Hi dearies! Today I want to share my thoughts on this cheap and effective product that I dared to try hoping that it will help me lighten up dark marks on my face caused by pimples. I saw this at Watson's months ago and I'm a bit skeptical if this product will work. Whenever I shop for my toiletries, my eyes were glued on this but I always resists the urge thinking that it will not work because it's cheap and never heard of the brand before. If I'm not mistaken, I attempted to put this on my shopping basket more than five times and when I'm going to pay for it, I will just leave it on the counter or inside my shopping basket thinking that it's just a waste of money if I'll purchase it.
So when my skin was acting up last month, I decided to take extra care of it by adding spot treatments. I searched for a zit zapper and I found a good one here. Pimples will leave a mark or post pigmentation that will eventually lighten up on it's own but it will take more than a month or longer depending on our skin's ability to regenerate. But for some individuals like me who have fair skin, this dark marks or blemishes look very unsightly. I can use a concealer to hide those marks and a heavy duty concealer that is pretty expensive will do the job. Since I'm a cheapskate, I'll look for another alternative.

I have no choice but to brave myself and try this Quick FX pimple eraser that I've been tempting to buy at Watsons long time ago. Well, I think my curiosity paid off :D Even if I'm thinking of the worst (negative reaction of my skin to the product) during my first application, my fingers were crossed and I patiently waited for the result. I can't assure you that this product works 100% but at least, I saw some changes and still hoping that it will lighten my blemishes more after using it for a longer period of time.
- With Glycolic Acid that rejuvenates and evens out skin tone. It also clears pores by removing old and dead skin, exposing healthy skin cells underneath.
- With Salicylic Acid that helps prevent and treat pimples. It also clears out blemishes, fine lines, and dark spots.
- With Zinc Oxide that helps control inflammations and relieves the skin against irritation and rash. It also helps provide superior protection against the harmful rays of the sun.
- With Vitamin C that helps protect against UVB rays and can help combat sun damage. It also decreases wrinkles and lightens pigmented skin.
- With Niacinamide that helps lighten dark spot. It also helps in the treatment of acne.

instructions for use: Gently apply on the area affected by pimples. Apply two times a day, morning and night.
ingredients: Aqua, Mineral Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol (and) Ceteareth-20, Zinc Oxide, Isopropyl Myristate, Stearic Acid, Glycerin, Glyceryl Stearate, Butyrospermum Parkii, Cyclopentasiloxane, Glycolic Acid, Niacinamide, Methylisothiazolinone and Chlorphenesin, Salicylic Acid, Ethyl Ascorbic Acid.
What I like:
- The price is a steal! It's cheap compared to other whitening spot treatment in the market.
- Unscented.
- No allergic reaction, breakouts or whatsoever.
- A little goes a long way.
- Contains 5 active ingredients that perform different function to combat skin imperfections.
- I noticed that some pimple marks lightened after three weeks of religious application.
- There's a bit of peeling on the newly dried pimple and post acne scar.
- Batch, manufacturing and expiration date is stamped on the packaging.
What I don't like:
- The packaging- you have to transfer the product to a small pot container. I think it's more convenient to use if they place the product in a tube-type container.
- Takes a little time and effort to absorb.
Will I repurchase? Yes!
Recommendation:
I give this a 4.25 4.75/5 rating. I use this together with Celeteque Acne Spot Corrector Gel and with patience of applying both product day and night, I can say that there's an improvement on the size and intensity of blemishes and dark spots on my face. This cream does not produce significant results overnight so be patient and apply it religiously. If you have spare time, you can apply the product more than twice like what I do to speed up the lightening process. Make sure you do a patch test before applying the product. It contains mineral oil so to those allergic to it just skip this.

oh gosh. I also had this kind of weird encounter with Quick FX at Watson's. There's really something about the product that's calling for you to purchase, but you just can't decide! :D I ended up buying the tinted moisturizer but it didn't work well for me. So maybe I'll buy the pimple eraser next time :))

ReplyDeletewow. so im not the only one with the same experience. i think what's catchy about dis product other than the huge letterings, is that the completeness of the description on the packaging. it has all the effects a person needs, for pimples, dark spots, and protection from the sun. also the descriptions at the back looks very factual. for me this also gets a rating of 5. and i highly recommend it.and yeah they should change the packaging, but i do not transfer it to another container i just roll it down and secure it with a bobby pin afraid it will be contaminated. HAHA being OC. that's all. (first time to comment on a blog :D)

@E- Hello there! Thank you for sharing your experience with QUICK FX. I'm using this until now. If I'm not mistaken, I already consumed 6 packs of this. I know it's only sold in Watsons. Siguro if there's a Watsons branch that is not mall based you can check it there. Meron kasi Watsons near us na madaming QUICK FX since the store is located sa bayan lang. Hope this helps :D

ReplyDelete@Anonymous- Hello :) I use the celeteque spot corrector gel more on cystic pimples and pimple that's very red, painful and with nodules (pus). While I use Quick FX pimple eraser for dried up zits and dark spots. This is sort of dark spot corrector for me. I think you can't put them both kasi you have to address muna existing pimples with one spot treatment and when it's healing you can put another of the same or different kind.

