Feature: Nail-a-holics Nail Salon and Spa Fisher Mall Branch

Sunday, March 23, 2014

Hello dearies! Happy Sunday to all! After being MIA for four days because I was busy preparing for Kenzo's graduation, I'm back with another feature of my go to nail salon whenever I feel the need for some nail lovin'. I'm sure you're already familiar with this nail salon because they have the most number of branches all over the metro. I was invited by Sir Ogie- PR for Nailaholics during their Fisher Mall branch opening but I wasn't not able to make it that day. So when me and my sister had a spare time to pamper our nails, we went to this newly opened branch. For those who have no idea about Nailaholics, here's a little info on their beach themed nail salon.
What marks a Nailaholics experience is its serene ambiance inspired by affluent coastal communities, like The Hamptons. Each store is defined by blue-painted walls accentuated with white furniture and marine-inspired decor. The softly-cushioned sofa chairs seat their guests comfortably and the cozy homey atmosphere let the guests drift to sleep; leaving them to the care of highly trained nail technicians.
Step into your coastal home in the city and indulge in a deluxe nail spa experience in your urban oasis, Nailaholics Nail Salon and Spa. Excited to see the nail polish shades that me and my sister picked? Click CONTINUE READING to find out! I'm sure you'll love the shade that I picked :)

Feature: Nail Cocktales Hand and Foot Spa "A Getaway from the City within the City"

Tuesday, March 11, 2014

Last January, I was invited to witness another great place where nail aficionados can relax and have some me time. Who doesn't want to get pampered while waiting from someone whose also busy doing some me time with his ride. Didn't get the picture? Well, I'm talking about a situation where the boyfriend/hubby needs to fix or buy something for his car while the girlfriend/wife needs to get her nails done. I'm sure you already know that Banawe is a car parts/accessories heaven. So if he needs to buy or fix something there and she needs to have a mani and pedi sesh, then Nail Cocktales Hand and Foot Spa is the perfect destination for her :) This salon is only a street away from Banawe so ladies let your guy get busy with his car while you get cozy at Nail Cocktales Hand and Foot Spa!

Nail Cocktales Hand and Foot Spa is located at TCC Center D. Tuazon Quezon City. Upon entering the gorgeous salon, imported and organic nail polishes welcomed me at the reception. I went gaga over the wide selection of imported premium nail polishes in display. They offer nail polishes from Essie, Orly and Misa while Jennifer Lynn and Cuccio for the gel polish. Are you excited to see what services and nail polish brands that I've tried for my pedicure and NOTD? Click CONTINUE READING to find out!

NOTD: Closest Shade to Radiant Orchid

Tuesday, December 31, 2013

According to Pantone, the color of the year 2014 is Radiant Orchid. It is describes as “An enchanting harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones, Radiant Orchid inspires confidence and emanates great joy, love and health. It is a captivating purple, one that draws you in with its beguiling charm.”

I'm pretty sure you've seen this nail polish color from my past post. This NOTD is courtesy of EzFlow TruGel Nail Polish Launch at the Nail Lounge Manila last October. My apologies for the late post. I just wanted to share with you the closest shade of  Radiant Orchid on my nails. The color of this gel polish from EzFlow TruGel is Frosted Amethyst. I so love this shade on my nails. It looks very dainty and neat. The shimmer adds life to the color in my opinion that's why the shade didn't look boring on my nails.

NOTD: Just Peachy

I can't think of a good post title because the nail polish that I used here doesn't have a name at all. Have you seen or heard the brand BNC? The nail attendant said that it's a Korean brand of nail polish and nothing seems special with it. I think it's considered as a regular brand in Korea like Bobbie or Caronia. Why I choose this color? Out of dozen bold and bright colors to choose from, I still want to see my finger nails painted with sheer nude, pink or peach polish. I describe this color as a muted pink with lots of peach in it.  If I'll compare it to Orly Silk Stockings that I posted HERE, this one is bolder and more pigmented, the peach shade is more dominant than pink. Geez,  I sucked at describing colors so I hope you can help me make a better description by commenting below :)

By the way, my apologies if the photo is grainy and the lighting is not good. I just used my cell phone's camera to take this photo. I forgot to bring my cam during my visit to Nailaholics Sm Fairview branch last week together with my sister. We had our spa bonding sesh c/o the gift certificates that I got from the #NailaholicsGateway branch opening event. What we did that day? We had our hand and foot paraffin with manicure and pedicure.

