Product Review: Mamonde Rose Water Toner

Thursday, January 05, 2017

Hello dearies! I want to share with you my thoughts on my current fave toner- Mamonde Rose Toner that I bought last year from Althea Korea. At first I was hesitant to try the product because of the price and thinking that it will just go to waste if my skin will react negatively to it. On the other hand, there's a whispering voice telling me to try it because it's rose water- and skin care products with rose extracts are known to give a moisturizing and calming effect on the skin.

I made a research online and it looks like that only a few made a review of this product. After finishing a bottle, I'm proud to say that I experienced little to no breakouts. This is also the mildest toner that I've tried to date. So without further ado, here's my thoughts on Mamonde Rose Toner.

Product Review: Mamonde Rose Water Toner

Mamonde Rose Water Toner
  • Contains 90.89% of Damask rose water. Damask rose raised in Bulgaria, a world-famous rose-growing district, has been used as skin toner due to its excellent calming and moisturizing effect.
  • It is extracted at low temperature and ultra high pressure, different from high temperature distillation. It minimizes the damage of effective ingredients.
  • It is free of animal material, mineral oil, artificial coloring and 1,4-dioxin.
  • Multi-purpose as it can be used as a mist and soothing mask too.

Product Review: Mamonde Rose Water Toner

size: 250 ml

price: 740 on sale for 540 (Around $19.90+)

place bought: ph.althea.kr

instructions for use: After washing the face, saturate a cotton pad or pour some on your hand and apply to skin starting from the center of the face and working your way out. You can also use this as a facial mist, just transfer the product in a spray bottle. As a soothing mask by wetting a gauze or a mask sheet.

ingredients: Rose Extract (90.89%), Butylene Glycol, Prunus Mume Fruit Extract, Nelumbo Nucifera Flower Extract, Glycerin, Ethyhexylglycerin, Carbomer, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Tromethamine, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrances

What I like:
  • The price is affordable if I'll do the math since this bottle lasted for more than three months.
  • The bottle packaging is simple and dispenses the right amount of product.
  • Hooray for see through bottle packaging- I can easily gauge how much product left inside.
  • There's a subtle rose scent.
  • Feels so light upon application. It's like I'm just applying water on my face.
  • There's a soothing sensation after application.
  • I can say that my skin is moisturized after application of this toner.
  • Gentle on skin and eyes.
  • No irritation, breakouts, allergies, or whatsoever.

What I don't like:
  • Not easily accessible
  • I hope they've included other skin benefits like pore tightening or skin whitening.

Will I repurchase: Big fat YES! I've already placed my order on Althea Korea's website :)

Recommendation:
I give this product a 5/5 rating. I so love the effect of this toner on my skin. Gentle and mild plus the rose scent is relaxing and soothing. I also discovered that it can be used as facial mist and additional ingredient to your favorite face masks!

Since Mamonde Rose Water Toner is still on sale, I'll definitely be hoarding more bottles! This product is okay with sensitive and combination skin that's prone to breakouts.

What's your favorite facial toner?

Good Times!~

  1. Hi! I'm just starting to try these korean beauty products and I'm kind of confused as to how I should put them and if it's possible to use a product while using another. I was planning to buy this Mamonde Rose Water Toner but now, I am using Nature Republic's cucumber cleansing water. Is it okay to use the Nature Republic cleansing water then use this Mamonde Rose Water Toner after? Btw, I am also using Nature Republic's facemask after I cleanse my face with their cleansing water. Thanks for your answer! :)

    1. Hi,

You can use different products as long as there is no adverse reaction on your skin. It's not necessarily that you use the entire line on your face. Since I'm not aware of Nature Republic Cleansing water, I suggest that you choose between the Mamonde Rose Toner and the Nature Republic. I guess both serves as toner? Not sure though, but what I know of cleansing water is they act as toner also.

    1. Hi,

More on hydration. Brightening is not that obvious.
