Product Review: Mischka Derma Secret Milky White Soap

Friday, December 19, 2014

Hi dearies! I think everyone is soo excited for Christmas and busy with parties and gatherings. I just want to squeeze in this review that's been sitting my blog dashboard for weeks now. Mischka Derma Secret sent me 3 bars of their milky white soap. If my memory serves me right, this is my first time reviewing a whitening soap that is goat's milk and glutathione combined. Before I forgot, goat's milk is also considered one of the effective whitening soap variant for sensitive skin.

I presume you already know that some celebrities immerse themselves in a tub of milk. I can still recall that in one of the pages from my history book says that one of Cleopatra's beauty secret was milk bath. It's so luxurious, right? Good thing there are variant of soaps that contains goat's milk and glad to know that Mischka Derma Secret formulated this soap in combination with glutathione. So without further ado, here's my honest to goodness review of Mischka Derma Secret Milky White Soap after finishing a bar in 4 weeks. Click CONTINUE READING now!

Feature: Skin Beautanicals by Jianne Skin Essentials

Saturday, December 13, 2014

Hi dearies! My apologies for being MIA (missing in action) :( Internet connection is acting up for the fast few days hence I wasn't able to update you with product features and reviews plus another giveaway that I've promised last week. Anyhoo, I received a new batch of organic skin care products from Skin Beautanicals by Jianne Skin Essentials. When the products came in our doorsteps, I was surprised to see a new variant of soap that I'll be road testing in the coming weeks. This is the snail filtrate repairing soap. Snail slime or mucus had been the talk of the town last year and early this year for its healing properties. If my memory serves me right, I've seen tv and magazine features about skin care products containing this 'miracle' ingredient from the snail. According to what I've heard, the slime/mucus/filtrate has healing and repairing properties for problematic skin.

The brands that I saw carrying a snail line are mostly Korean brands. I think they're the ones who first introduced the snail mucus or slime as an anti-aging and repairing agent in the world of skin care. That's why I was intrigued when I saw Skin Beautanicals Snail Filtrate Soap, the first organic soap with snail filtrate that I'll be trying to date. Of course not only the snail soap that made me giddy to road test their products because Ms. Roxanne of Jianne Skin Essentials also included their organic arbutin with argan oil soap and arbutin lotion for me to try. But first let me share with you information about these products so click CONTINUE READING and find out :)

Product Review: Glupa Glutathione+Papaya Soap

Thursday, December 04, 2014

I've tried a lot of whitening soaps sold in the market today. If you're a lurker in this blog, prolly you know that I've switched to organic soaps for the sake of my sensitive skin. I'm fair already, to begin with, whitening soaps either lighten skin blemishes that I get from pimple marks, insect bites or minor wounds like paper cut or from unconsciously scratching my skin while sleeping. I use whitening soap to maintain or even out my skin tone because there are times that I'm always out running errands in the afternoon. A change in a tone like one shade lighter is a bonus for me and it only means that the soap is very effective. For reference, I'm NC 15-20 in MAC.

Anyhoo, I was invited by Age Defy Solutions the makers of Glupa products to an intimate gathering of beauty bloggers months ago. They gave us full-sized samples of their skin care products to try. The first product that I'm giddy to road test was the Glupa soap. I got intrigued with this whitening soap because the endorser is Boy Abunda. It is also a whitening soap that contains a powerful combination of glutathione and papaya. After a month of using the soap, here's my honest to goodness review of Glupa (Glutathione + Papaya) soap. Click CONTINUE READING and find out my experience.

Monday, November 10, 2014

Having fair skin from face to body is still a desire amongst many Filipinas. Younger females will do anything just to achieve skin that is fairer than their current state. A whitening soap is a starting point for women in their journey to whiter skin. There are so many whitening bar soaps products available these days, and some that might even come with other unwanted effects such as rough and patchy skin, or tingling / burning sensation. But, natural and healthy fairness is not just about the tone of your skin. You also need to have skin that’s smooth and even toned.

I've tried so many whitening soap and each has its own characteristics. But the most effective variants of whitening soap in the market are those containing papaya extract and vitamin c to name a few. I'm happy that one of the trusted brand in skin care came up with their own whitening body bars that promises not only whiter skin but healthy and glowing too!