I'm sure you're going to ask me why I didn't choose imported nail polishes like Orly, O.P.I or China Glaze? The cheapskate in me dominated that day. I insisted to my sister that we need to use the exact amount of the gift certificates nothing more or less. So we stick to this brand because it's free! Hahaha :)

I'll be posting another NOTD this weekend and this time, it's not your ordinary nail polish. It's like a nail sticker/decals. Thanks for visiting and hope you like my post! Happy long weekend dearies! ^_^

Good Times!

NOTD: Pretty in Pastel

Sunday, August 04, 2013

Yay to my 2nd NOTD post! I enjoy looking at  my colored finger nails again despite that it will chip after 3 days from the day I painted it with gorgeous colors. I'm not blaming the nail polish that I used, it's the dish washing liquid and detergent powder soap that I use everyday. Despite this love-hate relationship that I'm dealing with my polished fingernails, I'm still happy that I can show you pretty shades that I discovered recently.

To tell you honestly, I'm going gaga over bold and pretty shades of nail polishes that I saw during the Seche Polish Launching and Intimate Spa Party at Lulu Nails and Dry Bar. But I'm not used to it so instead choosing bold shades, I picked a lighter color and didn't expected that it will turn out as a pretty pastel once applied on the nails. The shade that I chose from Seche High Intensity Colors Nail Polish is Prim and Proper.

My apologies if I wasn't able to take a photo of the nail polish bottle, I totally forgot it because of my fascination to this shade. I'm a bit lame on describing colors but I dubbed it as milky lilac. Please ignore the untrimmed cuticles on my finger nails, I just let it stay there since it's barely visible in person.

So did you find this color pretty? I'm not expecting this shade to be this pretty but upon application, voila! My hands looked young and girly. Hehehe!

That's it for now, hope you like this post. Just comment below what shades of nail polish your expecting on my next NOTD. Have a blessed Sunday everyone!

Good Times!~

NOTD: My Nails But Better (MNBB)

Sunday, July 21, 2013

And because I already went to 2 spa parties, I think I have enough reasons now to make a Nail of the Day post (NOTD). I already mused my experience on Nailaholics Gateway Mall Cubao branch opening on this post #NailaholicsGateaway. Just click the link if you want to see what happened during the sparty that I attended with Aya of Codename Aya. I really had a blast during the event. I can't imagine I went home with my colored finger nails. Finally after all these years, I was convinced to paint my nails again. If you're a long time reader of my blog, I presume that you know I'm a stay-at-home mom and I'm hands-on with my son. I clean the bottles and wash some of our clothes. Because of this, I veered away from buffing and painting my nails with bright or even neutral colors. I only cut them when they grow and that's it. I remember an incident where I had my nails polished the night before my bridal photo shoot then I cleaned my son's feeding bottle that same night. When I woke up the next day I saw my nail polish got chipped. Thank goodness my nail polish color that time was Tan so it's less visible in front of the naked eye.
But because I had a very nice experience with Nailaholics and love the color selection of their nail polishes, I must say from now on I will regularly do a NOTD post! I hope you're all excited as I do. So let's start with my first entry :) I choose this color because I wanted something sheer. I never expected this color to be My-Nails-But-Better shade until it was applied on my fingers nails.

Thank you so much Aya for this photo :)

NOTD: China Glaze in Velvet Bow

Tuesday, July 31, 2012

Yay finally! My first Nail of the Day post :D This nail polish came from the Let It Snow Holiday 2011 Collection. I did not purchase the entire collection. This is included from the Everyday Essentials Loot that I won from The Beauty Junkee.

But first I will show you how my nails looks like without nail polish... I tried using the nail polish weeks ago but the application was very messy! I tried it thrice but it looks disgusting. I don't know what happened to its consistency because it had changed a bit. So I decided to go at my parents house and asked my sister Kc to do the NOTD for me.

I'm glad that she said Yes but this response took two weeks hence the delayed post. So here it is, China Glaze Velvet Vow in my sister's nails. I really envy the shape of her nails! It's obvious that she's the type who always take serious time grooming it. Unlike mine that is short and doesn't have a decent shape at all :(

Pardon the chipped edges I forgot to tell her a while ago that I'm going to take a picture of her nails. She was doing the laundry when I visited my parents house. But still, the color looks great. The color looks vampy-ish :D Bella and Edward came to my mind when I saw the color on her nails.

So whatchatink? Look at those nails, Me likey the shape and length of my sister's nails. I wish I can make mine grow like that but as I've mentioned before, I'm doing my mommy duties and I have no time painting my nails on my own.

Thanks for dropping by! Hope you like this post. God Bless and stay safe guys :D

Good Times!~
