Product Review: Vice Cosmetics Duo Finish Foundation

Thursday, April 11, 2019

"Ganda for all" means that no matter what gender, age, skin color and skin texture you have, you are beautiful! This is what Vice Cosmetics is all about- "Ganda for you, ganda for all". I've known Vice Cosmetic because of Vice Ganda, the co-owner of the brand and from beauty bloggers that I follow who made reviews about their products.

Vice Cosmetics first launched a lipstick line that's been a crowd favorite then followed by blush powders Early this month, another "pasabog" hit the makeup industry when they introduced their duo finish foundation with a tagline #GandangYouNaYou. I was invited to the unveiling of this promising face powder last week where we swatched and tried it on the spot to prove their claims. Sharing my thoughts on the Vice Cosmetic Duo Finish Foundation and a short review below.

Vice Cosmetics Duo Finish Foundation in Shade ni Vice, Moreyna, So Pinay!, and Flawlesa

Here are the 8 shade swatches from Vice Cosmetics website. My MAC Shade is NC15-20 for your reference. I'm Tisay and Chesa. Tisay is for fair with neutral/yellow undertone shade. It's best for those with pale yellow skin tone. Chesa is for fair with golden beige undertone or those who have a fair/pinkish tone.

Vice Cosmetics Duo Finish Foundation in Tisay and Chesa. You can see from this comparison that Tisay is more yellow than Chesa but both are for fair skin.

Product Review: Vice Cosmetics Duo Finish Foundation
Vice Cosmetics Duo Finish Foundation Tisay on my face. You can see that it blurs the pores on my cheeks but there are parts on my face that have a slight blur. I have larger pores on the sides of my nose and you can still see it on this photo.

What I like:
  • The price is cheap.
  • Housed in a sleek plastic compact case that is sturdy. I love that case has a separate compartment for the sponge. I also noticed that it has holes underneath. The purpose of this is for the wet sponge to air dry after using it.
  • The shade matches my skin tone perfectly. I can use Tisay or Chesa alternately.
  • Gives a smooth and flawless finish especially on photos. It has a real blurring effect.
  • Does not cake on me.
  • Lasted for 8 hours when applied dry and no retouching in between.
  • Has SPF 25.
  • No weird smell.
  • Has a light to medium coverage.
  • Has manufacturing date on the packaging so I know when this will expire.
  • No allergies, breakouts or whatsoever.

What I don't like:
  • I wish they come up with a refill.
  • It oxidizes after 8 hours of wear.

Will I repurchase? Yes!

I give this a 4.75/5 rating. This is the most affordable and cheapest dupe next to my Majolica Majorca Skin Remaker Pore Cover. I love that it is cruelty-free, paraben-free, and vegan. It has a wide shade range that is perfect for all Filipina skin tone. I'm surprised by the blurring effect. I used my Fujifilm X-A2 to take the photo and yes, it blurs some parts of my face especially where I have large pores. I'm careful in posting photos of powders with blurring effect because I was bashed before after posting a photo that has a blurred part.

All in all, this duo finish powder is promising and highly recommended to students and those who have a tight budget. If you're also interested or into eco-friendly makeup, this one is for you!

  1. Wow momshie mahilig akosa foundation gustoko dinito matry 😍👍 affordable pa

  2. wow tumatak talaga sakin yun no white effect when taking photo, very perffect sa morenang gaya what i love most is when i read ita cruelty free.

  3. Ang dami niyang variant ms. Kath copare sa ibang brand 3 or 2 ang pagpipilian na kulay, at ang lagayan niya super cute color pink pa.. Gusto ko din yan.. At higit sa lahat affordable pa.

  4. I so love that they were able to launch many different colors. Unlike other foundation products that is more when it comes to grams. You can't say that it's lesser because of the good product content and quality that it has. I so love the Kinesa shade it blends well with my skin. And I love it also because it doesn't have any smell. Nice review
