     Glutathione has been a part of our skin-care products which helps us achieve fairer and even-toned skin. But do you know that there are actually two types of glutathione and that not all glutathione supplements are the same?

     The first type of glutathione, L-glutathione (reduced), is the one that is more familiar to the public since it is the most common glutathione present in the food supplements that we take. The only downside to this type is that there are limitations when it comes to its effectiveness. L-glutathione still needs to be oxidized in our body so that it can be converted into something that can be easily absorbed by our body.

     Multivitamins, dietary supplements, and everything in between that will boost the immune system in the time of pandemic is in or should I say it a must! Whenever I buy my son's vitamins at the drugstore, the SA (sales attendant) will always recommend a random glutathione brand that I need to take in conjunction with vitamin c for more health benefits.

     So today, I'll be reviewing an all in one supplement for whiter, younger and glowing skin. This brand has been in the market for years now and if my memory serves me right, Tatiomax Glutathione Complex with Fucoidan is a new formulation- an advanced anti-aging formula for detoxification, immune boosting, cell rejuvenator and potent antioxidant. If you’re the type who likes to take anti-aging and overall wellness to the next level, this supplement is for you. A bit pricey but it’s FDA approved plus vegetarian-friendly. Cheska's Store sent this for me to try and test if it's true to their claims especially in the whitening and anti-aging department. Sharing more of my after taking this capsule for one month below.

Product Review: KB Glutathione + NAC (KB GlutaNAC) and Rosehips (Kyusoku Bihaku Glutathione)

     I’ve been doing product reviews since time immemorial and beauty supplement review is one of my forte. I can’t believe that it's only this year that I decided to try KB L-glutathione plus NAC. This glutathione brand has been in the market for years already and from oral beauty supplements, they are now offering personal care products like lotion, body soap, towel, teeth whitening, and more!

     I took this for a month together with their rosehips capsule. What I like is that taking glutathione does not only whiten skin as there’s so much more it can do to the body because it's an anti-oxidant.  

What's also amazing with this brand is it comes with its own rosehips extract supplement that is rich in vitamin C, vitamin A, calcium, iron plus a good source of bioflavonoids, pectin, vitamin E, selenium, manganese and b complex.     And the consistent effective glutathione brand in the Philippine market award goes to... Ishigaki! Hooray! Yes, this brand that was first introduced 10 years ago is still one of the most affordable and effective brands to date. My first review of Ishigaki Glutathione Whitening Supplement was 2015 and for a span of five years, I have seen how the brand improved its packaging and formulation one after the other. This brand is also a favorite amongst beauty bloggers in the Philippines and Pinay Youtubers are well.

     Ishigaki Glutathione is has been FDA approved since 2017 that's why aside from the certification from FDA, the variants have been repackaged, reformulated, and received a GMP seal. I presume that with all these changes, Ishigaki fans have this burning question if it has the same whitening and glowing effect after finishing one bottle.      It's a no brainer that we all need Vitamin C to boost our immune system. Vitamin C is one of the vitamins that we need to protect us from free radicals. We can get our daily dose from the food that we eat especially from fruits and vegetables that are rich in Vitamin C. Another option is from food supplements containing ascorbic acid or sodium ascorbate.

     Did you know that there are other forms of Vitamin C in the market today that can boost the immune system and beautify the skin at the same time? Yes, that's possible with Rosehip extract. I presume you've seen different skincare products containing rosehip extracts and its wonderful effects like brightening and toning. Rosehips now comes in a supplement form, thanks to KB Glutathione (Yumei Mise) for making the first rosehip capsule brand in the Philippines because taking vitamin c has never been this good. Product Review: Shiseido Benefique White Bloom

     I'm totally giving Japanese beauty supplements a thumbs up when it comes to whitening department even though it's not budget-friendly, it delivers. The results are visible that will make you consider it as one of your maintenance beauty supplement after achieving a lighter and glowing skin tone in just a month of taking it.

