Avara Nature & Yacht Club Palawan

Tuesday, November 20, 2018

Imagine this: The sound of waves crashing on the shore and the sunlight peeking through the window wake you up on a lazy Saturday morning. You slowly open your eyes, afraid that you’re just in the middle of a dream. But you’re not. You stand up as you feel the gentle sea breeze touch your face. You go out of the porch and look at the horizon. You take your time to enjoy the beauty of the blue skies and the deep sea. The yacht will be waiting for you whenever you’re ready, anyway. That’s the promise of Avara Nature & Yacht Club—the easy life of the seaside.

Established by the Seaside Premier Development Corporation, Avara is the first of its kind nature and yacht club located at Calauag Bay in Taytay, which was Palawan’s first capital. The plan for the exclusive resort was formally unveiled at the Grand Hyatt Manila.
“After many months of sailing and voyaging aboard bangkas and riding waves, we found the perfect island in Taytay, Palawan to be the home of our pioneering project. It is with a great pleasure to present to you tonight, Avara Nature and Yacht Club - the first of its kind in the Philippines, bridging the middle class to the lifestyle of the rich and famous. As Seaside Premier Development Corporation’s flagship project, we aim to redefine seaside living, where nature meets luxury,” said by its President and CEO Ms. Veronica C. Young.

Fear of Flying and How to Overcome It

Friday, September 28, 2018

Fear of flying is something very common among human beings. We're made to move over our limbs, barely rising from the ground we're standing on. It's, therefore, a very natural phobia that has many people, there's no reason for shame. Anyway, if you want to go one step further and face your fear, here you have some tips that will help you to be flying all the time.

First of all, accept that fear. With pride, you don't get anything. You could say that flying is something you don't like, but you can't fool yourself. Flying is the most comfortable way to travel to faraway places, get to know other cultures and visit unknown cities. Don't miss these opportunities because of irrational pride.

How to Survive Traveling with Your Partner

Friday, July 27, 2018

The best way to get to know someone is to travel with them. No matter how well you think you know someone, traveling is still a new challenge in itself. For most couples, going somewhere new doesn’t come easily. It not only takes practice but also patience.

On the one hand, it doesn’t make much sense. Shouldn’t traveling with your partner be easy since you love spending time with them so much? Think of it this way: you probably don’t spend 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with them (or anyone). You’ve probably heard a horror story or two from someone you know who traveled with their partner only to break up immediately after returning home. These stories are more common than you think.

WACOAL Passion for Product Sewing and Material Factory Tour

Tuesday, May 22, 2018

The second day of our Wacoal Passion for Product Tour is one for the books. Our mission: discover how a brassiere is made and the intricate steps of making an undergarment- the Wacoal way! It's the day where we visited Wacoal Hokuriku Factory and Takeda Lace Co. Ltd. both located in Fukui Prefecture. It's an hour and forty minutes express train ride from Kyoto.

I'm so excited what's in store for me in these factories. I'm expecting that I will see the usual factory- unpleasant smell here, a messy corner there, and noise coming from machines everywhere. Upon stepping inside the factory, I was in disbelief with what I saw because it's totally different from the factory I knew. Read more below as I tour inside Wacoal factories and why the "Passion for Product" of Wacoal is becoming clearer now.

Planning Your Siargao Vacation

Tuesday, May 15, 2018

While El Nido and Boracay are still the 2 most popular islands in the Philippines, Siargao is quickly establishing itself as a strong candidate for 3rd place. And now, with Boracay’s being closed for at least 6 months for rehabilitation, visits to Siargao increased exponentially making it the hottest tourist spot in the country at the moment.

Siargao started out mainly as a backpacker’s destination, attracting mostly surfers coming to the famous Cloud Nine beach. With beautiful white sand beaches and stunning small islands and lagoons, it has remained one of the best-kept secrets in the Philippines. Now, people are starting to pick up on the fact this island is one of the most wonderful in the world.

Siargao has now reached a sweet spot where it’s popular enough that tourism is developed and well maintained, but the island still has that raw paradise vibe to it. This is the best time to visit the place before too many tourists turn it into just another Boracay.

WACOAL Passion for Product Tour Kyoto Japan

Thursday, April 19, 2018

Japan is my dream travel destination. Back in college, I decided to learn Nihonggo because I'm head over heels with Japanese culture. I love Japanese food, fashion, cars, and technology. The land of the rising sun has a distinct culture, a society that has a strong sense of national identity. The passion for everything they do is something I look up to and every time they introduce a new innovation in the market, I have no words but respect and admiration.

Last month, Japanese undergarment cult-favorite brand Wacoal invited bloggers and influencers from Southeast Asia including the Philippines to discover what's behind the brand's success over the years. Their history and their core value make Wacoal not just a brand but a brand full of passion with the aim of making women feel beautiful inside and out.

Explore Japan and Get Cozy at Karaksa Hotel

Monday, July 31, 2017

My ultimate dream destination is in the land of the rising sun, Japan! I have a thing with Japanese culture and studying basic Nihonggo when I was in college is one of the proof that I'm so in love with their culture. It's every Pinoy traveler’s dream destination-why wouldn’t it be, the place is screaming with so much culture and life, and every attraction is bucket-list worthy: the gleaming temples and architectures, modern cityscapes a la sci-fi film, stunning parks in vibrant colors, heavenly hot springs—all begging to be explored. In fact, Japan is the fourth most-visited country in Asia last year according to the World Tourism Organization, so it’s no doubt that it’s on top of most people’s bucket lists.

I'm saving big time for our Japan trip in the future and when travel comes to mind, the first thing to consider is the accommodation. Where to stay and how much will it cost? I think I've found an answer that I'm sharing with you after the jump :)

Zero Halliburton Now in the Philippines

Tuesday, April 25, 2017

After my recent travel to Singapore, I cringe thinking about my deformed luggage. I was like, "what the eff happened to my brand spanking new luggage as I saw a concave corner of it in the conveyor." It's a no brainer that a luggage will be thrown here, there, and everywhere upon check-in so a sturdy luggage is really important especially if you travel a lot.

A luggage is an investment and when I say investment, you really have to pay the price for the quality. Just recently, I was invited to the launch of Zero Halliburton, the only luggage to travel to the moon and back. Yes, this is not a joke. Sharing a short story of this global luggage brand and my picks below :)