Product Review: Mischka Derma Secret Calamansi with Honey Soap

Tuesday, November 04, 2014

Hi all! I still have pending soap reviews and I want to make sure that I give my 100% percent experience before saying my thoughts. Mischka Derma Secret sent me their Calamansi with Honey Soap not for a review but for me to just try. The owner of Mischka Derma Secret is so generous and kind that she wanted me to try their products and just share a feedback if I like it or not. Since I like most of their soaps, I think that it deserves a space on my blog :)

One of my favorite soap from the brand is their Calamansi with honey soap. It's another whitening soap that contains only few ingredients but I'm not after the whitening effect of the soap because I'm more on the glow and moisturizing part now because my skin tends to get dry on colder months. I'm so happy to say that Mischka Derma Secret Calamansi soap made my skin glowing and healthy looking. To know more about the soap, click CONTINUE READING please :)

Feature: Glupa (Glutathione + Papaya) Skin Whitening System

Monday, October 13, 2014

Skin whitening is very popular nowadays here in our country. Based on my observation while doing our grocery shopping, women including men spend more than 10 minutes scrutinizing the list of whitening ingredients in their chosen soap brand/s. Glutathione is the most sought after skin lightening ingredient in the market today. Some manufacturers produce glutathione alone or combine other whitening ingredients that will boost the effect of skin whitening. Have you seen or heard the brand Glupa? To those who've seen the commercial I'm sure you're puzzled why the endorser is Boy Abunda.

Did you know that Glupa is the first whitening product to get an endorser that is not fair skinned? Yes, yes, yes! I'm sure you already know that endorser and was intrigued more about the product he's endorsing.

Glupa, is a breakthrough combination of Glutathione and Papaya that gives you twice the whitening power and twice the Glutathione content. It also provides the proper nutrients needed to promote the body's own ability to manufacture and utilize glutathione

Glutathione + Papaya makes the best protection against oxidative stress in cells, thus, strengthening our natural defenses, markedly decreasing our risk of getting sick, increasing the body's ability to utilize whole food antioxidants, while guarding against the effects of free radicals on the body's aging process. Product Review: Mischka Derma Secret Kojic with Placenta Soap

Tuesday, August 26, 2014

Being a soap junkie, I'm always on the lookout for new variants of soap available in the market today be it commercially produced or handmade ones. As of the moment, I still have four different kinds of soap for review. I'm very excited to use them all because it contains mostly natural ingredients that promises to make the skin smooth, young and glowing.

If you're a fan of whitening soaps, I'm sure you already know kojic acid. It is one of the most famous/effective whitening ingredient in the market today together with glutathione, alpha arbutin and placenta. I've made several reviews of whitening soaps with kojic acid before and I find this variant effective depending on the length of usage. Kojic acid soap can be drying that's why some brands combine it with other moisturizing ingredients that will combat dryness. One combination that I can say will give less dryness to the skin is kojic placenta. Placenta is known to be an anti-aging ingredient and makes the skin smooth and glowing. Our friends from Mishcka Derma Secret sent me their Kojic with Placenta soap two months ago. I just finished using this bar last week and now I'm ready to share my thoughts about this combination. Click CONTINUE READING to find out.

Product Review: Snow Skin Whitening Soap

Sunday, August 03, 2014

Not all soaps are created equal. I'm not sure how many whitening soaps I've already tried but I'm always sure that promising and effective soaps will always be a mainstay in my bath essentials. There are so many whitening soaps in the market today, I'm sure you're confused which one to choose. But if you're the curious and adventurous type, prolly you already know the most effective ingredients that a whitening soap contains. There's a new player in town, Snow Skin Whitening Soap from the makers of Snowcaps L-Glutathione Whitening Supplement. This soap is not the usual glutathione, alpha arbutin, and kojic acid combination that's known to be the most popular whitening actives in the market today. It contains 7 Plant Extracts from Swiss Alps that will ensure a radiant clear complexion and younger looking skin.

When I received this soap months ago from Vidanutriscience, I got curious after reading the information at the back of this flip top box. Even though it doesn't have the three powerful whitening ingredients in the market today, it has Gigawhite and anti-oxidant complex like Vitamin C, Aloe Vera, Vitamin E and Vitamin B3 together with the 7 Plant extracts. Exciting right? To know more about the soap click CONTINUE READING and find out if it's a yay or a nay. By the way, updating this post as this is also available at http://www.cheskasstore.net/ if you can't find in other stores.

Product Review: Natura Organics Himalayan Mud 21-in-1 Soap

Monday, July 21, 2014

If my memory serves me right, three years ago I had a hatred feeling against a certain black soap. It's not the black bleaching bar that I've tried from one of the famous brand of organic skin care products in our country today. Yes, it's a face and body soap that left a terrible effect on my face. The thing that irks me most is that it's organic. I have high expectations on that soap because before I get hold of it, I've seen positive reviews on their website and some beauty blogs. I really never expected that the "good" would turn so bad as in so so bad in my case.

So to end a long story short, after that experience I veered away from that brand. If you're adventurous with soaps I'm sure you can guess what kind of soap I'm saying here. I will not mention the brand, past is past and I've buried that sad experience. But today, I want to share a good news  :) I never thought that my fear of using a black-colored soap with ingredients that I'm not familiar with will turn into a delight. I think I want to rejoice because I've tried a black soap that didn't burn my face (this was the terrible effect that I have mentioned above) and made my skin healthy looking. Excited to find out why I'm raving a black soap today? Click CONTINUE READING to see my thoughts on Natura Organics Himalayan Mud 21-in-1 Soap :)
