Salpingectomy

Sunday, May 27, 2012

After my short hiatus from blogging, I'm now regaining my physical strength. Do you wonder what the title of this post mean? I know right know you're going to open a new tab and google the word Salpingectomy. It's a medical term. Yes, you've read it right. It is the surgical removal of the Fallopian tube.

First of all I want to thank God for giving me the courage and all after this tedious part of my life.

I don't know that I'm in a life and death situation last week until I discovered that I'm pregnant and this is not an ordinary pregnancy. It's Ectopic meaning the embryo implants outside the uterine cavity. No symptoms no clues. Until last week after my photo shoot that I felt one of the most painful thing that I could not ever imagine. It's more painful than giving birth because like what Edward Cullen said to Bella, "It's crushing you, from the inside out". Yes, it's really crushing me like a hundred times of pregnancy labor pain plus the feeling that something is crushing my pelvic bones. I was admitted at the hospital and had two ultrasounds to make sure that I'm pregnant because my pregnancy test was negative. All of this procedure was done at the same day. It's really risky. To cut a long story short that happened on a short span of time, I lost my left Fallofian tube and an angel that could be Kenzo's new playmate.

I'm still lucky though, I have another tube and I can still get pregnant. I'm thankful to each and everyone of you- my husband, my son, my relatives and friends who keeps on praying for my safety. Now that I'm already home and waiting for my wounds to heal, I will slowly put my feet back on track with writing short posts about my backlogs. I hope everyone of you will understand.

OOTD: Mom's Day Simple Celebration

Tuesday, May 15, 2012

Belated Happy Mother's Day to all! I'm so busy lately hence another backlog on things to review. Please bear with me dearies, I'll promise to keep you updated after this week because I'm really busy. Family matter + some relaxing and bonding time with the hubby is scheduled this week so I'll just leave you with this post of what I wore last Mother's day.

We just made the celebration simple by going to my parents house and have dinner with them. After that we dropped by at my cousins house to welcome her because she just arrived from Doha, Qatar and will be having a short vacation here. What I wear here is the version of my love for neon accessories ever since I started collecting them. I heard that Neon is "in" so I looked inside my closet and found old accessories like this bracelet and a simple top that matches today's trend.

Product Review: Maybelline Full N' Soft Waterproof Mascara

Thursday, May 10, 2012

Hi dearies! How's your week going? Hope everything's doin' great. Pardon my lack of post because I'm feeling lazy and stressed lately but thanks to Bioessence for giving me such a wonderful time of relaxation last Tuesday. I will share that with you in a different post. Anyhoo, this review has been sitting on my blog bin for a long time now. I'm hesitant to make a review on this because my camera is acting up every time I take photos of my eyelashes. Patience is a virtue, as always. I have the pictures now so here's my take on one of Maybelline's mascara. Before I forgot, this mascara is available in the U.S. only and I hope the distributor of Maybelline products will bring it here.

I'm a late bloomer when it comes to makeup. If you remember my post about eyeliners, I also started using mascara six months ago. This is my first mascara to date and I'm lucky because my sister-in-law gave this as a "pasalubong" from the U.S. I'm not really sure if this is available here in our country now because the last time I checked Maybelline counters, only the Magnum, Cats' eye,  Stiletto and others that I forgot the name were on display. So with no further ado let me introduce to you Maybelline Full N' Soft Mascara.

What I like:
  • nice sleek simple packaging.
  • cheap if US bought, affordable for my budget.
  • great everyday mascara for an enhanced look.
  • adds thickness and fullness to my lashes.
  • my lashes feels soft and not brittle.
  • doesn't clump nor flake.
  • no stinging or irritation of my eye.
  • waterproof.
  • very easy to remove using makeup remover.
  • no shedding of lashes.
What I don't like:
  • not available in our country.
  • takes a little time to dry.
Will I repurchase? Yes, I hope this will become available soon at Maybelline counters and I'm also eyeing on False Lash Effect variant.

Recommendation:
I give this a 4.75/5 rating. With lashes like mine, this mascara makes a big difference. Just always follow simple rules in using your mascara like replace the cap tightly after use, don't use the product if your eye is infected or irritated, if the color or smell changes, ditch the product immediately.

Have you tried Maybelline mascara? What's your favorite? That's all for now. I'll be back tomorrow for some updates on my first event and I'm cooking something for you so stay tuned!

Good Times!~

OOTD: Kenzo's "ME" Time :)

Tuesday, May 01, 2012

Hi dearies! It's holiday today, I'm sure some of you are still sleeping. I hope you don't mind if I'll share another photo of me with my son. This time I'm already facing the camera. Kenzo got a new bag but it's too big for him to carry on his shoulders. The hubby was teasing him that he's a school boy that's why he's eager enough to carry the bag while posing. This photo was taken after eating dinner at SM Fairview. The hubby took this photo using his cell phone camera.
top: sleeveless racer back- greenhills

shorts: from my old black jeans- DIY

shoes: tom's inspired red flowered flats- thifted

Enjoy your holiday! Good Times!~
