DC Pocket Cosplay at SM City Fairview

     Yesterday, superheroes came to life as cosplay afficionados gathered and showed their charm at the event center of SM City Fairview wearing their favorite DC Comics superhero costumes for the last leg of DC Pocket Cosplay. This event is in preparation for the DC Comics Super Hero World Record Event that will be happening this April 18, 2015 at The Block Atrium, SM City North EDSA. Yay! this will be the biggest gathering of cosplayers, DC Comics addict, DC video gamers, DC toy collectibles and everything in between.

     According to Alfonso who hosted the event yesterday, the number of cosplayers who joined at SM Fairview was one of the biggest. There were 11 contestants who displayed their DC superhero costumes, some were shy because it's their first time joining this kind of contest while others entered the stage loud and proud.      Christmas is for the kids and the kids at heart! When I ask my son what he wants to have this Christmas, the only answer I hear is TOY! It's a no brainer that most kids would love to receive toys as gift this holiday season. I was invited by Energizer last Saturday to witness the launch of the World's First Battery (Energizer)- Powered Playground. Lots of toys were on display that was powered by Energizer batteries.

The activity ran from 11am to 10pm at the Trinoma Activity Center last Saturday, December 13. The Philippine TOYCON: The Biggest Pop Culture Event in the Philippines celebrates its 13th year

     The Philippine Toys, Hobbies and Collectibles Convention, or TOYCON as it’s more widely-known, is Asia’s biggest and longest running convention for collectibles, toys, anime, comics, cosplay, gaming and anything and everything related to hobbies and collections. The convention has been ongoing since 2002 so it is now on its 13th year of thrilling fans and aficionados alike. It is, simply put, the biggest pop culture event in the country. 

     This year’s TOYCON will highlight the 75th Anniversary of DC Comics’ caped Crusader, Batman with a huge Batman display area, a life size Batpod, a kids’ activity area, exciting new Batman merchandise, and a gallery of art and collectibles of the Dark Knight Detective.

     Also catch the Samurai X fever as Warner Brothers previews the Rurouni Kenshin live-action film trilogy Parts II and III with a display of original costumes from the sensational Japanese hit movie.

    Get ready to be blown into space with Marvel’s latest epic movie, The Guardians of the Galaxy, with awesome displays, sneak peeks at the movie’s trailers and behind-the-scenes, special fan activities, and the Marvel roster of superstar artists like Leinil Yu, Carlo Pagulayan, Stephen Segovia, Roy Allan Martinez and Kim Jacinto.

    The TOYCON also gives you the biggest gathering of toy collections with the following prominent toy exhibits –
