HG's Haulin'

Wednesday, March 28, 2012

I've been very busy last two weeks because my father underwent cataract operation and I'm the one responsible getting his laboratory results and cardio-pulmonary clearance. I'm also sleep deprived so my skin is acting up lately and I ran out some of my skin and hair care essentials that's why I need to replenish my stocks. So here's what I got from recent trips to Trinoma where I usually take MRT and purchased my haul.
That's it for now, I'll post my review on Color Me Happy soon. Been thinking of coloring my hair again because the roots are starting to show now. I'm torn between Kao Prettia in Chiffon Beige or Kao Prettia Platinum Beige. I want my hair really light this time bordering from light brown to blonde. Any suggestions? Thanks for sharing!

Good Times!

Haul: Bath Essentials plus Makeup Stuff

Thursday, November 17, 2011

Another haul after visiting Asian Eye Institute at TriNoma. It's crazy that all sales are everywhere! TriNoma is also having a sale of up to 70% till the end of the month. I want to congratulate my self for not spending too much yesterday. Mall sales can be tempting for a cheapskate like me and I have to stop myself from buying because I'm saving for something expensive.

Anyhoo, I bought 3 soaps from All Organics, a white eyeliner, a body scrub and a substitute for my facial wipes which is OOS again. My favorite facial wipes is Neutrogena. Since I ran out of my wipes, I have to purchase Nivea instead.

L-R: All Organics Calamansi Soap, Papaya with Glutathione Soap, A Bonne' Spa White C Salt,
Shawill Eyeliner and Nivea Visage Cleansing Wipes

I will be reviewing A Bonne' Spa White C Salt Scrub on my next post. This is my HG body scrub and been using it for more than a year now. I will also share my thoughts on Nivea facial wipes and Shawill eyeliner. I need to practice lining my waterlines before making a review on Shawill eyeliner.

What's your latest haul?Happy Wednesday everyone!

Good Times!~

Product Review: All Organics Bath Soap- Papaya with Glutathione

Thursday, October 20, 2011

I'm sure a lot of us wants to have fair, pinkish white smooth skin that's why whitening products are sold everywhere. From soaps, lotions, face creams, facial toners and the more expensive ones like whitening pills, injectables, etc, etc, name it and I'm sure one of us can recommend a brand or two.

Since high school days, I've seen different kinds of whitening soap from my mom's toiletries. The first whitening soap that I saw was Likas Papaya. I know everyone knows this soap. Many claimed of its effectiveness. I once use this soap and I can say it's effective. But as time pass by, papaya whitening soaps grew like mushrooms everywhere. I only can name a few brand and one that become staple in my bath essentials is the All Organics Papaya with Glutathione Bath Soap.

The brand sounds familiar, eh? Yes, it is my favorite brand of organic soap and I know it also deserves a review here. So let's start the review, shall we?

All Organics Papaya with Glutathione Bath Soap
gently whitens skin, aides and accelerates healing of skin disorders such as acne, eczema, and other skin disorders. Leaves skin younger looking.
All Organics Papaya with Glutathione Bath Soap
the soap is orange-y red in color unlike other papaya soaps that is yellow orange or orange in color
size: 100g

price: 70 php (Around $1.50+)

place bought: Sesou Natural Source TriNoma Quezon City
Herbal Garden Quezon City Circle
(in front of Philippine Coconut Authority)

instruction for use: use for face and body

ingredients: Saponified Oils, Papaya Extract, Glutathione, Vegetable Glycerine

All Organics Papaya with Glutathione Bath Soap
I always cut the soap into half so that it will not melt easily
What I like:
  • It's organic papaya with gluta soap.
  • Papaya with glutathione is a perfect combination in skin whitening.
  • It's mild, no dryness of skin after use unlike other whitening soaps.
  • My skin feels soft and smooth.
  • I can see a certain glow in my skin after taking a bath.
  • I love the smell, a bit sweet not overpowering.
  • It lightened my scars.
  • The expiration, batch and manufacturing date is printed on the label.
What I don't like:
  • Definitely none!
Will I repurchase? Yes! I always stock up on this in my bathroom.

