Product Review: Tony Moly Kiss Kiss Lip Scrub

Sunday, January 18, 2015

Read my lips... dry, chapped and flaky! Blame it to the cold weather baby. Raise your hands if you also feel the same :( But don't worry, a heavy duty lip balm will help lessen dryness  your lips and a moisturizing lipstick will give a lovely color to your lips sans fine lines and flakes. Aside from what I mentioned above, a gentle yet effective way to wash off dead skin around your lips is by using a lip scrub.

I've been suffering from dry and chapped lips since last month. I barely wear matte lipsticks these past few weeks. Good thing I have a lip scrub from Tony Moly that I got last October. How pretty the packaging right? To know more about Tony Moly Kiss Kiss Lip Scrub and my thoughts after using it for more than a month now, click CONTINUE READING dearies!

Product Review: iWhite Korea Aqua Moisturizing Cream

Saturday, April 13, 2013

Here's the continuation review of another iWhite Korea product that was sent to me by Biocostech Phils. Corp. Yes, it's the continuation because I've mentioned in my last post (iWhite Korea Whitening Pack) that this is a good moisturizer to use after the peeling. This water-based moisturizer is a great combination to the Whitening Pack because it delivers in moisturizing your face, making it soft and supple plus the cooling sensation it gives that can make a stressed skin very relax. I presume you already read positive reviews about this moisturizing cream from beauty bloggers weeks ago so here's my take on iWhite Korea Moisturizing Cream.

iWhite Korea is a skin care brand formulated in Korea that specializes not only in whitening the skin but also in improving its overall texture through the natural plant extracts in their products that are refined through Bio-Nanotechnology.

iWhite Korea Moisturizing Cream is a water-base moisturizer refined by Bio-Nanotechnology, making it more potent, giving a more radiant and fair complexion. It revitalizes and improves skin condition, protects skin against cellular damage and premature aging, maintains elasticity and firmness of the skin and leaves a cool and refreshing feeling. Ideal for all skin types :)

  • I love the gel like texture-very easy to apply, the consistency is great for my combination skin.

Recommendation:
I give this a 4.75/5 rating. This product does the job in moisturizing my face. I know some individuals with oily and combination skin veered away or tend to skip moisturizers because they think it will make them more oily. If you haven't found your moisturizer then try this water-based formula and I'm sure you'll gonna love this!

Product Review: iWhite Korea Whitening Pack

Tuesday, April 09, 2013

Hi dearies! I'm happy and excited to announce that I've added another product to my skin care regimen. Since I need to be extra vigilant in taking care of my skin during summer where I experience breakouts here and there, the need to add an extra boosts to my cleanse-tone-moisturize routine is a must.

I've known iWhite Korea way, way back and the first product that I've tried from this skin care brand was their coffee scrub but it's already phased out. Boo! I love that scrub because it's effective in making dull skin bright and the beads were helpful in removing deep seated dirt on my face. So when Ms. Kim of iWhite Korea sent me this Whitening Pack for review, I never think twice. I'm so giddy to try it because the product looks very promising. While reading the list of main ingredients I was surprised that it contains mostly natural extracts that's proven to help and minimize skin impurities. After using the product 4 times a week for 2 weeks now I saw immediate and great results. Wanna know why you should try this Whitening Pack? Click READ ON to find out and see photos below, you'll be amazed with the results :)

And this is how I do it, please prepare yourself for Halloween! Nah, just kidding XD. While the Whitening Pack is on my face, I keep myself busy for 15-20 minutes like blog hopping or refraining my face to do different expressions as this may break the mask. I usually do this ritual before I go to sleep. There's a difference before and after using this Whitening Pack and when I wake up, soft, smooth and glowing skin- TRUE THAT! Click photos to enlarge ^_^

L- Freshly Applied Mask R- After 15 minutes
iWhite Korea Whitening Pack
After peeling the mask off- if you placed an ample amount of the product on your face, it will be easier to remove and it will not be messy at all.
iWhite Korea Whitening Pack
My skin is not perfect and flawless, it's dull and a bit oily, with freckles and dark spots too. Whew! but this peel off mask made it glowing and fresh minus the eyebags.

What I like:
  • The price- very affordable.
  • The scent is not over powering. Doesn't have a weird or funky smell. There's a hint of minty scent whenever I apply this on my face.
  • I love the cooling sensation it gives. It's very relaxing while waiting for it to dry up.
  • I can feel dirt and dead skin cells coming off my face. This is the "tiis ganda" moment. It's a bit painful but this thing means it's effective in removing all the dirt in my face.
  • Even if I felt a bit of pain while peeling the mask off my face, there's no redness, irritation and whatsoever.
  • I saw immediate results after 15 minutes. My skin felt soft and smooth.
  • It's really effective in terms of brightening. I can see a glow after peeling the mask off.
  • Sealed with a foil, freshness guaranteed.
  • It's available in convenient sizes, a full-sized in tube (95g) and in sachet (22g).
  • Easily accessible.
  • There's a batch and manufacturing date printed on it.
What I don't like:
  • Messy application.
Will I repurchase? Yes! Planning to purchase back-ups for the whole family :)

