Product Review: Artist Studio Angled Eyeliner Brush

Tuesday, January 06, 2015

Until now, I only have 3 brushes that I use in applying my makeup: Generic Retractable Kabuki Brush, Artist Studio Angled Flat Top Brush and Artist Studio Angled Eyeliner/Eyebrow Powder Brush. Artist Studio is a generic brand of makeup brushes that's el cheapo for their price. Since most of the Artist Studio brushes are synthetic, they're more economical and have longer life span than makeup brushes made of animal hair. I've been using these brushes for over a year now. The performance is still the same and there are no signs of wear and tear after washing them over and over again.

Today, I'll be reviewing the Artist Studio Angled Eyeliner/Eyebrow Powder Brush that I use in applying my brow makeup. I'm using an eyeliner pencil so I still haven't tried it with gel or cake eyeliners. Anyhoo, to see more photos of this wonderful tool and my thoughts about the product kindly click CONTINUE READING please :)

I've been using this brush for more than a year now. Since I got hold of this makeup tool, I forgot that I have a brow mascara and brow liner. Hahaha! I use this brush for applying my In 2 It brow powder.

What I like:
  • The price- cheap!
  • Easily accessible.
  • It's easy to clean.
  • No shedding of bristles during and after cleaning it.
  • Takes a little time to dry.
  • Since this is synthetic, the brush doesn't have funky or weird smell.
  • The bristles are stiff enough to draw an outline before I fill in my brows.
  • This brush can be used for gel and cake liners too.
  • Even though the bristles are stiff, I can still use it to fill in my brows.
  • Picks up the right amount of eyebrow powder every application.
What I don't like:
  • The packaging lacks manufacturing details.
  • Sometimes I find the handle too long if I'm lining my left eyebrows.
Will I repurchase: Yes! It's in the realm of possibility.

I give this brush a 4.75/5 rating. The quality is good. The price is cheap. This makeup brush is a great investment for beginners. I wish the handle is a little shorter so that it will be easier for me to use it on my left eyebrows.

Any thoughts on Artist Studio Brushes? If you own one, two or a set, what's your favorite?
