Product Review: Lily's Touch Miracle Cream

Wednesday, March 09, 2016

Magic cream memories came back to me when I recently heard and discovered Lily's Touch Miracle Cream. My mother is a fan of magic creams that was originally produced in the Middle East. Those creams are moisturizers that claims to have a lot of skin care benefits, can be used as makeup base, and in the long run it will make the skin soft, smooth, and youthful. My mother was fond of magic creams before but magic creams lost their magic when other skin care products became a hit like bb and cc creams.

Fast forward today, a new magic cream was selling like hot cakes in the name of Lily's Touch Miracle Cream. It's not magic now but a miracle cream that promises benefits not only for face and neck but for other parts of body as well. I'm sure you are excited to read my review. Scroll down to see why despite I have a love-hate relationship with this product, I will still recommend this if you're in search of a multi-function product that can act as moisturizer and makeup base in one.

Product Review: Lily's Touch Miracle Cream

For this review, I will just list down what I've experienced from using Lily's Touch Miracle Cream for three weeks. The benefits of using this cream doesn't mean that you will experience it all. Since we have different skin types, I may or may not experience what you will or will not experience once or while you use this product.

price: 450 php (Around $9.58+)

place bought: Free

instructions for use: Apply as a moisturizer twice a day. Can be used as a makeup base too.

ingredients: Kojic Acid, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide. Alpha Tocopherol (Vit.E), Sunflower Oil, Emu Oil, Whitening Plant Extracts

Product Review: Lily's Touch Miracle Cream
It has a thick texture and consistency but I find it easy to apply using the dot-dot then spread application. I only use a pea-size amount on my face.

What I like:
  • For me, it's reasonably priced for a little amount of the product goes a long way. I think a tub can last more than a month if used on face and neck twice a day.
  • It has a thick texture and consistency but I find it easy to apply using the dot-dot then spread application. I only get a pea-size amount of the product and it's enough for my entire face.
  • I love the sweet melon-like scent of this all-in-one cream.
  • My skin feels soft and smooth to touch after application.
  • There's an instant white effect.
  • I've noticed a slight change in the color of my pimple mark after two weeks of religiously applying it day and night.
  • I can see that my face has a glowing effect after using it for a week.
  • I've used this on my face as a moisturizer. Since it has a matte finish, I also use this as a makeup base.
  • It's multi-function. See the benefits above.
  • It has a good amount of SPF- 40 to be exact.
  • There's a micro peeling effect on my face after using it for two weeks.

What I don't like:
  • It's in a jar/tub that doesn't come with a spatula. I find it unhygienic to dip my fingers every time I use the product.
  • No batch, manufacturing and expiry date printed on it.
  • Not easily accessible, you have to buy it online.
  • Can cause white cast on photos.
  • Haven't seen any anti-aging effect while using this product for three weeks.
  • I've noticed that some areas of my face became dry and flaky after a week of using this miracle cream.

Will I repurchase? Not yet because I still have a lot of remaining product in my 50 ml tub.

Recommendation:
I give this a 4/5 rating. Even though I have a love-hate relationship with Lily's Touch Miracle Cream, I will still say that it's a good moisturizer and a makeup base. It also contains natural active ingredients that are proven effective for some individuals. Vitamin E, Emu Oil, and Sunflower Oil have been proven to treat different skin problems that's why I will still recommend it if you're looking for a product to address your skin problems and concerns.

But there are individuals who breakout if they apply a cream or a product that has Vitamin E content on the ingredients. I've also heard my sister that she got pimples while using Sunflower Oil. Even though it has SPF40, it is still best to apply sunblock or sunscreen especially if you will stay long under the sun. Like what I always tell you, our skin may react differently to skin care products so what works for me may not work for you or vice versa.

