Random Winnings

Hi dearies! My apologies for not posting lately. I'm still alive and kicking :D Been very busy with family and some personal stuff. I want to catch up on my backlogs and make a new review after new year but not sure if I can make it :( Hope you can still find time to read my posts even though haven't posted a decent one. Oh by the way, January is my birth month so there will be another giveaway coming next month.

I just want to share my overdue giveaway winnings since the contests that I joined happened a few months ago. If you follow me on twitter I'm sure you've read my rant about the giveaway prize that took almost 6 months before it reached our doorsteps. Whew! Will not make blabber about it, just scroll down and click the photos or the links if you wanna follow blogs I'm following so that you can also join their giveaways :)))

I won a NAVA see through bag and a Bench perfume from Alyssa Lapid's June Birthday giveaway but I don't know what happened to the Bench perfume because I received 2 Status Magazine instead.

Alyssa Lapid's June Birthday Giveaway

Thank you for the note Alyssa :)
Remember my post about the makeup workshop that I attended? After the workshop, Kanebo was very generous and had a raffle of their products including a solid soap, skincare set and a gorgeous eyeshadow palette. I was not expecting to win since this product was raffled last.

Kikay Trekkie's Half-off the price for Radiant Beauty Makeup Workshop by Kanebo and Suzzane Tan
Shade is 03 Mauve pink
Very classy packaging!!!
Hello gorgeous :) But for unfortunately, I already sold this palette when we needed extra money for my father's dialysis. I hope this is not a big issue since this was my prize- I can do whatever I want and this did NOT came from the products sent by the company to review and or from press kits.
And lastly this very elegant nail file came from Czech Republic!!! I won this from Chic and Sassy Homemakers Mont Bleu Giveaway! This is something new for me because it's not an ordinary nail file. It is made from glass and has the unique design- SWAROVSKI CRYSTALS.

Chic and Sassy Homemaker's MONT BLEU Giveaway

L- Travel size glass nail file
R- Nail File with Swarovski Crystals
The nail file is very gorgeous that I'm just planning to display it. I don't want to use this coz I'm afraid that I will misplace the stones unconsciously while filing my nails. Haha! The mini nail file is very cuteee! Small enough to place inside my pocket or inside my makeup pouch.

That's all for now. Thank you so much to these lovely bloggers for having awesome giveaways.

Good Times!~

Product Review: Virginia Olsen Minerals Choco Eyeliner

Saturday, December 22, 2012

Hi! I'm back after a week of feeling the holiday depression thingy where I just wanted to stay at home and think of nothing. Well, it's hormonal I guess because after my monthly visit the feeling just flown away. I feel the holidays now! So let's start celebrating this season with good vibes and by that I want to share my happy thoughts on my first mineral makeup experience. I really want to share this review because I know most of us use pencil, liquid or gel type of eyeliner. If you're thinking that loose pigments like this will not give you the good color pay-off that you're looking for an eyeliner then think twice. This baby gives amazing results!
Virginia Olsen Minerals eye colour has been produced with a high density of mineral makeup ingredients, so a little goes a long way. These natural cosmetics can be used interchangeably as eyeliner, highlighter, or eyeshadow.

Product Review: Snoe Rouge Deluxe Complete Lip Care in X7 Just Peachy

Friday, December 14, 2012

After raving about MAC Girl About Town, here's another lipstick that will make your day bright. Yes, this shade brings good vibes to me whenever I'm wearing it. I get lots of compliment whenever I'm sporting this shade from Snoe Beauty. I love that Snoe delved deeper in producing makeups that doesn't contain synthetic materials. They're taking the local skin care and cosmetic industry by storm and most of the beauty bloggers that I know loves a product or two from Snoe.