     One of the Japanese supplements that I will highly recommend is another baby from Shiseido. Shiseido Benefique White Bloom is one of their premium beauty supplements to date. According to them, it's the combination of their infamous Purewhite W (an anti-oxidant) plus Whisis LCEX (l-cysteine) known to be potent boosters of glutathione that targets mostly freckles and pigmentation caused by sun exposure.      Hello dearies! I've been receiving questions about the best glutathione brands that I've tried to date. Among the brands that I've reviewed, I always recommend three to four brands based on their price, ingredients, and effects on my skin. These brands are tried and tested and many swears by their effects too. 

      Today, I'll be sharing another promising brand that I will include on my recommendation list. If you're NOT allergic to ALA (alpha lipoic acid) then rejoice now because of Relumins Glutathione 1000 mg or Relumins Gluta-1000 has the highest ALA content among the brand that I've tried. Alpha Lipoic Acid is one of the best glutathione boosters because it gives a beautiful glow and according to Livestrong, it is 400 times stronger than vitamin C and E. Product Review: Gluta-White 500

     I've made a lot of whitening supplements here on my blog. The most famous whitening supplement is glutathione and I presume that you already know what it does to your body aside from whitening. Glutathione is the favorite whitening pill of many Filipinas. It comes in different forms now and if you read the ingredients, one or more boosters are combined with glutathione to make the effect faster.

     For today, I'll be sharing my thoughts on Gluta-White 500- the first brand of glutathione that's listed on MIMS and does not contain any boosters in the ingredient. This one is pure L-glutathione in every capsule. If you're a beginner in taking whitening supplements, I highly suggest this brand because if allergic reactions arise, there's only one culprit.      To tell you honestly, I enjoyed eating this placenta jelly sticks. It's so yummy and it doesn't taste weird or smells funky unlike the collagen jelly stick. I also like the consistency of this more because it has a true jelly-like texture. I forgot that I'm taking placenta and just eating jelly for dessert. Yum!

     I'm expecting this product to be effective since it has around 4,000+ mg of collagen per serving. The average dosage of placenta extract is around 4,000-5,000 mg a day for it to be effective so this one did not fail on that part. It also contains a small amount of collagen so yay for the anti-aging department as it gives a little boost on that. Should I say placenta and collagen combined gives great results? Look at my photo below, no makeup only eyeliner on my eyelids. You can still see my Hori's nevus that I thought to be freckles, there's a pimple on my forehead, large pores on my nose but my face looks glowing and blooming even if I only have 4 hours of sleep.

What I like:

• Otsuka Placenta Jelly C is Japan FDA approved.
• The packaging- it's very handy and travel-friendly.
• It's wrapped individually, convenient to bring anytime, anywhere.
• This jelly stick form of placenta can be eaten any time of the day. It's perfect for snacks or dessert because it has a fruity flavor. I like the flavor of this, it's mango but there's a peach aftertaste. 
• Best paired with glutathione to boost and speed up the whitening process. But this one can also whiten the skin alone and give it a pinkish tone.
• I didn't experience any discomforts like vomiting, headache, nausea, breakouts or whatsoever.
• Otsuka Placenta C Jelly made my skin glowing even if there were times that I only have 4 hours of sleep.
• Gave me a smooth and supple skin during the time I'm taking this jelly. 
• My skin looks healthy and shiny- not the 'oil' type of shine, if you may ask.
• Batch, manufacturing and expiry date printed on the package.

What I don't like:

• The price- a bit steep for budget-conscious individuals.
• Not easily accessible.

Will I purchase? Yes, I'll maintain this supplement as I love the taste and the results on my skin. It's also an anti-aging and whitening product in one, so it's worth every peso.

Recommendation:

     I give this a 5/5 rating. The pictures don't lie. During the time I'm taking Otsuka Placenta C Jelly, I can go out with minimal or no makeup for reals! I highly recommend this product if you want to try anti-aging and whitening supplement in one. Since this already in jelly stick form, taking placenta is now enjoyable.

     As for other results in the anti-aging department like fewer wrinkles or fine lines, I think it will follow if Otsuka Placenta C Jelly is taken for months. I have a great experience while taking this product and if asked, I will maintain this in my anti-aging supplements.