Product Review: Snow Skin Whitening Lotion

Wednesday, February 17, 2016

Hello dearies! If you're a long time reader of this blog, prolly you have seen or have read my reviews on different whitening products be it cheap, affordable, cost-effective and high-end ones. Body lotion is one of the skin care products that I use that I cannot live without. I feel naked if I forgot to apply it after taking a bath. I'm expecting great results with this lotion because if you'll search this blog, you will see positive reviews of Snow Caps Glutathione, Snow Skin Whitening Soap, Acne Care, and mySlim- all these wonderful products are under Vida Nutri Science who also manufactured the Snow Skin Whitening Lotion and Snow Skin Whitening Cream. Feature: Glupa (Glutathione + Papaya) Skin Whitening System

Monday, October 13, 2014

Skin whitening is very popular nowadays here in our country. Based on my observation while doing our grocery shopping, women including men spend more than 10 minutes scrutinizing the list of whitening ingredients in their chosen soap brand/s. Glutathione is the most sought after skin lightening ingredient in the market today. Some manufacturers produce glutathione alone or combine other whitening ingredients that will boost the effect of skin whitening. Have you seen or heard the brand Glupa? To those who've seen the commercial I'm sure you're puzzled why the endorser is Boy Abunda.

Did you know that Glupa is the first whitening product to get an endorser that is not fair skinned? Yes, yes, yes! I'm sure you already know that endorser and was intrigued more about the product he's endorsing.

Glupa, is a breakthrough combination of Glutathione and Papaya that gives you twice the whitening power and twice the Glutathione content. It also provides the proper nutrients needed to promote the body's own ability to manufacture and utilize glutathione

Glutathione + Papaya makes the best protection against oxidative stress in cells, thus, strengthening our natural defenses, markedly decreasing our risk of getting sick, increasing the body's ability to utilize whole food antioxidants, while guarding against the effects of free radicals on the body's aging process. Product Review: KB Premium Whitening Body Lotion SPF 30

Tuesday, October 07, 2014

I've tried so many whitening/lightening/brightening lotions in the past that gave different results. Some made drastic changes while some are so-so. Some are cheaper than the leading brand while others are competing in the same price range. This is my first review of one of the most expensive whitening lotion that I've tried to date. I'm a cheapskate so the price of the product is one of the things I always consider when buying.

Kb Whitening brand from Yumeimise is one of the most popular brand of skin care products in the market today. This skin lightening product line is available in leading department stores and drugstores nationwide. I honestly like the product despite the steep price. If I'll splurge on something effective, I'll put this on my shopping list. Anyhoo, read my experience below on KB Premium Whitening Body Lotion with spf 30, click CONTINUE READING now!

Product Review: Be Organic Emu Skin Perfecting Cream

Thursday, October 17, 2013

Hello dearies! I'm very excited to share my review today because it's another first :) It's my first organic/natural face cream to date :) I'm a long time user of GNC Vitamin C Moisturizing cream and consumed more than five tubs already. And because I'm slowly incorporating organic products to my body and hair care essentials, I think now is the right time to have one for the face.

Remember my post about my discover of a new brand of organic soap that I've posted months ago? I mused my story there when I first saw the brand Be Organic. Aside from the soaps, this EMU Skin Perfecting cream caught my attention. I asked the SA about this cream and she said that it's a new product from Be Organic and explained to me that it's packed with vitamins and natural skin perfecting ingredients. Sounds very pleasing to the ears and kudos to the SA who knew what she really sells. Back to my story, I was tempted to buy a tub that time but I just brought an exact amount of money that day. So I said to myself that I'll come back for this cream on my next visit to SESOU store whether it's at Trinoma or Robinson's Galleria branch. But this lemming or wish came true when Ms. Cheryl of Be Organic Bath and Body sent me samples of their products. I'm really not expecting that she included a full-sized EMU Skin Perfecting Cream when I received my package. All I know is that she will just send me soaps because it was the only thing that I've mentioned on my previous post about my review on the Papaya Kojic soap. It's very heart warming when you're not expecting to receive products beyond your expectations. Don't get me wrong but I'm really overwhelmed with the products she sent me.

