Product Review: Vice Cosmetics Duo Finish Foundation

     "Ganda for all" means that no matter what gender, age, skin color and skin texture you have, you are beautiful! This is what Vice Cosmetics is all about- "Ganda for you, ganda for all". I've known Vice Cosmetic because of Vice Ganda, the co-owner of the brand and from beauty bloggers that I follow who made reviews about their products.

     Vice Cosmetics first launched a lipstick line that's been a crowd favorite then followed by blush powders Early this month, another "pasabog" hit the makeup industry when they introduced their duo finish foundation with a tagline #GandangYouNaYou. I was invited to the unveiling of this promising face powder last week where we swatched and tried it on the spot to prove their claims.      Fashion 21 Matte Permanent Lipstick has a velvety texture. It glides smoothly on my lips upon application. It is very pigmented and goes opaque on my lips after two swipes. I like that it's crayon-type because it makes application of lipstick on the outer corner of my lips easy.

     The shades are wearable for Filipina skin tone. It's long wearing and leaves a beautiful stain after eating oily food. Even though it's dubbed as matte permanent lipstick, it's easy to remove using a lip makeup remover.

Product Review: Althea Petal Velvet Powder

     It's been ages since the last time I used a translucent powder to set my bb cream. I'm a fan of powder foundation because of extra coverage and finish. Last July, Althea Korea secretly selected bloggers to get the first dibs on their Althea Petal Velvet Powder. This finishing powder was launched early this month and upon reaching our doorstep, I've decided to use it immediately.

     So what is Althea Petal Velvet Powder? According to their website, it is Althea's very own product range and the Petal Velvet Powder is the first from the line. This is a translucent powder that sets makeup and leaves behind a silky finish to the touch. Infused with oil from Althea seeds, this powder works to keep sebum production at bay without drying out the skin for a radiant, fresh look, all while giving out a gentle scent.      The activity is very simple. I just have to spray water on the powder foundations and observe how foundation x, y, and z reacts to it.      As what I've said above, this was a swatchfest event. We were allowed to play with the entire line of their gorgeous makeups and let our creativity shine through swatching. I was intrigued with Pink Sugar's Sugar Tint Lip and Cheek Tints so they were the first ones that I swatched during the event. After this, I also swatched 5 shades from the HD and Creamy Matte Lipstick line. I've tried mostly pink shades.

Product Review: Essence Fix and Matte Translucent Loose Powder

     Happy Sunday dearies! I'm back with another review and this time let me share with you my favorite finishing powder as of the moment. As you all know I'm a late bloomer when it comes to makeup and this is my first time using a loose powder to seal the bb cream or liquid foundation on my face. Before I met this baby, I was using Majolica Majorca Skin Remaker Pore Cover as my finishing powder. I never thought that translucent loose powder acts more than a powder foundation. When I saw this brand from my fellow beauty bloggers, I asked them if a tub is worth the hype. Aya, one of my closest blogger friend said yes and without second thoughts I gave in. 

     I visited essence counter at Sm Fairview and grab myself a tub of this. The tub contains 15.5g of goodness that I'm still using up now. If my memory serves me right it's been a year since I bough this product. There's so many positive reviews about Essence Fix and Matte Translucent Loose Powder here and abroad so If you're a makeup addict, I'm sure you've stumble upon them. Product Review: 4u2 dreamGirl Lovelight BB Powder SPF 15 PA++

     My favorite powder foundation as of the moment will bid goodbye next month because I've already hit the pan :( As much as I wanted to repurchase a refill of Majolica Majorca Skin Remaker Pore Cover, methinks of looking for a cheaper alternative because I'm saving extra cash for my father's dialysis right now. So I guess it's somehow a perfect timing to try this bb powder that I saw months ago from fellow beauty blogger and friend Aya of Codename Aya. I asked her about the price and it's a Eureka moment when she told me that it's less than 200 pesos. I'm sure you've seen this cutie from beauty bloggers and most of them gave positive reviews about this product. I really wanted to get my hands on 4U2 dreamGirl Lovelight BB Powder the day I saw it from Aya but it's OOS. It's always OOS, meaning the prorduct really delivers! 

