     Avon goes orange to spark conversations on violence against women and girls from November 25- December 10, 2019.  Avon strongly advocates for women to #SpeakOutListenUp. On1y Avon has donated $65M to fight violence against women and girls (VAWG) all over the world and supports 4 women-centered NGOs in the Philippines through annual donations.

     Avon Philippines is rallying behind the UN Women's 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence by launching the #SpeakOutListenUp campaign and encourage victims and survivors to speak out and share their stories and urge everyone to listen up.

     Did you know that 1 in 3 Filipinas will develop breast cancer in her lifetime? My grandmother is a cancer survivor and I have two relatives now who was diagnose with stage 1 cancer last year but they are cancer-free now. 

     Breast cancer remains one of the top causes of death among Filipinas. The Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society also reported in February 2017 that the Philippines has the highest prevalence of breast cancer among 197 countries that's why the need to educate women on the importance of early detection as the best way to beat the disease is as urgent as ever.

     "Spread your wings and prepare to fly, for you have become a butterfly". Mariah Carey's song "Butterfly" is all about freedom and every woman deserves to live freely yet many face the realities of abuse. AVON is continuing its mission to help end violence against women and girls with its latest addition to the Free as a Butterfly collection, a special butterfly watch.

     I support this advocacy of AVON. Violence against women and children is a big NO. In line with the company for women's #Stand4Her campaign, the watch raises funds to help female victims of abuse. As an advocate for women's freedom to live a safe and healthy life, AVON is taking concrete measures to address the issue of abuse, which continues to hold many women back from achieving their full potential.

     Violence against women is a big NO NO that's why when I see receive campaign advocacies to raise awareness, I will share it to all the women asap. In time for Women's Month, Avon Philippines renews the promise to help end gender-based violence  and introduces fundraising product to support partner NGOs

     Violence continues to affect millions of women around the world – we have witnessed it, and some of us may even have experienced it.
