Product Review: ATC Fish Oil

Do you have a family member who has elevated or high cholesterol results in their recent or past laboratories? Have you seen them take medication to lower their cholesterol? Since Filipinos love to eat, there are times that we forgot that we devour on foods that's high in bad cholesterol. B-A-D cholesterol to be exact because there's also a good cholesterol in our body.

I will not be talking about the good cholesterol here but more of the bad cholesterol. According to medicinenet.com
LDL cholesterol: Low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, commonly referred to as 'bad' cholesterol. Elevated LDL levels are associated with an increased risk of heart disease. Lipoproteins, which are combinations of fats (lipids) and proteins, are the form in which lipids are transported in the blood.
So this kind of cholesterol is risky and if one cannot control the amount of LDL cholesterol in the body, he or she may just fall down and have heart attack. Of course we don't want that to happen, right? There are many supplements that can help maintain good cholesterol level in our body and one of them is ATC Fish Oil which my father has been taking for years now. Read more of our review below :)

For my father, his cardiologist prescribed to take it once a day after breakfast

What my father like:
  • It's an all-natural food supplement. Less synthetic medicine for my father which I also like.
  • The price- it's very affordable!
  • The packaging is simple. It's convenient since we can buy it by pieces, in blister packs (30 capsules) or in a bottle (100 capsules).
  • It's in soft gel form which is absorbed faster than the regular capsule or tablet medicines.
  • His laboratory results show a normal cholesterol level.
  • I'm after the cardiovascular health of my father and his cardiologist said that fish oils can help.
  • Easily accessible.
  • Batch, manufacturing and expiry date printed on the packaging.

What my father doesn't like:
  • The size- it's bigger than the size of calcium. It's hard to swallow.
  • It has a fishy scent.

Will he repurchase: Yes, it's his maintenance supplement for cardiovascular health.

Recommendation:
I give this a 5/5 rating. ATC is a trusted brand of supplements and has received numerous awards these past ten years in the market. I'm also considering taking this supplement not only for heart health but for the skin. Some say that taking fish oil can make the skin shiny and supple. Well, I still have to try it for myself.

If you want to take this supplement, kindly consult a medical professional first. I always advise my readers to ask their doctors even if it's just a supplement because there may be other contraindications for people who are under maintenance drugs.

Have you tried taking fish oils?

Good Times!~

    1. Hi,

How many mg does your OB required? Ask her first so that you'll know the right dosage. There are 360,500,950, and 1000 mg available in the market. Though I'm not sure if this brand is okay for pregnant women.
