It's already a drill, every October of the year, eye makeup products will be sale up to 50% off the entire month! Product Review: Tony Moly Party Lover Coloring BrowCara

Tuesday, January 27, 2015

Hi dearies, I'm so excited to share with you another fave product from Tony Moly. I presume not all of  you have tried this genius brow product invented to date. For someone who is so fond of taking good care of their eyebrows, this product is a must. When I saw this product from top beauty bloggers' haul post, I said to myself that I have to check the product out. A mascara for eyebrows, cool beans!

When I saw and swatch the product at Tony Moly SM Fairview, my first impression was 'easy and accessible product  to brow dye at home'. Because I always color my hair light, I need a brow product that is 1 shade darker than my hair color.  So I chose Tony Moly Party Lover Coloring BrowCara in 02 Gray Brown to compliment my light ash blonde hair. About the brow dye thing-y, don't worry it's just my term. It's not a real brow dye because it easily comes off with a makeup remover. This brow mascara looks natural on my brows, really! Enough of the blabber, here's the review of ony Moly Party Lover Coloring BrowCara in 02 Gray Brown. Click CONTINUE READING for more information :)

Product Review: Artist Studio Angled Eyeliner Brush

Tuesday, January 06, 2015

Until now, I only have 3 brushes that I use in applying my makeup: Generic Retractable Kabuki Brush, Artist Studio Angled Flat Top Brush and Artist Studio Angled Eyeliner/Eyebrow Powder Brush. Artist Studio is a generic brand of makeup brushes that's el cheapo for their price. Since most of the Artist Studio brushes are synthetic, they're more economical and have longer life span than makeup brushes made of animal hair. I've been using these brushes for over a year now. The performance is still the same and there are no signs of wear and tear after washing them over and over again.

Today, I'll be reviewing the Artist Studio Angled Eyeliner/Eyebrow Powder Brush that I use in applying my brow makeup. I'm using an eyeliner pencil so I still haven't tried it with gel or cake eyeliners. Anyhoo, to see more photos of this wonderful tool and my thoughts about the product kindly click CONTINUE READING please :)

Product Review: BYS Brow and Eye Pencil in Brown

Friday, August 09, 2013

Hi dearies! I hope ya'll enjoy this long weekend. To my Muslim readers, Happy Eid al Fitr! Here's a review of my current favorite brow product. I got this months ago together with the BYS Automatic Eyelining Pencil in my so called good impulse buy post. Since I already tried using eyebrow powder, eyebrow gel, and eyebrow tattoo pencil to prettify my brows, why not try another type of product like the brow pencil. This one doesn't need any sharpening!

If you still remember my older posts about eyebrow products, I always mention that beautifully groomed brows makes our face pretty or something like that. Having groomed brows makes a big difference on your total look. Even if you do not wear makeup or use mininal makeup everyday and you have a neat looking brows, everything will fall into place. You'll look polished by adding a swipe of lipstick, add some mascara and eyeliner then I'm sure you're good to go!

That's why I never think twice buying this product because I know that it will be useful especially for me who have thin scattered brow hairs. If I'm not going to use a good product on my eyebrows, I'm sure that I will always look washed out in photos, seeing a Mona Lisa in me. Haha! Since I've already used this product for months now and by looking at my past photos, I can say that BYS Brow and Eye Pencil is one of my highly recommended eyebrow makeup. Product Review: Tony Moly 7DAYS Tatoo Eyebrow 01 in Natural Brown

Sunday, January 27, 2013

Having groomed brows can make a big difference on our facial features. Can you imagine how you'll look like if you don't have brows like Mona Lisa? I know you're laughing and I aslo can't imagine how I'll look like. What about those girls with spare and non-existent brows? Do you feel ashamed of it when you look at the mirror first thing in the morning after waking up? Ask me, yes I do! If I have thin and sparse lashes, I also have thin, high and non-existent eyebrows! Thank goodness for the wonders of eyebrow kit, eyebrow gels and powders because they've given life to my weird eyelids and dull face.

But as years gone by, product innovations are sprouting like mushrooms. Makeup these days are far and way way better than in my college years 12 years ago. So back to eyebrows, last year eyebrow mascaras and tattoos became one of the highlights in the eye makeup industry specifically for eyebrows. I've seen these babies in magazines and most beauty bloggers made a review of these eyebrow wonders on their blogs. I'm not going to make a comparison with their review because for me, those eyebrow thing-y were high-end ones and a cheapskate like me can only afford this one. Let me introduce to you this eyebrow tattoo from Tony Moly. It's not a permanent tattoo, it's like your ordinary eyebrow gel/liner but it can last more than 2 or 3 days in some reviews that I've read and 4 days at least for me even if I wash my face and go swimming. Here it is, my honest to goodness review of the product. Click CONTINUE READING and smile :D

Tony Moly 7DAYS Tatoo Eyebrow 01 in Natural Brown
Eyebrows take important place in determining an impression of one’s face. Women always cover their face with makeup and draw beautiful eyebrows on their thin and ugly eyebrows to look neat and clean. However, when makeup is erased, what are you going to do with that half eyebrow or ‘Mona Lisa’s’ eyebrow? ’7 Days Tattoo Eyebrow’ will solve this problem for you. Be an eyebrow beauty by tattoo type eyebrow that you can easily draw without pain and it lasts for a week.

Love this pen type tattoo,  sleek and classy.

Very fine tip, you can see some "ink" on the lower portion of the tip because I always store it upside down so that it will not dry up easily.