I have problems with pimples coz whenever I have one, it stays on my face for days! And it's annoying, especially when you're not used to it.. I have already tried a variety of facial soaps pero wala pa rin.. I was at Watson one time and I saw this product.. The name is very catchy, and the price as well, it's 49.00 here in our place.. I also love the packaging, (yung may tube na).. First time ko pa lang guamit, umepekto na kaagad.. Pag feeling ko may tutubong pimple na naman, linalagyan ko ka'gad nito, di na xa lumalaki.. Bumalik ka'gad ako sa watson para bumili ng marami, kaso pagbalik ko, isa nalang yung available.. :-( Yung mga acne scars ko nga pala, nag li-lighten na xa.. :-) basta effective talaga..

ReplyDelete@Anonymous (nik)- Haven't tried those products from Nivea. You'll know na hindi effective sayo yung product if after 2 weeks hindi pa din nagsusubside yung purging stage. It also depends on your skin. Some kasi inaabot ng months bago nila masabi kung effective hindi. Finding the right skin care product for you is always trial and error din.

Since you just started using this product, be cautious of negative effects once you see it stop using the product na. Don't lose your confidence sis, we are all beautiful!!!

Lahat naman ng pimples pag hindi pa dry mapula talaga kahit ano pa yung cream na gamitin mo. this one is used to flatten the pimple area pero nandun pa din yung redness nya. if the pimple is going to dry up na medyo nawawala na yung redness tapos papalit na yung nagiging dark color na.

I have dreamed about smooth skin all my life. What I wouldn't give to have it, but not having a whole lot of money is a problem too cuz it would cost mega bucks too! :(

ReplyDeleteI usually use just a mild soap and haven't had many breakouts. Another thing I have been using is a coconut oil based vegan soap that works very well. This does, however, sound like a fantastic product!

I'm worried this past month since July I started having pimples more than I used to. I thought it's just bcos of weather change then I saw a video from YouTube saying July is acne awareness month or something.
This product is really effective! I applied it in the morning, then another overnight and I woke up with dried up and smaller pimples. :) I'm on my third day now and half a number of my pimples were already gone! Must try product! ;)

Hi! I just started using this product last saturday. And monday na ngayon. I can feel some changes din naman. Feel ko talaga nabubura pimple marks ko. Feel ko lang. Gaan gaan niya sa face hehe. But the thing is, nagkaroon ako ng malalaking pimples sa nuo at pisngi. Pero nung nilagyan ko naman ng pimple eraser, natutuyo naman siya. Ganon ba talaga pag sa umpisa? Or should I stop using it na?

DeleteIf mas naging worse pa yung pimples mo, stop mo muna. Pero kung hindi naman, you may continue using. I'm not sure if they reformulated Quick FX na kasi itong review ko is 2012 pa. Hindi na ko ulit nakasubok ng QuickFX after ko magamit ito noong 2012.
Hello. This is very effective for me but it takes time. Nawala naman dark spots ko and acne scars ko after months of using it. Kaso lately nappansin ko nagddry na face ko kasi di ako gumagamit ng moisturizer. I dunno if ung spot corrector ung nakaka dry. Can I use this first tapos moisturize? or the other way around? thanks. :)

I was looking for a good product for my pimples kasi parang dumadami siya tapos sa may chin lagi. I'm loyal user ng Ponds but I decided to try other products. So kanina nagpunta ako ng watsons, nakailang ikot na ako di ako makapagdecide kung ano bibilhin. Then I saw a group of ladies na kumukuha nitong Quick Fx pimple eraser. So before pa maubos, kumuha na rin ako. Hope it works din sa skin ko :)

I'm currently using it now. But i got tge itching effect. Does it mean it's effective or not? I like the clearing effect though.

DeleteThere may be an ingredient or two na hindi ka hiyang. Try to stop it muna for one week then use it again. Pag may itching, hindi ka hiyang.