     So after months of waiting, I received a message from the SA at Sm Fairview where I made my reservation. After two weeks of using this bb powder, I can finally share my thoughts on how well this product performed on my combination skin. And oh before I forgot my technique of applying face powder is using a kabuki brush in a stippling motion. This method gives me a sheer coverage. I only use the sponge for my undereye area to set the concealer and prevent it from creasing.

• No breakouts or allergic reactions.
• Complete details with batch, manufacturing and expiry dates.
• Easily accessible since it's available locally.

What I don't like:

• Always OOS. The SA said that they only stock 3 pcs. per shade. 
• Shade no. 01 is a tad dark on my fair skin tone.

Will i repurchase? Yes after hitting the pan. 

Recommendation:

     I give this a 4.5/5 rating. Now I know why a lot of beauty bloggers are raving about this product and why it's always OOS. It's a great alternative to my HG powder foundation and very affordable too! I highly recommend :D It's worth every peso and for a cheapskate like me it's a real steal!

     O-M-G! It's end of season sale once again. I know it's crazy! I'm planning to lift my no buy mode (parang coding lang =P) hehehe! but here's my bipolar personality again. I would love to shop new clothes and shoes since the last time I bought a pair of flats was months ago. But I'm worried that I will regret buying those stuffs. It's weird, I know! I'm also confused what brand to buy. Most stylish items are on sale so this will make me go nuts! Even if I already made my shopping list that I restricted only to three items (THREE ONLY) I'm sure that I will ignore it most specially if the items that caught my eye is 70% off the tag. I'm an impulse buyer before. I hope I can resists the power of temptation. So before I go on bargain hunting later, I want to share this post so you know what to expect on my next reviews.

If you can still remember my post about being lucky on giveaways, well thanks to my lucky charm because I also won from other giveaways that I joined.      My sister-in-law gave me this new product from AVON to review. She said this new hair treatment is on a special introductory price that's why she wanted me to give it a try. The hair treatment costs 199php. It's a steal because the shampoo is free.

     This loot came from my sister. It's a way of saying thank you from asking a very important favor. She also saw this Tiny Buds baby powder at The Landmark baby section. At first I thought its for Kenzo but she told me to try it as finishing powder. When I read that it's made of real rice grains, I doubt it on keeping oilies at bay. But I have to road test it first, who knows this can be an HG material.

     I will end my post here dearies! My allergies are still there but not as itchy as day 1 and 2. I'm just worried that it will leave marks. I accidentally scratched them while sleeping :(  So to those who are going to spend their day shopping, take care and relax! Enjoy your day.

Product Review: 2017 UPDATE Majolica Majorca Skin Remaker Pore Cover in OC10

     Hi dearies! How's your weekend? I think I'm ready to say my raves and rant about this makeup that I got a month ago. I'm not using it every day because most of the time I stay at home. I only use bb cream when going outside, I just want light coverage with moisturizer and SPF on my face and that's what bb cream is supposed to be. So on special occasions and when I feel I want to look glam, I use to top off my bb cream with powder foundation.

     I want to share with you the powder foundations that I own before. I have used only two powder foundation and one pressed powder and that's Neutrogena Fine Fairness Powder, MAC Studio Fix Foundation Plus Powder and Garnier Light Visible Face Powder. I can say that MAC is my HG among the three. I never hit the pan of my studio fix and just got expired. Since I'm already a mom, money is very important for me. I need to save and budget the money that I get from my husband and buying high- end makeup is at the bottom of my list. But last December, my husband told me to buy the makeup that I'm lemming for a long time. This is the time when I convinced myself to buy this Majolica Majorca powder foundation after reading raves from blog and GT forums.
