Wellworth Department Store at Fairview Terraces

     When shopping comes in mind, there are things that I always consider like accessibility, affordability, unique fashion finds and comfort. So when Fairview Terraces opened last February, I said to myself that I'll be in shopping heaven because I'm sure they will have a department store that will showcase new and exciting finds that's beyond compare. Finally, after months of waiting, the department store that will surely be the next destination of shoppers opened its doors last April to those who want to enjoy a new level of shopping experience.

     Stores Specialists, Inc. and Ayala Land, Inc., two of the country’s leading names in lifestyle retail, joined forces to open an exciting new retail destination that is well worth everyone’s shopping trip. Wellworth department store is the maiden venture of SIAL Specialty Retailers, Inc., a subsidiary of Stores Specialists, Inc. (SSI), and Varejo Corp., a subsidiary of Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI). 

     Wellworth, a value-based, mid-market department store chain, aims to tap into the country’s growing market of aspirational yet price-conscious shoppers. It is distinguished by state-of-the-art store design, helpful and engaging customer service, a wide range of international, local, and exclusive brands and affordable prices. Featuring 15,000 square meters of selling space, the store carries a wide range of children's, men's, ladies', cosmetics, and home selections geared for modern Filipino families. Each floor has a distinct shopping experience that brings new excitement to basics and lifestyle shopping.      I was invited by Mommy Bloggers Philippines to join them in an afternoon of Wellworth department store tour. If you're wondering why mommy bloggers, well it is because we'll be highlighting Wellworth's Children's Fair this whole month of September. But in order to make our visit more exciting and fun, we toured the whole Wellworth department store from third to the first level.

     First up the fourth level which features the home section in which various themed areas create a store-within-a-store concept. Each themed area has its own color palette and design element, which creates that feeling of shopping several shops under one, free-flowing environment. Their home section is the place where stylish and practical domestic design and storage solutions are available for your fancy.

     Aside from furniture, you can also find native products and religious relics in the home section. I saw fashionable bags, pouches, shoes, sandals and slippers made of rattan and buntal. 

     Coming from the Rustan's legacy of excellent customer service, Wellworth offers sincerely helpful and engaging customer service. Customers are encouraged to explore on their own, with friendly associates nearby should the need arise for assistance. Wellworth also offers a wide array of services to include Gift Registry, Gift Wrapping, Alterations, Foreign Exchange, and Bills Payment.

     Long lines will make you feel irritated, a piece of advice to my fellows from Fairview, pay your bills at Wellworth customer service section! Save time and energy too because you'll feel comfortable while paying- no long queue and the ambiance is very posh. I like the color combination of this department store because it's posh and classy.

      Wellworth also has its own loyalty card program called the Shine Card. The Shine card is a customer's pass to exclusive benefits and privileges reserved for members. Customers earn points with each purchase, and points can be converted to gift certificates that can be used to purchase merchandise in-store. Other benefits include the use of the VIP lounge, exclusive promos and sales, and special events

     There are so many things to look for when you're here at the home section of Wellworth department stores. For the scented candle lovers, there's a wide range of candles with different sizes, shapes and of course relaxing scents.

  The second level features the ladies' and teens' section. The ladies' section is characterized by a relaxed environment that encourages exploration and discovery. Highlight walls, LED backlit images and unexpected elements provide additional excitement to the standard displays. The teens' section features an appealing combination of "rough" and "cool" materials, such as a concrete or brick wall combined with aged elements to create a rough vintage world; an environment that caters to youthful sensibilities.

     As we pass by the women's section, I noticed that they have a unique fitting room. The rooms we're designed in accordance to the theme of the store or in what section you are. Yay, this one is new to me. I'll be inside that fitting room next week, excited to go shopping while looking at these photos!

     The ladies section also offers a wide array of branded and in house brand of bags and clutches. Those jelly colorful jelly shopping bags caught my eyes. It's my first time to see those bags, perfect for summer and rainy season!

    I've been dreaming of owning a pair of New Balance kicks so when I saw that Wellworth carries that brand I said to myself that "you're next on my wishlist". Arts and crafts section is also situated in this area. For the DIY lovers, you can find unique stuff here! You must visit this section, most of the materials for scrapbooking and other art supplies are very affordable.

     My apologies for a blurry photo of the jewelry section, I wasn't able to take a clear shot because of lighting issue. But I suggest you visit this section because I saw affordable jewelries perfect for your formal and evening wear.

Women's section: Party dresses, Gowns (RSVP), 

     The third level opens up at the Ladies floor where a wide-range of local and foreign brands cater to tasteful lifestyles. A wide range of exclusive private label brands, together with popular international brands, such as F&F, Tokyo Laundry, and Thai lingerie line Sabina can be found side-by-side with local brands Bayo and Kamiseta. Viktor Jeans, widely-known for its premium custom jeans, has introduced its first RTW line, VIK, which is geared for a more price conscious market.

Women's section: Intimate wear, swim wear, dresses and accessories

     I know it's very early to think of white sandy beaches but when I saw these swimwear on display, summer will be exciting and worth waiting for. I will not worry about bathing suits because they have designs that will suit most body types. Those comfy dresses are also perfect for summer!

Women's section: Office wear, bags and clutches, accessories

     Office wear should be stylish and comfortable without the hefty tag. Working girls unite! This section will give you the fresh styles perfect for work during the day and of course you can dress down to party at night.

     Wellworth department store offers a lot of shoe brands that you will not find in other department stores. I saw Feretti, Hal and in house brand like We Are Young. So to all the shoe lovers out there, you'll go gaga when you visit this section. I'm sure you'll be carrying not one but two or more shoe boxes home!

     The Men’s floor dominates the second level with fresh international apparel brands F&F of UK, Saville Row, Swiss brand Tally Weijl, footwear brands XTI and Aerosoft and leading athletic labels Nike and Adidas. The men's section has a distinctly masculine and rugged feel. Sharing the level is the Cosmetic department, which houses the dominant brands in beauty.

     The Children’s Floor welcomes shoppers to a thrilling array of toys and apparel from exclusive Wellworth children’s wear brands Princess by Wellworth, Tutu Much by Mandy dela Rama Santos, and private children’s wear label Hugs and Kisses.

     Kenzo was so excited to go here! He was giddy to roam around and look for new toys that he'll be adding to his collection. We saw brands that we've never seen before like the National Geographic Microscope Set, Pinypon Car and the Nano Blocks. 

     The children's section also offers uber cute clothes for boys and girls! This section is perfect for kid's shopping because of the ambiance where light colors and wood create a calm and serene atmosphere.  Abstracted images of clouds and trees give a dreamy atmosphere to this wonderland for children.

     Wellworth pricing is comparable to leading department stores in the country. Everyday affordable prices are complemented with various promotions on a regular basis. Buy 1 Take 1 specials, price off, introductory discounts, gift with purchase, purchase with purchase are just some of the exciting deals that shoppers can expect to find.     With the opening of the first Wellworth store in the country, expect the retail scene to heat-up as customers are introduced to a fresh concept that's well worth the wait.
