FERN-C kidz: Top 3 Things Not to Skimp on Parenting

Monday, May 28, 2018

As the years pass by, the word 'parenting' sinks in. Now I know the meaning of what my mama told me when I was a child. She would always tell me "pag naging nanay ka na, maiintindihan mo din bakit ganito, bakit ganyan" (when you become a mother too, you'll understand why this, why that). Now that I'm a mother, I've come to realize why these three things are very important for my son's overall wellness.

As a mother, I will always do my best to protect my son from everything that may harm or put him at risk. However, no matter how prepared I am, there are just some things I cannot see when it comes to my son. That's why as early as now, there are three things that I do not want to scrimp on when it comes to parenting. Read more about what are the things that I will not skimp on for my son.

1. Not to Skimp on Time

Time is very important and not all have the luxury of time to do the things they want every day. Since I'm a stay at home mom, I always make sure to manage my time and set a daily routine for all the things I do at home.

Household chores like cleaning the entire house, the bathroom, and laundry are scheduled on a once a week basis. I'm with my son most of the time that's why I see to it that we eat all our meals together. There's a time for bonding also scheduled one a week either eating out, shopping for new stuff, or doing our grocery shopping. I will always make sure to give all the time that I have for my son because I know that when he's a teenager, that "time" will not be 100% at home.

2. Not to Skimp on Education

Education is another important thing that I don't want to skimp on for my son. If budget permits, I want him to study in a private school where the setting is a low student to teacher ratio. In my opinion, the school environment is a factor that helps in developing a child's character.

I will also not refuse my son to have extra-curricular activities like hobbies or sports that will develop his skills and talents. If there's a swimming class or a music elective, I will encourage him to join and enjoy have fun learning.

3. Not to Skimp on Health

As cliche as it sounds, "Health is wealth". It is an investment that I need not skimp especially for my son's overall wellness. If he's healthy, then I will not worry. As much as possible, my husband who is the chef in the house cooks nutritious meals every day. We buy fresh meats and vegetable and avoid using seasonings in food preparation.

I also make sure that we still go to my son's pediatrician for his monthly checkup so that there will be continuous monitoring guided by a medical practitioner. During our last visit, my son's pediatrician prescribed a new multivitamin and vitamin c. When it comes to buying vitamins and supplements, I don't skimp.

There are different brands of medicines and supplements that are on display inside my son's pedia clinic. I saw FERN-C kidz in one of the shelves and yes she's recommending this brand of Vitamin C to all the parents. When buying a vitamin c brand make sure to ‘Silipin ang C’ because not all vitamins c are created equal. Always check the quality of the vitamin c you give your kids.

FERN- kidz is a Sodium Ascorbate syrup for kids with the same vitamin C used in FERN-C, the #1 Sodium Ascorbate vitamin C.

My son is a certified FERN-C kidz user. He's been on this brand for more than six months now. I'm happy that I don't skimp on these three things that are important for my child's overall development. I will not skimp on time, education, and health because I know that investing in these things will give my son a better future.

  1. Got a sample of fern-c kidz early this year and since hindi pa sya puede sa age ni Zophie. Ako yung uminom, sabi ng pedia nya puede naman daw sa akin, 1 tbsp a day 😂😂 masarap sya! Para syang lasa nung orange candy na uso dati nung bata pa ko pero di ko na maalala yung pangalan.

    1. Hi Francia,

Aww, you're welcome :) Let me know if na-try mo na ha. Yes, mas okay ang non-acidic kasi yung ibang kids sensitive and stomach eh.
