     Some of my friends asked me if I have the so-called batter scars around my abdomen, and my answer was a resounding yes. Even though I splattered anti- stretchmarks lotions and creams on my belly area religiously when I was pregnant six years ago, I still have them and it's really obvious.      Hi dearies! I'm excited to reveal the latest whitening soap that I'm using as of the moment. I've been using this face and body bar for more than a month now. For my long time readers, you know me already when it comes to product reviews. I make sure that I use a whitening product for at least three to four weeks before sharing my experience. For the nth time, I have fair skin but it's uneven and I guess lacks nutrition. The soap is wrapped in a special Japanese paper. You can see the engraved brand name and logo of the soap once you open the wrapper.

What I like:

• It's made of organic ingredients.
• Japonesa Face and Body Bar is infused with lactoferrin and probiotics, first in the organic whitening soap department. 
• It's a lightening, anti-aging face and body bar that's also great for sensitive skin.
• The scent- smells so DIVINE! It's so luxurious, first time to try a soap that smells like vanilla. 
• The packaging is attractive and has a luxurious feel because of the engraved logo.
• Aside from the box packaging, the soap inside the box is wrapped in Japanese paper.
• The soap produces a very rich creamy lather.
• I don't need to worry if I left the soap in my soap dish despite the hot weather. Even if this is hand made, no signs of melting happened. I was able to use the bar until the very last shape. It's amazing how it can withstand the weather.
• The price- if I'll do the math it's affordable as one bar will really last more than a month with daily use.  
• It's multi-purpose- can be used from head to toe. Face and body bar, shampoo for hair and scalp, and feminine wash too.
• My skin feels soft and velvety smooth after every wash. 
• It maintained my skin tone despite the hot weather.
• Made my skin glowing and bright.
• Exfoliates really well! I can see dead skin big time every time I scrub my body.
• Japonesa Face and Body Bar is available in two sizes: 120 g and 70 g. I can say that the later is great for travelling. No need to bring bulky soap with you when you go on a trip.
• Made some dark spots and blemishes caused by pimples appear lighter after a month of everyday use. 
• Though I'm not sure on the anti-aging effect, I noticed that my skin became supple. I thought I'm getting dark but there's this "namumula" (rosy/healthy tinge) on my skin.
• Complete batch, manufacturing and expiry date printed on the box.

What I don't like:

• Not easily accessible. It's available at UNIMART Greenhills and in their physical store only as of the moment.

Will I repurchase? YES, definitely! This soap is back-up worthy.

Recommendation:

     I give this soap a 5/5 rating. Another organic soap that I'll include on my top list, another holy grail material as I'm very much impressed on the performance.  I have very sensitive skin that's prone to redness and irritation. I'm glad that no negative reactions arise on my skin from the very first use. I highly recommend this Japonesa Face and Body Bar if you like to have healthy-white and young skin.  Japonesa Face and Body Bar is proud to be an organic and all natural Pinoy brand! What made me highly recommend this is the scent as it lingers more than 6 hours on my skin even if I sweat. No need to spray your perfume, you'll be addicted sniffing your skin! 

     When I was in the dialysis center a while ago, my father asked me why I'm sniffing my arms over and over again. I said that I used LUX Magical Spell and it's a skin perfume. He got curious and will let him try just to make him believe that it's the LUX Fine Fragrance soap that gave my skin a luscious smell.

     When in doubt will you still say YES? Do you have the guts to say YES to a new skin care product because it promises more than what you're expecting? To tell you honestly, I've been skipping a few brands of skin care products in the display shelves because I think they don't work. I'm so picky when it comes to whitening lotions because for me fair skin is more than just the white complexion. Fair and flawless skin should be healthy and nourished. It must be protected from pollutants and damaging sun rays. So for me a whitening lotion must have the right amount of spf plus added skin beautifying ingredients.

I presume you know that feeling- achieving what you have planned for so long but suddenly you lose hope because something is bringing you down. This also can happen in the products that we're using. Like for example in whitening lotion. Yes, I love using whitening lotion but I fear of basking under the sun and doing simple things like biking or playing with my son because I fear of getting dark.      I've been using Silka Premium Whitening Lotion in Papaya with Milk and Honey for more than two weeks now and I can say I had a wonderful experience using the product. I underestimated Silka's power before. My sister-in-law swears by Silka and now I believe in her statements. To tell you honestly, two weeks is so short to gauge Silka's whitening effect on my fair skin. I guess using this religiously will give me better results in the whitening department. But if you have morena skin tone, using this everyday, twice a day for a month will give you noticeable results.

It has a thick consistency

What I like:

• The price- pretty affordable because a 200 ml is less than Php 200.
• The scent- I'm surprised that it doesn't smell like baby powder. There's a mild but refreshing scent.
• It has a thick consistency but it's so easy to spread and apply.
• Once applied, the lotion is absorbed easily.
• It is very light and non- greasy.
• Moisturizes my skin feels instantly.
• It makes my skin soft and smooth to touch after application.
• It gives instant glow on skin after application.
• It contains a good amount of sun protection- SPF30 to be exact.
• It didn't gave me further irritation or allergies or whatsoever even though I've been using this lotion during the time I suffered from seafood related skin allergies.
• Batch, manufacturing and expiry date printed on the bottle.
• Available in 3 sizes: 50 ml, 100 ml, and 200 ml
• Easily accessible.

What I don't like:

• I didn't notice a fairer skin since since I'm already fair to begin with. 

Will I repurchase? Yes, it's in the realm of possibility.

Recommendation:

     I give this a 4.5/5 rating. Even though there is no significant change in my skin tone, this lotion is promising. Aside from the whitening department, we also need to consider the amount of spf and skin beautifying factors in a lotion. This also contains skin vitamins like milk, honey, and vitamin e so not bad for a very affordable lotion. I also like the scent and it's a plus for me. I have tried several brands of whitening lotion in the market that has the same effects in my skin like Silka but this one trumps in terms of scent and price.

     Overall, I highly recommend Silka Premium Whitening Lotion if you're looking for a non-greasy lotion that has a decent or should I say good amount of spf perfect for everyday use. But if you'll be staying for long hours in the sun, you still need to use a separate sunscreen for added protection.
