Product Review: Cosmo Cee Vitamin C

Monday, March 16, 2015

I rarely get coughs, colds, and flu. I guess it's because I take vitamin c every day. I take around 500- 1,000 mg of vitamin c alongside with the fruits and vegetables that I eat. There are so many kinds of vitamin c today and sodium ascorbate is gaining popularity because they dubbed it as the "non-acidic" vitamin c.

According to vitaminfoundation.org- Sodium ascorbate is a form of vitamin C that has been bound to the mineral salt sodium. Like vitamin C, the basic properties and health benefits of sodium ascorbate are virtually identical with ascorbic acid, but the mineral salt buffers thus lower the acidity of ascorbic acid. The buffered sodium ascorbate may enter the bloodstream more slowly than ascorbic acid when taken orally. So those who are veering away from ascorbic acid because it causes stomach pain, sodium ascorbate is what you need if you think you need an added boost in your vitamin c intake. I've known COSMO Cee for more than a year now and 3 months ago I decided to take this brand because I'm acidic. Product Review: Scott's Vitamin C Pastilles in Mixed Berries Flavor

As a mom, I only want the best for my son. I know all mothers will do everything just to make sure their child gets the best things life has to offer. I always make sure Kenzo eats the right kind of food, he drinks clean water and he gets added nutrition from supplements that will protect him from viruses and other harmful bacteria. I know I cannot guard him 24/7 and I don't have a telescopic sense to guard him against infections.

There are kids (including Kenzo) who refuse to take Vitamins because of the taste and other side effects associated with it. I had a share of experiences where Kenzo will spit out the vitamins after taking it. The solution to this dilemma was made possible when I met Scott's. Introducing Scott's Vitamin C Pastilles- a gummy Vitamin that is high in Vitamin C provides daily immunity support, easy to take and great for kids! Product Review: Natura Organics Fruit Bio-Active Complex C- Miracle Body Polish

Saturday, April 05, 2014

Ah body scrubs! First thing that comes to my mind when someone says exfoliate. There are different types of body scrubs in the market today and I'm sure you're having a hard time looking for the one. I've tried more than 5 brands of body scrubs before and I can say that based on the scrubber used as the main ingredient, you can see really tell which one will agree to your skin. There are salt type body scrubs, paste type with very fine beads, cream type with fruit seeds or fiber as exfoliant and etc, etc. I presume that you all know I'm an avid fan of organic products and I'm still on search for the best or at least better alternative to chemically-harsh skin care products in the market today. As for the body scrubs, I think I haven't found the best in terms of the quality and price but I've discovered one of the cost-effective especially if you're into luxurious body scrubs. I'm a cheapskate that's why even if the product is worth the price, I'm still having thoughts if I'll push through with it or just look for another alternative.

I think this body polish comes with a hefty price tag compared to the brands that I've tried before but if you'll look closely to the ingredients, the natural ingredients used are of high quality and yes they are expensive too. Take for example the grapeseed fiber used as scrubber, I love eating grapes but whatever season we have the price of this fruit is high compared to other fruits in the market. But if you have the money to splurge a little on a skin care product that contains effective ingredients then I recommend you try this body polish. So without further ado, here's the review of Natura Organics Fruit Bio-Active Complex C-Miracle Body Polish. Click CONTINUE READING to know more about the product.

Product Review: GNC Vitamin C Moisturizing Cream

Monday, September 26, 2011

Hello everyone! How's your day? Well, I'm good but I'm a bit lazy to make another review from organic products that I've been using. So I'll just make a short review on one of my HG moisturizer. When I say HG (holy grail), I mean that I'm using the product for more than 3 months now and my skin loves it.

GNC Vitamin C Moisturizing Cream

Some of us don't follow the basic step in skin care routine- the cleanse-tone-moisturize thing. One of the important step here is moisturizing. Some of us tends to neglect and skip this step. I suffered from adult acne when I was in college so I tried different brands of moisturizer from high ends, low ends and cost effective ones.
I can say that my search for the perfect moisturizer is over until I read in a forum from female network this brand and been raved by GTalkers. May I now present to you the GNC Vitamin C Moisturizing Cream.
GNC or General Nutrition Centers is one of American commercial enterprise that focuses on retail sales of health and nutrition related products including vitamins, supplements, minerals, herbs, sports nutrition, diet and energy produtcs. Here in our country, GNC Live Well store are located in various malls. Some of them have stand alone store and kiosks.
So now let's focus on the product review. This moisturizing cream is under their beauty and wellness product along with other moisturizers like Aloe Vera moisturizing cream for sensitive skin and Vitamin A,E and D for dry skin. This product is also labeled as anti-aging cream.

GNC Vitamin C Moisturizing Cream
This is how the product looks like. It's almost half way of the tub.
GNC Vitamin C Moisturizing Cream
sorry for the blurry pic, the consistency is thick like that of a mayonnaise

What I like:
  • Not oily and easily absorbed by the skin.
  • Much softer/supple skin and brighter looking appearance.
  • No break-outs and irritations.
  • Light citrusy scent that is not overpowering.
  • The consistency of the cream is thick but spreadable.
  • Inexpensive for a 2oz jar because I only needed a pea size for my face and another pea size for my neck.
  • One jar lasted me for more than 3 months.
  • Batch and expiry date is stamped on the bottom of the jar.
What I don't like:
  • The packaging is a bit big for travel.
  • In a tub, not hygienic.
Will I repurchase: YES!

Recommendation:
I give this a 5/5 rating. I think it's better if the packaging is in a tube type like those of toothpaste or in a pump bottle. On the other hand, i love this product and I'm on my second tub now. It's a steal for a moisturizer that can also be a substitute for a night cream because you will wake up with a supple and hydrated face without the greasy feel.

I highly recommend this product for all skin types specially to ladies starting their late 20's because vitamin C also helps in the production of collagen which gives elasticity to the skin. Use a spatula to scoop out the cream and don't use your bare hands because it will contaminate the product.

I super love this product! That's all for now ladies. Have a great day ahead.

Good Times!~
