion.

ingredients: Organic Acerola Fruit Extract (from Brazil), Rice Bran Oil, Virgin Camellia Oil, Carica Papaya Extract, Jojoba Oil, Coconut Oil, Molasses, Vitamin E, Glycerin

What I like:
  • It's organic!
  • The price- very affordable for a 135g soap.
  • I love the citrusy smell, it's like lemon lime.
  • It produces a very rich and thick lather.
  • My skin feels squeaky clean after taking a bath.
  • I used it on my body and it really does the job on exfoliation department.
  • It tightens the skin and gives a "glow" that makes the skin supple.
What I don't like:
  • A bit drying that is natural with whitening soaps.
  • There's no manufacturing and expiration date.
  • Not easily accessible, you have to purchase online.
Will I repurchase? Yes!

Recommendation:
I give this soap a 4.25/5 rating! I like using the soap on my body. If you find the soap drying, use your favorite lotion after taking a bath. The soap doesn't melt easily so it's okay if you'll let the whole bar sit on the soap dish itself. With my experience with other organic soaps, some tends to melt easily. Always remember that natural skin care products can also cause allergic reactions. It's better to test the soap first on small area of your body just to be sure that it's safe on your skin.

Have you tried Camaru Naturals skin care products? Thanks for sharing! Take care guys :D

Product Review: Cyleina Organic Carrot Soap

Monday, June 11, 2012

Another organic soap review! If my memory serves me right, the first time I bought an organic soap was 5 years ago. I'm sooo curious with the label natural and organic during that time. My mind is easily swayed by positive feed backs from GT forum and I can't resists when someone swears it's effective! my skin got lighter, I noticed that I'm glowing, blah, blah, blah. Cyleina is the first brand of organic soap that I've tried. I had a good experience with their soaps before. I can say it's both effective and affordable but after some time I just got bored with it. Maybe my skin got immune with it and the effect that I wanted just plateaud after two years of daily use but their Kojic Acid became a staple in our bathroom.

So when I ran out of my favorite organic soaps and have no time to visit Trinoma, I always end up buying Cyleina. Without a doubt, their soap still deserves a review in my blog. I can call this a life saver! My love for organic soap will go on and on. After two weeks of using Cyleina carrot soap, here's my initial review. I will update this post once I finished the whole bar.
Cyleina Organic Carrot Soap
The organic carrot extract in Cyleina soap is  power packed with anti-oxidants, Alpha  Hydroxy Acids and vitamins A&C, formulated to lighten skin tone, revitalize skin, get rid of blackheads, provide acne relief, promote smooth, younger and glowing healthy skin.
Cyleina Organic Carrot Soap
The soap is white in color but has this orange-y patches on it.
size: 120grams

price: 65php (Around $1.50)

place bought: Watson's Health and Beauty Store, Sm Fairview

instruction for use: Use as bath soap and facial wash, for face and body

ingredients: Vegetable Oil, Almond Oil, Cocao Butter, Carrot, Pineapple Extract, Cinnamon Powder and Essential Oils

What I like:
  • It's organic!
  • The scent- smells like candy, sweet but not overpowering.
  • Gives a "glow" on skin after use.
  • It lightened (just a bit) some very small dark spots on my face but it took two weeks.
  • Affordable
  • Easily accessible- now available at Watson's.
  • Wide selection of soap for different skin needs.
  • Has manufacturing and expiry date.
  • Their packaging is cute and eye-catching.
  • The soap produces rich and thick foam.
What I don't like:
  • Melts easily unlike All Organics (same organic soap which doesn't contain any soap hardener).
  • A bit drying on skin.
Will I repurchase? Maybe, If I see good results within a month. Carrot soap is new to me so I need to gauge it first before getting hooked.

Recommendation:
I give this soap a 4/5 rating. What amazed me is the soap's ability to give a rosy glow on my cheeks. I'm still giving this a month to see if there's a change on the color of my pimple marks.

That's all for now. I'm having a Mini THANK YOU Giveaway here:

Don't forget to join :D

Good Times!~
