     When life wear meets Jollibee- there's Jollibee x UNIQLO! Here's another exciting collaboration of the country’s leading fast-food chain and global Japanese retail brand, Uniqlo. This collaboration is set to release a new line of graphic tees bearing the iconic Jollibee marque. The limited edition shirt collection is already available in all Uniqlo stores nationwide. 

     I'll be visiting UNIQLO this week and will check the t-shirt designs in this collaboration. But first, let me show you some of the designs below. Check it out!

     Uniqlo introduces five new Jollibee t-shirt designs under its UT line, which has been featuring Asian brands that enjoy strong recognition and connection with the local market. And Jollibee is definitely a brand that’s close to the heart of every Filipino.

     The second Jollibee and Uniqlo t-shirt collection was launched during the #PinoyAndProud Grand Independence Day celebration, held at Metrotent, Pasig City. The new Jollibee tees exhibited versatility as its five designs were showcased in three different styling collections namely, Athleisure, Summer, and Denim.

     The new t-shirt series is also in line with the playful vibe that the Jollibee brand exudes, appealing to the child in every Filipino. And also in keeping with Uniqlo’s trademark basic, yet functional, and classic apparels.

The Jollibee t-shirts will also be available at all Uniqlo stores in Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia.

     We Filipinos have proven that in times of need, we always extend our helping hand to strangers. We also make sure to protect our families, relatives, and friends when there are misfortunes happening around us and from this, we are also making sure that we protect our 'kababayans' in times of disasters and obstacles. When we say protection, it's not only a physical thing because being protected also comes in other aspects.  

     When the word 'protektado' or protected comes to mind, I always associate it with insurance. I guess, it's because I have parents who have introduced me to different kinds of insurance when I was growing up. Being insured is important nowadays because we cannot predict what calamities or problems that we will encounter everyday. Just recently, one million Filipinos officially joined the country’s rally to be a fully-insured nation as Cebuana Lhuillier—the Philippines’ leading microfinancial company—provides free microinsurance through its National Pilipino Protektado Day campaign.      Helping Filipinos be more disaster-resilient and prepared against various calamities, Cebuana Lhuillier has declared July 21 as the National Pilipino Protektado Day as part of the company’s advocacy to build disaster-resilient communities and help the Insurance Commission achieve its vision of protecting 80% of the Filipinos with microinsurance by 2020. 

     In partnership with Pioneer Insurance and with the help of various public and private organizations, free microinsurance were given out across the Philippines, prioritizing the most vulnerable communities, families and individuals from the marginalized sector.

“For the past years, we’ve been constantly just introducing new and innovative products and services to the public to be able to help them be financially included. This time, with our National Pilipino Protektado Day campaign, we decided to take a bolder step and took the initiative to really touch ground with those who are most vulnerable to calamities and directly offer them free microinsurance as a new way for them to be secured,” Cebuana Lhuillier President and CEO Jean Henri Lhuillier said.

“National Pilipino Protektado Day is a great milestone in our disaster preparedness campaign. But after insuring one million Filipinos, we are on to more initiatives that will help us promote microinsurance and foster disaster resiliency. We are introducing an app, a microinsurance organization, and later on, a website--all designed to ultimately promote the welfare of Filipinos,” he said.

  • An android app that harnesses the digital mobile platform, Cebuana Alerto is designed to provide real-time vital information about disasters within the Philippines. 
  • The app was launch in Cebuana's initiative of reinforcing its disaster resilience advocacy further.
  • Equipped with an interactive technology that allows users to share updates in areas affected by any disaster, the Cebuana Alerto app features an alert system that sends notifications to the user in the event of disasters such as typhoon, earthquake, fire, and flood. 
  • It has live newsfeeds that show the latest updates from third-party government agencies including the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) and National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDDRMC) for weather updates, the Department of Education (DEPED) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for school suspension announcements, and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) for information on traffic and road conditions. It also informs the users about Cebuana Lhuillier’s various insurance products and services which they can also purchase immediately online through the app. 
  • The app also includes a "Safe Button" special feature that will automatically notify and send an “I AM SAFE” SMS message to the intended recipient about the user’s current state during a disaster. 
  • Download this app and get the latest updates from these third-party government agencies that will give important information and whereabout everyday.

Connecting donees in the Philippines and donors from all over the world through a dedicated website, this crowdfunding website further aims to provide quality insurance protection awarded to the most vulnerable sectors in the form of premium donation from socially aware enterprises.

The New SM Woman Campaign Launch

     Last June 16 2016 SM Woman invited me to an event with the theme "I am strong and confident" at the 3rd level of SM Makati. It was an evening of confidence and beauty as SM Woman launched their new campaign- 'I am SM Woman.' This was a three-day event where the new and improved look of SM Woman debuts in a glamorous fashion show. 

    For day three, I've witnessed how SM Woman empowered ladies fashion as they now cater to all shapes and sizes. Hooray for a more strong and confident SM Woman. Think you know what SM Woman is all about? Think again. SM Woman now caters to every woman in a way that it never has before – from day to night, every season and every occasion.      FUN FACT: Half of my closet is composed mainly of SM Woman tops and dresses. I love this brand because of the selection, fit, and price. I'm proud to say that I am SM Woman. Product Review: L'Oreal Color Riche La Palette Nude Photos and Swatches

     Hello dearies! I'm so excited to share with you my second eye shadow palette review to date. If you're a long time reader of this blog prolly you know that applying eye shadow/s is one of my weaknesses when it comes to makeup application. I only apply color on my lids if I really need to show a pop of color especially when attending events like weddings and debuts. Why until now I can't get the hang of it? I don't know how to blend properly. I only rely on diagrams when  I apply eye shadows, applying one or two colors to be exact.

     During the launch of L'Oreal Color Riche La Palette Nude eye shadows, I told myself that this is the right time to practice the art of eye shadow application because the eye shadow palettes are simply beautiful and wearable, perfect for beginners and for those who always go for that 'no makeup' makeup look. I'll practice how to blend using both palettes and once I'm getting the hang of it, I'll be sharing my FOTD (face of the day) here. instructions for use: Step 1: Start with the lightest shade. Apply to the lid with the foam brush. Blend outwards toward the corner with the bristle side.
Step 2: Using the same side, add a medium shade to the crease area.
Step 3: Then use the foam side to apply the darkest shade along the base of the upper and lower lashes. Blend toward the corners.

What I like:

  • The packaging- it's in classy black and sleek case with full mirror.
  • The price- I find it very affordable because there are 10 shades in one palette. 
  • I can say that it's pretty pigmented even without primer.
  • It's easy to apply.
  • Blends smoothly on my eyelids.
  • The shades are perfect for every day makeup. 
  • The shades will suit Asian skin tone since its mostly composed of warm shades. I also like that it's a combination of two textures- matte and shimmery. 

What I don't like:

  • No shade names.
  • I find the brush so-so. 

Will I repurchase? Yes for my friends and relatives since I still have two palettes to use.

Recommendation:
     I give this a 5/5 rating. It's a good palette with 10 pigmented shades that I can sport everyday. The packaging is so nice and sturdy. Accidentally dropped it twice and the shadows are still intact. Hooray for full-sized mirror too!

     For less than, 1,000 php a sleek 10 shades eye shadow palette with pretty shades for smoky, nude and no makeup look, L'Oreal Color Riche La Palette in Rosé and Beige are beginners and budget conscious makeup aficionados best friend.