Without further ado, I will now share my thoughts on Snoe Rouge Deluxe Complete Lip Care in X7 Just Peachy. This came from the loot that was given to me during the Snoe Beauty Bloggers Event. I chose Just Peachy because I wanted to try a peach based lipstick and see if I can pull it off. Guess what? First impression really do last! So read more to find out ^_^
Snoe's Rouge Deluxe is an oil-infused rich and creamy lip color in the season's hottest hues. It will hydrate, nourish, and revitalize lips. While delivering long-lasting color, this product works to smoothen and soften the lips, making your pout extra kissable. Edited to only the most fashionable shades, it's impossible to pick just one.

Recommendation:
I give this a 4.5/5 rating. Even though it doesn't dry my lips, I suggest you to swipe your favorite lip balm prior to lipstick application for an added protection. This is my fave peach and red lipstick as of the moment, think of MAC Lady Danger as what The Beauty Junkee said on her swatch post.

Product Review: Human Heart Nature Purifying Facial Scrub

Friday, December 07, 2012

Exfoliation is an important part of skin care for both the face and body. Face and body scrubs have been part of my skin care regimen ever since and I always make sure that I scrub them once or twice a week. Exfoliation helps in removing dead skin cells and make our creams, lotions, serums and other skin care products more effective because it will be absorbed more. I presume that many of us have tried St. Ives Apricot Scrub. I used it before but I find the scrub a bit harsh for my skin. If you're a long time reader of this blog prolly you know that my HG facial mask as of the moment is Purederm Dual-Well Being Pack. It's not a scrub but a peeling gel that comes with a face mask.

Since most of the skin care products that I use now contains natural ingredients, methinks it's time to look for a natural facial scrub that works! Good thing my sister won in a giveaway where she got a loot of Human Heart Nature skin products. She gave me this facial scrub weeks ago. So after two weeks of using this scrub (twice a week) here's my honest to goodness review.  This product is a keeper and an addition to my growing organic skin care products as well.
Human Heart Nature Purifying Facial Scrub
Face the year with a fresh start! Our all-new, all-natural facial scrub has real strawberry seeds and fine bamboo granules to gently scrub away dirt, oil, dull-looking skin cells as well as last year's bad habits. So you can start the year with a softer, smoother, brighter complexion and with a new year's resolution to purify your skin two to three times a week for a fresh, pure clean without that tight, dry feeling!

Landmark Trinoma, visit Human Heart Nature for other store locations and re-sellers

instructions for use: Massage gently onto damp face and rinse with water. For best results, use two or three times a week.

ingredients: water, stearic acid (vegetable derived), decylglucoside (coconut derived), glyceryl stearate (vegetable derived), sodium lactate (sugarcane derived), sodium gluconate (sugarcane derived), Bambusa arundinaceae (bamboo) stem extract, Fragaria vesca (strawberry) seed, levulinic acid (rice/corn derived), coco glucoside (coconut derived), glyceryloleate (coconut derived), xanthan gum, fragrance (all natural), phytic acid (rice derived), anisic acid (anise acid derived), iron oxide (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499)

What I like:
  • It's organic!
  • A little amount of product goes a long way.
  • Affordable.
  • Comes in a convenient tube that's easy to use.
  • The strawberry scent is addicting.
  • Gentle yet effective in removing blackheads.
  • Doesn't dry out my skin.
  • My skin feels smooth and supple after use.
  • No irritation, breakouts or whatsoever.
  • No parabens, phthalates, SLS/SLES or other toxic substances.
  • Manufacturing, batch and expiry date printed on the packaging.

What I don't like:
  • Not readily available, I hope Human Heart Nature will bring it to leading department stores and groceries nationwide.

Will I repurchase? Yes, this product is back-up worthy.

Recommendation:
I give this a 4.75/5 rating. As much as I wanted to give this product a perfect rating, methinks will just reserve it since this is my first organic facial scrub. I will not rave too much about it because I also want to give other organic face scrubs in the market a try. BUT this facial scrub performs well and stays true to it's promise! I also love that my face feels squeaky clean without the drying and tight feeling after using this scrub.

Do you use facial scrub every week? Share your experience dearies!

Good Times!~
