Product Review: Natura Organics Himalayan Mud 21-in-1 Soap

Monday, July 21, 2014

If my memory serves me right, three years ago I had a hatred feeling against a certain black soap. It's not the black bleaching bar that I've tried from one of the famous brand of organic skin care products in our country today. Yes, it's a face and body soap that left a terrible effect on my face. The thing that irks me most is that it's organic. I have high expectations on that soap because before I get hold of it, I've seen positive reviews on their website and some beauty blogs. I really never expected that the "good" would turn so bad as in so so bad in my case.

So to end a long story short, after that experience I veered away from that brand. If you're adventurous with soaps I'm sure you can guess what kind of soap I'm saying here. I will not mention the brand, past is past and I've buried that sad experience. But today, I want to share a good news  :) I never thought that my fear of using a black-colored soap with ingredients that I'm not familiar with will turn into a delight. I think I want to rejoice because I've tried a black soap that didn't burn my face (this was the terrible effect that I have mentioned above) and made my skin healthy looking. Excited to find out why I'm raving a black soap today? Click CONTINUE READING to see my thoughts on Natura Organics Himalayan Mud 21-in-1 Soap :)

Product Review: Belo Intensive Whitening Bar- Kojic Acid + Tranexamic Acid

Friday, July 11, 2014

When it comes to skin whitening, I make sure that I use a product that is safe and effective. I always neither read the list of ingredients to make sure that my skin will not breakout nor will get irritated from the product itself. One of the most sought after ingredients in skin whitening today is kojic acid. I've tried kojic acid soaps in the past and some gave me a hit and miss results. I'm sure you've seen my reviews and based on that experience some kojic soaps may either break you out or will just give a temporary whitening result.

I was on grocery shopping last month when I saw this sleek orange and white box on one of the shelves that says Kojic Acid+ Tranexamic Acid. Sounds interesting because it’s not only Kojic Acid but it also contain Tranexamic Acid. I got intrigued so I grabbed the box immediately and saw that it was Belo Intensive Whitening Bar. I was giddy to try the soap but then I still have a whitening soap that I need to finish so I said to myself that I will really try that soap next month. But luckily, I was sent a few samples of the soap to try. I've been using the soap for more than a week now. I was amazed from the unique box because it contains interesting quotes and it's loaded with important information about the product. Are you excited to know my thoughts about this promising product from Belo? Click CONTINUE READING to find out why I can say that Belo authority has the expertise in formulating effective products!
Product Review: Belo Intensive Whitening Bar- Kojic Acid + Tranexamic Acid
I've been using the soap for more than a week now. Since the soap is labeled as intensive, I'm expecting to see results as early as 5 days. I'm already fair to begin with but my face is suffering from dark pimple marks and some freckles that need a heavy duty whitening soap in order to lighten them. I have high hopes with the soap because Belo’s product is indeed, 64% more effective than other products with Kojic Acid alone, as evidenced by clinical studies conducted. Sounds very promising right? Before the review, here are important points you need to know about the product:
Product Review: Belo Intensive Whitening Bar- Kojic Acid + Tranexamic Acid
Belo introduces its most effective, Intensive Whitening Bar
Dr. Vicki Belo has not earned the reputation of pioneering the best and the most sophisticated breakthrough products and treatments for skin health and long-lasting beauty for nothing.
She has been in the industry long enough to establish that unquestioned and unsurpassed credibility that catapulted her to be the country’s premiere beauty expert and cosmetic doctor whom everyone looks up to for her authority and unbridled talent. She caters to the stars and the general public alike, both spheres enjoying parallel care and utmost importance in all her clinics.

Her authority in beauty and health is so much so, that every Filipino now believes that “If it comes from Belo, it must be effective.”
Enter the latest product innovation on skin whitening called Belo Intensive Whitening Bar (Kojic Acid + Tranexamic Acid). This whitening bar boasts of a unique combination of today’s two most powerful whitening actives – Kojic Acid and Tranexamic Acid.
Product Review: Belo Intensive Whitening Bar- Kojic Acid + Tranexamic Acid
Kojic Acid is an organic compound that effectively inhibits the production of tyrosinase and melanin giving skin a visibly lighter appearance. Tranexamic Acid, on the other hand, is a peptide proven to inhibit inflammation and melanin formation. It is ideal for stubborn dark spots that do not respond to other skin lightening ingredients.

The soap is contained in a special box. As you can see on the photo above, there's an interesting quote printed above the Belo Intensive Whitening Bar logo.
This early, the bar soap has already been taking the country by storm, proving that Belo’s product is indeed, 64% more effective than other products with Kojic Acid alone, as evidenced by clinical studies conducted. Since this product is formulated by Dra. Vicki Belo herself, I can truly say that Belo Authority has the expertise in formulating effective products.

  • Made my skin squeaky clean after every bath.
  • Easily accessible.
  • There's a batch, manufacturing and expiry date printed on the box.
  • Dermatologist tested. Clinically proven.

What I don't like:

  • Made my skin a little dry but a dollop of lotion helps prevent dryness.

Will I repurchase? Yes!

Recommendation:
I give this a 4.75/5 rating. I already liked the soap on the first day of use. There's a very mild stinging and itching sensation meaning the soap's active ingredients is working on exfoliating dead skin cells on my face. It's tolerable that's why I'm not afraid that the soap would burn my skin like what happened to me with other brands of commercially produced kojic soap in the market today. Since this product is 64% more effective than other products with Kojic Acid alone (based on clinical studies) I can say that Belo authority really has the expertise in formulating effective products. After using the soap in a span of one week, there's a slight change in the color of my pimple marks, not that drastic but I can see a difference. This is what an intensive whitening bar should be, safe and effective that's why I highly recommend Belo Intensive Whitening Bar- Kojic Acid + Tranexamic Acid.
