Product Review: Scott's Vitamin C Pastilles in Mixed Berries Flavor

Wednesday, February 18, 2015

As a mom, I only want the best for my son. I know all mothers will do everything just to make sure their child gets the best things life has to offer. I always make sure Kenzo eats the right kind of food, he drinks clean water and he gets added nutrition from supplements that will protect him from viruses and other harmful bacteria. I know I cannot guard him 24/7 and I don't have a telescopic sense to guard him against infections.

There are kids (including Kenzo) who refuse to take Vitamins because of the taste and other side effects associated with it. I had a share of experiences where Kenzo will spit out the vitamins after taking it. The solution to this dilemma was made possible when I met Scott's. Introducing Scott's Vitamin C Pastilles- a gummy Vitamin that is high in Vitamin C provides daily immunity support, easy to take and great for kids! Click CONTINUE READING to know more about Scott's Vitamin C Pastilles and why Kenzo loves it!

Scott's Vitamin C Pastilles in Mixed Berries Flavor

Since the day we've discovered Scott's Vitamin C Pastilles ("we" because I always let Kenzo join our grocery shopping weekly), a pouch of this gummy Vitamin C is always on my 'to-buy' list. It became a mainstay in Kenzo's medicine box. Scott's Vitamin C Pastilles Orange flavor was the first variant that he tried. He already liked the flavor after he consummates the 15 pieces pastilles in a resealable pouch.

He takes one gummy/pastille every day but there are times that he likes more! As in he wants to eat Scott's Vitamin C Pastilles now and then. I told him that he should take only one and if he eats more than 2 pastilles a day, he will have a tummy ache.

Yummy Vitamin C!

Kenzo enjoying his daily dose of Vitamin C :)

What I like:
  • The product comes in a resealable, easy to open plastic pouch.
  • Scott's Vitamin C Pastilles tastes like real berries.
  • This vitamin C is in pastille candy form that's why Kenzo likes it.
  • There's no funky odor/scent that's why Kenzo loves it.
  • There are 3 exciting flavors to choose from: Orange, Peach, and Mixed Berries
  • Scott's Vitamin C Pastilles does not contain artificial color or sweetener.
  • No stomach ache, nausea, dizziness or allergic reactions even if he takes one pastille before eating.
  • There are a batch, manufacturing and expiry date printed on the plastic pouch.
  • Easily accessible.
  • Comes in convenient sizes. There's a plastic pouch containing 30 individually wrapped pastilles that can be bought per piece in some drug stores. This one is a 15 pieces pastille in a small resealable plastic pouch. There's also a 100-gram plastic bottle that contains 50 pastilles.

What I don't like:
  • Can be addicting, I'm afraid he'll eat all the pastilles in one sitting.

Will I purchase? Yes, this is Kenzo's daily source of Vitamin C

Recommendation:
I give a 4.75/5 rating. Whoever invented this gummy Vitamin C is a genius! Letting my son take his vitamin C every day is fuss free! No spilling and no begging scene like "please take your vitamins, blah, blah, blah" I know that I should consider giving him vitamins from the natural sources like fruits and vegetables and yes that's in the process already. This vitamin C is handy and I'm at peace because it has no artificial coloring and no sweetener that can make my pre-schooler hyperactive.

What's your child's source of vitamin C? To my mommy readers, have you tried Scott's Vitamin C Pastilles? Share your experience in the comment section below :)

  1. How I wish we had this back when I was a kid! :D The first time I heard about this, I was really impressed! Making kids take in their daily Vit C can now be easier and a lot more enjoyable. Yun lang, since parang jelly candy, addicting talaga. >.< Anyway, will be recommending this to my Tita. I'm sure my nephews will love this!

  4. My daughter is 2 years old and we're literally fighting every day every time I'm giving her daily dose of her vitamin c (ceelin). Most of the time she spit it out and I'm so frustrated and worried at the same time. I don't have any problem with her eating habits, she ate veggies, fish and meat but she doesn't like fruits where she can get Vitamin C.I'm so thankful that I found this product. She like it very much that she's asking for more. 🀣🀣🀣 It's highly recommended my fellow momma.

    1. Hi,

For 1 pastille, they already get 100% of the RDA Vitamin C for their age. Better to follow instruction or ask your pedia just to be sure. Thanks!

    2. Hi mommy, been trying this just last August, almost empty na po ang container ngayon so nag oorder na naman ako online.. Hehe, first timer po kami sa Scott's, my two kids shared the (1) bottle we bought last month, and 60gummies yun, so probably mga 15-20days pa lang kami... AND WEVE OBSERVED NA THRY GAINED WEIGHT, MORE INTEREST ON FOOD.. NAG LALIGHT ANG SKIN..ang akin lang is, yung 6yo ko GRABEH akong nag tatrial error sa mga vits kasi, dahil napakachoosy.. Yung girl ko naman, 2yo pa naman sya and she is trained nmn nung baby pa to eat fruits n veggies, so wala lang problema.. Itong lalaki ko..grabeh.. In fact prior na na try namin to, nagshift ako ng ceelin chewable..hehhe, then my son really persuaded me to buy this, so i did.. And sobrang happy ako na nagugustuhan nila.. And may nakita😊 na improvement..praise God.