Recommendation:
I give this soap a 5/5 rating. I highly recommend this soap to everyone. I can't think of any negative thing with this soap. I'm using this soap alternately with my calamansi soap and I love the effect on my skin. For maximum results, leave the soaps lather on skin for 3 minutes then rinse. Since it's organic, I always cut the soap into half so that it will not melt easily. Always remember that natural products can cause allergic reaction. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

What's your favorite brand of whitening soap?Share us your thoughts!

Good Times!~

Haul!

Wednesday, October 19, 2011

Last Friday, We went to TriNoma for my father's monthly eye check-up at Asian Eye Institute. As usual, we waited for more than two hours because there's only one doctor attending to every patient. I'm glad that his eye condition is much better now and only one surgery left. After his check-up, I asked him to go with me at Sesou Natural Source to buy my supply of organic soaps. So here's what I got: Singkamas (Turnip) Soap which I reviewed here, Papaya with Glutathione review to follow and Calamansi Soap which I also reviewed here.
Left to Right (clockwise): Singkamas (Turnip) Soap, Papaya with  Glutathione Soap and Calamansi Soap
When I arrived home, I also received a package from sis Aimee of bigtokyo, an ebay seller. This package consist of bb cream samples (not included in the picture), an eyeliner and a mini peeling gel.
Left: Baviphat Exfoliating Brightening Mini Peeling Gel
Rigth: N.Y.C. Liquid Eyeliner in Pearlized Black
I'm excited to make a review on Papaya with Glutathione Soap and the Baviphat Exfoliating Brightening Mini Peeling Gel. I will try to compare it to the Peeling Gel included in Purederm's Dual Wellbeing Pack.

That's all for now. Until my next review!

Product Review: All Organics Bath Soap- Tomato Lime

Saturday, October 08, 2011

All Organics Bath Soap- Tomato Lime
pic taken from allorganics.ph
Hello dearies! How's your day? It's been a while since I posted a review on organic soap. Now let me continue my review on another all organic bath soap.

Actually it's my second favorite soap from them. I always mention in my reviews that I'll include a soap in my tried and tested skin care products if I'm using it for more than a year.

There's a lot of soap in the market that promises pimple free and poreless skin. I doubt the poreless part because I've read a lot of articles that our pore size is determined by our genes so we cannot do anything to reduce its size but we can fake it by using makeups and skin care products. One of them is all organics bath soap in tomato and lime.

All Organics Bath Soap- Tomato Lime.
Contains tomatoes and lime for face and body. It is fabulous for balancing and maintaining moisture and pH levels while also tightening the pores.

All Organics Bath Soap- Tomato Lime
sorry for the blurry pic, took this using my phone. cut them into 3 sections,  1 part is already used

size:  100g
price: 70 php ( Around $ 1.50+ )

place bought: Sesou Nature Source TriNoma, Quezon City
Herbal Garden Quezon City Circle ( in front of Philippine Coconut Authority )

instruction for use: Use as face and body soap

ingredients: Saponified Virgin Coconut Oil, Tomato and Lime Extracts, Manila Elemi Oil, Fragrance

What I like:
  • The scent! Smells like cherries, a little sweet but not overpowering.
  • It makes my skin pimple free.
  • Really affordable because 1 bar lasts me for 3 months since I'm using this soap only on my face.
  • Tightens my face thus reducing the size of my pores.
  • Keeps the oil on my face at bay.
  • Batch, Manufacturing and Expiration date printed on the label so I'm sure it's fresh.
What I don't like:
  • I noticed that it melts faster than my other all organic bath soaps.
Will I repurchase? Definitely yes!
I can't remember how many bars I purchased since I started using this. All I know that 1 bar is good 4 atleast 3 months on my face.

Recommendation:
I give this soap a 5/5 rating. I love this soap and been using for more than a year now. I recommend this to oily, combination and blemished skin types because it can also lighten minor pimple scars. As always, cut the soap into half if used for the body or in 3 section if used for the face so it will not melt easily. You can leave this for 2 mins on your face and 3-5 mins on your body for maximum effect.

Thanks for reading. Happy weekends everyone!

Good Times!~