Recommendation:
I give this a 5/5 rating. Oh, another perfect score means I really love the product. Another addition to my skin care addiction indeed. I recommend this to combination and oily skin. IMO, dry skinned individuals may find this mask very tight on the skin and they will have a painful experience peeling it off. But if you can tolerate it, then go as long as you can tolerate the pain and don't forget to use a very good moisturizer to refresh your skin after the stress from peeling. I recommend iWhite Korea Aqua Moisturizing Cream as your facial stress reliever after the peel, it's also effective to moisturize your skin.

Hello, hello! It's Monday again and I'm an early bird because my son's sleeping pattern has shifted meaning I'll be diurnal again. Weee! ^_^ I hope Kenzo's meme time will stay the same for the whole month so that I can attend Christmas parties without looking haggard and sleepless. So for now I'll muse my experience during the opening of Tony Moly store in Alabang Town Center. I know, I know! Product Review: Nature Republic Watery Sun Cream 30 PA++

Tuesday, June 26, 2012

Hello ladies, happy Monday! Start your week right by smiling and think of positive things coming your way :D Today I'm going to share an important addition to my skin care routine. I'm guilty of neglecting this ever since I became aware on the importance of basic skin care. I always skip sunblock. I have this notion before that sunblock is only used during summer and when you're going to the beach. I also have sensitive nose that I dislike the scent of most sunblock being sold in the market before. The only brand that I knew was Coppertone and Banana Boat. Silly me! The effects of UVA/UVB is now taking its toll on me. Tiny dark spots or freckles are visible on my cheeks. But I'm still lazy putting sunblock on my face. When bb creams came out, I'm relieved because it's all-in-one. Tinted moisturizer + sunblock + whitening + anti-aging, it's like a miracle in a bottle. So I rely on bb creams for sun protection.

When I read a post that spf on a bb cream is not enough to shield the skin from damaging sun rays, I decided to include sunblock on my skin care regimen. There's so many different brand of sunblock in the market today. The higher the spf, the better in shielding your skin from the damaging UV rays. My current sunblock contains only spf30 that I think is good for me since I'm always indoors. This sunblock is also a part of the birthday blog sale giveaway that I won so it's only half of the tube when I received it. I considered this as my first sunblock since I'm using this everyday :D

Nature Republic Watery Sun Cream 30 PA++
Simple packaging, tube type

Nature Republic Watery Sun Cream 30 PA++
I like this nozzle type because you can control the amount of product coming out of the tube.

Nature Republic Watery Sun Cream 30 PA++
This white cream has a medium like consistency. Swatch under different lightning

Nature Republic Watery Sun Cream 30 PA++
Blended on my hand, you can see there's a white cast. I had a hard time taking photo with flash on because it's too reflective.

What I like:
  • The scent is nice. It's not overpowering like Coppertone and Banana Boat.
  • A little goes a long way.
  • Water-proof.
  • Applies velvety smooth and has a bit of glittery effect that's not noticeable
  • Doesn't break me out, no allergic reactions whatsoever.
  • Doesn't make my skin oily.
What I don't like:
  • Has only spf 30. ( I searched the internet and saw that this variant has spf 50 too)
  • There' a white cast even though it has low spf content.
  • Since I bought it pre-loved, I don't know the product information.

Will I repurchase? No. I want to try western brands like Neutrogena and Nivea.

Recommendation:
I give this a 3/5 rating. I'm happy with this purchase at least I got to try a sunscreen on its own. Now is the time to hunt for my HG sunblock, since this is important to prevent aging skin and cancer I will consider buying even those expensive ones.

What's your favorite sunblock?Any recommendations? Thanks for sharing!

Good Times!~

No Buy Mode

Saturday, June 23, 2012

I'm on a no buy mode! After winning so many skin care and makeup products which I'm already road testing one by one now, my plan is to save the money that the hubby gave me to buy beauty stuffs. I told him that I'll keep the money and buy new shoes and clothes instead. He's very supportive and when he saw that I'm running out of shampoo, he just bought one. I also received this chiffon sleeveless top from him. The IOPE retinol cream and AVON Advance Techniques came from my sister's stash. I went to our house last week and peeked into her drawer and I saw both. She told I can bring them home if I want. And tadaaa! Here it is :D
L-R: Clairol Herbal Essences Color Me Happy Shampoo, Black Chiffon Sleeveless Top, AVON Advance Techniques Anti-Frizz Serum, IOPE Retinol TX cream
That's all for now, I have plenty of product reviews on my drafts and I don't know which one to publish first. I'm using two new organic soaps so watch out for my review. Happy weekend everyone!

Good Times!~