Are you familiar with Emu oil? Have you heard this miraculous product that came from the Emu bird? Click CONTINUE READING to know more information about the benefits and of course about this cream.

Product Review: Cosmo Skin Collagen Hand and Body Cream

Sunday, September 22, 2013

Happy Sunday to all despite the gloomy weather outside. Hope everyone is safe so stay indoors and relax while reading your favorite blogs :) Anyhoo, here's a review of another promising skin care product that I've been using for three weeks now. If you're the type who likes to see fast results then read the whole review so that you'll understand why I'm starting to like it even though I enumerated three negative things about this so called hand and body cream. Yes, it's a cream form of lotion. I presume what you have in mind now is the cons of using this product. In my honest opinion, cream based lotion is a no no especially in our humid weather, right? But there's another way where you can still use this type of lotion and see results immediately.

Have you heard of COSMO Skin? If not, click HERE and HERE so that you'll have the idea of what this brand has to offer. I've known this brand some four years ago and tried their soap more than once. If I've been blogging during that time, it's a sure thing that I'll be raving it over and over again. I've also tried their Grape Seed Extract supplement and I can say that it's a better alternative to Vitamin C because it has more anti-oxidant properties than Vitamin C alone.

So lets go back to star of this review! At first I have a love-hate relationship with the product but after a week it's all L-O-V-E! Now I'm telling you to click CONTINUE and enjoy reading!

Hello dearies! How's your week so far? My apologies for being MIA again, been very busy with personal matters lately and I know I owe you a lot. I need to get back on track because product reviews are piling up again on my blog bin. So to start, here's my review on iWhite Korea Facial Cream that was sent to me by Biocostech Phils. Corp.

iWhite Korea is a skin care brand formulated in Korea that specializes not only in whitening the skin but also in improving its overall texture through the natural plant extracts in their products that are refined through Bio-Nanotechnology.

Product Review: Quick FX Pimple Eraser

Sunday, September 30, 2012

Hi dearies! Today I want to share my thoughts on this cheap and effective product that I dared to try hoping that it will help me lighten up dark marks on my face caused by pimples. I saw this at Watson's months ago and I'm a bit skeptical if this product will work. Whenever I shop for my toiletries, my eyes were glued on this but I always resists the urge thinking that it will not work because it's cheap and never heard of the brand before. If I'm not mistaken, I attempted to put this on my shopping basket more than five times and when I'm going to pay for it, I will just leave it on the counter or inside my shopping basket thinking that it's just a waste of money if I'll purchase it.

So when my skin was acting up last month, I decided to take extra care of it by adding spot treatments. I searched for a zit zapper and I found a good one here. Pimples will leave a mark or post pigmentation that will eventually lighten up on it's own but it will take more than a month or longer depending on our skin's ability to regenerate. But for some individuals like me who have fair skin, this dark marks or blemishes look very unsightly. I can use a concealer to hide those marks and a heavy duty concealer that is pretty expensive will do the job. Since I'm a cheapskate, I'll look for another alternative.

Quick FX Pimple Eraser
helps dry up pimples, helps diminish and reduce dark spots due to scarring, helps protect the skin against the sun
I have no choice but to brave myself and try this Quick FX pimple eraser that I've been tempting to buy at Watsons long time ago. Well, I think my curiosity paid off :D Even if I'm thinking of the worst (negative reaction of my skin to the product) during my first application, my fingers were crossed and I patiently waited for the result. I can't assure you that this product works 100% but at least, I saw some changes and still hoping that it will lighten my blemishes more after using it for a longer period of time.
  • With Glycolic Acid that rejuvenates and evens out skin tone. It also clears pores by removing old and dead skin, exposing healthy skin cells underneath.
  • With Salicylic Acid that helps prevent and treat pimples. It also clears out blemishes, fine lines, and dark spots.
  • With Zinc Oxide that helps control inflammations and relieves the skin against irritation and rash. It also helps provide superior protection against the harmful rays of the sun.
  • With Vitamin C that helps protect against UVB rays and can help combat sun damage. It also decreases wrinkles and lightens pigmented skin.
  • With Niacinamide that helps lighten dark spot. It also helps in the treatment of acne.