Ze brows , I always want it to be in shape but it really looks like it's not existing :(

Taken at the same time of the day starting from the 1st day up to the 4th day. It's also taken at the same place so that you can see the difference day after day. You can see that it fades everyday but only portions of my eyebrows became uneven. On the 3rd day and 4th day the uneven tattoo is obviously seen. Take note that I wash my face day and night using my facial soap and followed by my skin care routine. I also use makeup remover wipes and Eskinol but I try to avoid my eyebrows so that it will not wear off easily.
*please excuse the eyebags and discolored eyelids, photos taken after waking up*
What I like:
  • Affordable, less than 500php and IMO can be compared to K-palette.
  • Natural Brown 01 matched my medium blonde, medium ash brown hair pretty well.
  • The color stays the same after taking a bath and washing my face with soap and using facial scrub. FYI, I always leave the soap's lather on my face for 2 minutes.
  • No irritations, rashes or whatsoever on my brow bone and in my forehead.
  • Easy peasy application.
  • Classic and sleek design and packaging.
  • Emergency and life saver if you put this at night and then there's an emergency the next day or you need to wake up very early and you're in a hurry, you can skip your brows because it's already fixed :)
What I don't like:
  • Does not stay for 7 days but 4 days is long enough to give my non-existent brows the amp it needed.
Will I repurchase? Definitely Yes! This product needs a back up :)

Recommendation:

I give this a 4.75/5 rating. I love this product and the moment I used it on my brows, I completely forgot to use my E.L.F. Eyebrow Kit. I still use that eyebrow kit for touch-ups or when I want my eyebrows more picture perfect. It saves time and effort since I only need to use a spoilie to arrange my eyebrows in place then I'm good to go. I always make sure to apply this at night after doing all my skin care routine so that when I wake up the next day, the product (ink) really sinks in my eyebrows. Definitely a must try! Whoever invented this is a genius :P

Have you tried this awesome product from Tony Moly? Is it a Yay or a Nyay? Have a blessed Sunday guys!

Good Times!~

What's in my Kikay Kit

Tuesday, August 07, 2012

Hi dearies! How's everyone lately? It's been raining all day and night. I hope and I pray for our safety. Even though I'm rarely watching news about current events, I still feel there are families who suffers from the calamities bought by these typhoons and heavy rains.
Anyhoo, I noticed that I haven't posted anything about my recent makeup stash. The last one I think was the Eye Makeup Essential post. To tell you honestly, I rarely wear makeup these days. I feel more comfortable with my skin now and I think I really need to feel comfortable with it. Makeup only enhances my features and I don't want to wear makeup just because I want to hide my flaws. But there were times that I cannot control my breakouts. It's really hormonal and our humid weather also adds a factor to it. So when my skin is acting up, I feel uncomfortable with it. I feel the need to add a heavy duty concealer for pimple marks and a full coverage bb cream. I mentioned before that I'm a late bloomer when it comes to makeup and it really shows with my makeup stash. From the time that I started lurking in forums and here in blogosphere to read and compare reviews, these were the only thing that I purchased and accumulated. Most of the products here are my HG.
I only have one makeup/ kikay kit :D I don't bring this with me when I'm going to attend events or outside the house for some errands. This always sits in my closet and I'll just bring two things with me (lip balm and lip cream) and place it inside my bag.
Silver Pouch from Watson's

2. Majolica Majorca jeweling eye pencil- used once

My makeup must haves: BB cream and/or Powder Foundation+ Undereye concealer+Eyeliner+eyebrow powder+ mascara and I'm good to go. If I feel like I want to glam up my face, I'll add the blush and the jeweling eyeliner. For the lips, I just swipe some lip balm: Carmex, EOS or Human Heart Nature and/or my favorite N.Y.X Addis Ababa soft matte lip cream for a touch of color.

Basically that's it loves. So what's inside your makeup kit? Share it away guys :D

  Good Times!~

Product Review: E.L.F. Eyebrow Kit in Light

Thursday, June 07, 2012

Hi lovelies! Have you joined my first giveaway yet? I'm giving a tub of Glysolid Glycerin Cream and other skin care stuffs. I swear by Glysolid, you can read my post HERE.

If there's one thing I considered makeup during my college days, it's the eyebrow pencil. Yes, I only use eyebrow pencil, lip balm and pressed powder on my teen years. I'm a late bloomer when it comes to the real makeup as what I call it (foundation, eyeliner, lipstick, mascara and so on). I just started using those I mentioned above when I got married 2 years ago that's why when relatives and friends see my latest photo they tell me you look like you doesn't have a 3 year old child. I also realized that I'm becoming more conscious of what I look now unlike before. All I can say is I love my life now. I'm happily married to my wonderful hubby and I always wanted to look attractive to him. I also noticed that when you have positive aura even without makeup, glowing and healthy skin shows.

Anyhoo, since I mentioned the eyebrow pencil thing-y a while ago, I wanted to share what keeps my almost non-existent eyebrow in shape. I discovered eyebrow powder, gel and mascara from beauty bloggers and after reading their reviews I'm a convert now. Since that day, I started my hunt for a cheap eyebrow powder that will match my colored hair. I'm glad that I've found E.L.F. Studio Brow Kit. I'm hesitant at first. I'm afraid that I'll overdo my brows if I'll use the wax and powder combination but oh ma, I'm totally wrong. Read on to see what I'm talking about :)
