My Beautiful Moments with Papalitz

Friday, July 24, 2015

"Nothing is permanent in this world but change".  I grew up with a bountiful life. I have parents who unconditionally give me what I wanted. New pair of shoes, bags, mobile phones, and large amounts of money but these material things are just temporal things that look beautiful 'outside'. I have few beautiful moments with my parents that I can say 'truly beautiful'. Moments that will leave special memories in my heart.

My Beautiful Moments with Papalitz
My mom Opel and dad Lito. We fondly call him Papalitz

Years have passed and my parents are aging. I’m so busy with my life and I forgot time is running out. That’s why I need to make beautiful moments now. These are little things in life like family bonding, running hospital errands for my dialysis patient father, and saying thank you to them every day. I think I’ve been making beautiful moments with my dad lately. I know it’s never too late to make beautiful moments with him. He’s getting weak because of kidney failure. There will be a time that we need to face the reality of other complications. He’s aging and it’s inevitable. But those beautiful moments will make him strong and will give him peace of mind. I don’t know until when the dialysis treatment can sustain his life but all I know now is I have been making beautiful moments with him from simple birthday celebrations that we always celebrate with my family, relatives, and friends.

My Beautiful Moments with Papalitz
My father 3 years ago. He is 51 years old and looks like his true age.

Accompanying him during his dialysis treatment and spoon-feeding him even if he can eat on his own. Assisting him when he is walking in the streets. Holding his hands and guiding him every time his eye sight becomes blurry. These are the beautiful moments that I have with my father now. No expensive gifts and material things, just pure, plain simple happiness. These are the things that matters most now because time is of the essence so I need to spend it with him.
My Beautiful Moments with Papalitz
My father at 54. 3 years of battle with Chronic Kidney Disease. Look how this illness took away his physique, physical appearance, and all. This photo was taken last week during his dialysis treatment.

I’m also taking into consideration on how to share with my father the things that will delay aging. My father is only 54 years old and by looking at his photos, he looks like a senior citizen. This is a reality that when one has a chronic disease and is in pain, his/her physical appearance will degenerate. As a beauty blogger, I know that collagen and hyaluronic acid supplements will help, lessen, and slow down the aging of the skin. I’ve read somewhere that there are supplements that can increase longevity. We’re not after smooth and beautiful skin but that will be a bonus. If taking other supplements that will give my father longer life, I’ll give it a shot.

Collagen drinks are said to be the secret for longevity and beauty of Japanese people, who are known for their smooth skin and youthful appearance. Collagen drinks are, in fact, very popular in China and South Korea.

Premium HyC 150, developed by FINE Japan Co. Ltd., is now available in the Philippines. Premium HyC 150 is unique because it is the only supplement drink that has the optimal combination of active anti-aging ingredients such as:

  • hyaluronic acid
  • collagen
  • ubiquinol

Premium HyC 150 has other benefits that go beyond skin care and a rejuvenated, more youthful look. To maximize the benefits of collagen, one important element, hyaluronic acid, has to be present. At least 50 percent of hyaluronic acid in our body can be found in our skin. Premium HyC 150 contains 150 mg of hyaluronic acid, the optimal dosage to replenish the body of this essential nutrient. Hyaluronic acid acts as space filler by binding to water and keeps the skin wrinkle-free. It lubricates joints, ligaments and connective tissues. It also hydrates surrounding tissue and keeps the collagen nourished and healthy.

This drink is perfect for my parents and for me too! There are simple things that I've learned about my family and the beautiful moments I have with them. The material things that I have in life right now are not important, what matters most is that we are complete and my parents are still here with me. I'm happy that my life has changed from a spoiled brat to a more mature and responsible daughter for my father and my family.

Premium HyC 150, exclusively distributed in the Philippines by BrightRAY Enterprises, is now available at Watsons stores.

  2. This is a great post and a good reminder to take care of our moments together. We are dealing with something similar right now and it's too easy to get caught up in the activity and forget to cherish the people and the moments.