Quick FX Pimple Eraser
Thick consistency so a little goes a long way.

size: 10g

price: 49.75 php (Around $1.00+)

place bought: Watsons Sm Fairview

instructions for use: Gently apply on the area affected by pimples. Apply two times a day, morning and night.

ingredients: Aqua, Mineral Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol (and) Ceteareth-20, Zinc Oxide, Isopropyl Myristate, Stearic Acid, Glycerin, Glyceryl Stearate, Butyrospermum Parkii, Cyclopentasiloxane, Glycolic Acid, Niacinamide, Methylisothiazolinone and Chlorphenesin, Salicylic Acid, Ethyl Ascorbic Acid.

What I like:
  • The price is a steal! It's cheap compared to other whitening spot treatment in the market.
  • Unscented.
  • No allergic reaction, breakouts or whatsoever.
  • A little goes a long way.
  • Contains 5 active ingredients that perform different function to combat skin imperfections.
  • I noticed that some pimple marks lightened after three weeks of religious application.
  • There's a bit of peeling on the newly dried pimple and post acne scar.
  • Batch, manufacturing and expiration date is stamped on the packaging.

What I don't like:
  • The packaging- you have to transfer the product to a small pot container. I think it's more convenient to use if they place the product in a tube-type container.
  • Takes a little time and effort to absorb.

Will I repurchase? Yes!

Recommendation:
I give this a 4.25 4.75/5 rating. I use this together with Celeteque Acne Spot Corrector Gel and with patience of applying both product day and night, I can say that there's an improvement on the size and intensity of blemishes and dark spots on my face. This cream does not produce significant results overnight so be patient and apply it religiously. If you have spare time, you can apply the product more than twice like what I do to speed up the lightening process. Make sure you do a patch test before applying the product. It contains mineral oil so to those allergic to it just skip this.

Do you use spot treatment cream to lighten pimple marks? Thanks for sharing!

Good Times!~

Product Review: Mosbeau All-in-One Face Cream

Tuesday, May 29, 2012

Hi lovelies! It's back to school once again. I'm guessing that malls will have their sale before school begins. I miss going to school :( I can still remember my cramming experience when buying school supplies and new set of stuffs. We always bumped into different people having the same dilemma as mine. Shoe sizes that's always out of stock, designs that were almost fading because it's the only one left, and so on and so forth. Those were the crazy back to school days fever. So before we bid goodbye to May, I will make a review of another skin care that I won from a giveaway.

This product came from Mosbeau and it's one of AskMeWhats grand giveaway last December. Five long months have passed, this is enough for me to gauge how did the product fare with my skin. Prolly you know that I made a post on Mosbeau here after a month of usage. I didn't see any significant changes on my skin particularly on my freckles and uneven tone that's why I continued using this mositurizing gel but there's a doubt on my mind already. Shall we start the review now? This will be my honest to goodness take on Mosbeau All-in-One Facial Cream, the one being endorsed by Angel Locsin.

I tend to stay away from heavy creams on my face because it makes my skin oilier. When I discovered GNC Vitamin C Moisturizing Cream I said to myself that I will not dare look for another face cream until Mosbeau came but I have this love-hate relationship when I won the price because I'm afraid that using another product means starting back at one. Being a cheapskate, I will not spend over a thousand bucks just to try out a new product. With fingers crossed I just said to myself Okay, since this is free why not give it a try.
Mosbeau All-in-One Face Cream
I like the touch of gold on this tub, very classy :)

Loaded with moisturizing herb extracts, it also helps and nourish and hydrate the skin to make it feel velvety soft and smooth after every application. Now you can enjoy skin-whitening, moisturizing, anti-aging, and UV protection in just one, easy step!
Mosbeau All-in-One Face Cream
After 4 months of using this religiously every morning, only a few is left on the tub.
size: 70g

price: SRP at 1,480** php ( Around $ 34.30+ )

place bought: free, giveaway prize
Watson's, Mercury Drugstore, South Star Drug, Rose Pharmacy and PCX

instruction for use: After washing face, lightly pat dry face leaving the skin still a bit damp. Scoop an ample amount of cream and massage all over your face and neck using an upward, circular motion.

ingredients: Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Squalene, Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Dipotassium, Glycyrrhizate, Sodium Hydroxide, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Ubiquinone, Placental Protein, Beta Arbutin, Hydrolyzed Conchiolin Protein, Sericin, Algae Extract, Arnica Montana Flower Extract, Lamium Album Flower Extract, Nasturtium Officinale Extract, Arctium Lappa Root Extract, Pinus Sylvestris Cone Extract, Hedera Helix (Ivy) Extract, Allium Sativum (Garlic) Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, Beeswax, 1,2-Hexanediol, Behenyl Alcohol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Magnesium, Ascorbyl Phosphate, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil

Mosbeau All-in-One Face Cream
Gel type moisturizer that leaves a light and cool feel on my face.

What I like:

  • The packaging is very classy and it has a top plastic lid that's been a product saver for me when I accidentally drop the tub.
  • I like the scent, light and not overpowering.
  • The watery gel-cream formulation leaves a light feeling on my face.
  • Smooth to apply that's easily absorbed by the skin.
  • Not oily, not sticky and non-greasy. Can be used as a makeup base.
  • Free of Parabens and Dimethicone.
  • Brightens my face and it helped me lightened my post acne marks.
  • For the price, its fairly reasonable for a 70g product that lasts me about 4 months. Do the math :p
  • Boasts 70g of product compared to other brands that contain only 50g.
  • There's a batch, manufacturing and expiry date printed on the box.

What I don't like:

  • Even though I like the packaging, I still find it bulky so I need to transfer it in another container for travelling.
  • No major changes on my freckles and skin tone. I'm already fair to start with so I guess ladies with medium tone will see some improvement on their skin specially on whitening department.
  • This jar/tub type of packaging is unhygienic since you have to scoop out the product and using your fingers will contaminate it.
  • I don't know how much SPF is in it, I wish there's a 15 or 30 SPF even if they included Sericin as UVA/UVB blocker in their ingredients list.

Will I repurchase? Yes! Not for lightening/ whitening part but as a moisturizer and an anti-aging product. Maybe if I have an extra money and is not itching to try other moisturizer in the market.

Recommendation:
I give this a 4/5 rating. Now I'm almost done with this, I just want to share a few things about the product. Even though they labeled this as an all-in-one face cream, you still have to use a separate sunblock prior to sun exposure. Don't expect this cream to produce miracle overnight. Patience is a virtue and consistency is the key. You have to use this religiously to see your desired results. This cream is sold with the peeling soap so it's best to use them in pair if you want drastic changes to which I will tell on another post. Always do a patch test for allergies. You will see some herbal ingredients on the list and I know some people allergic even to natural and organic products. They too can cause allergic reactions. Being organic doesn't mean it's safe for everybody. I'm not saying that this cream is organic, it just contain some natural ingredients.

Whew! Another long post and detailed review. I hope this may somehow fed your curiosity about Mosbeau. I know a lot of girls wanted to try this and include in their skin care regimen but they're afraid of wasting their time, effort and money if bad reactions occur. I will also make a comprehensive review on Mosbeau soap this week so stay tuned ladies!

Have you tried any Mosbeau products? What's your experience with it?Thanks for sharing!
