Product Review: Natura Organics Himalayan Mud 21-in-1 Soap

Monday, July 21, 2014

If my memory serves me right, three years ago I had a hatred feeling against a certain black soap. It's not the black bleaching bar that I've tried from one of the famous brand of organic skin care products in our country today. Yes, it's a face and body soap that left a terrible effect on my face. The thing that irks me most is that it's organic. I have high expectations on that soap because before I get hold of it, I've seen positive reviews on their website and some beauty blogs. I really never expected that the "good" would turn so bad as in so so bad in my case.

So to end a long story short, after that experience I veered away from that brand. If you're adventurous with soaps I'm sure you can guess what kind of soap I'm saying here. I will not mention the brand, past is past and I've buried that sad experience. But today, I want to share a good news  :) I never thought that my fear of using a black-colored soap with ingredients that I'm not familiar with will turn into a delight. I think I want to rejoice because I've tried a black soap that didn't burn my face (this was the terrible effect that I have mentioned above) and made my skin healthy looking. Excited to find out why I'm raving a black soap today? Click CONTINUE READING to see my thoughts on Natura Organics Himalayan Mud 21-in-1 Soap :)

What I like:
  • It's organic.
  • The packaging is simple and loaded with information.
  • Sealed in a plastic wrapper to guarantee freshness.
  • The scent- there's a hint of sweetness that's not overpowering.
  • The soap is bigger in size compared to other organic soaps that I've tried.
  • Lathers well.
  • It's loaded with skin beautifying and detoxifying ingredients.
  • Made my skin soft and smooth.
  • It lessened the oiliness on my t-zone.
  • It doesn't dry my skin.
  • Exfoliates very well.
  • Doesn't melt fast.
  • I feel a stinging sensation and tightening of my pores every time I use the soap.
  • There's a lightening on my blemishes, particularly on dried zits.
  • My skin looks luminous when I look in the mirror.
  • No irritation, breakouts or whatsoever.
What I don't like:
  • A bit pricey for cheapskates like me and for those who have a tight budget.
  • Not easily accessible.
  • No manufacturing and expiration date printed on the box.
Will I repurchase? Yes!

Recommendation:
I give this soap a 4.75/5 rating. Use the soap as instructed. If irritation occurs, discontinue use. Always use sunblock with spf 30 or higher to protect your skin from the sun. Organic soap does not contain any soap hardener and our hot humid weather will make the soap melt faster. But this one doesn't melt fast that's why I really like it! I highly recommend this soap, my skin loves it!

Good Times!~

  1. Firstly I am quite intrigued with the color. I've encountered a black soap before provided by my dermatologist and it was also made with natural products from the mountains. If this one from the Himalayan can smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, definitely my mom would be a customer! :)

  5. I have not used any beauty bar soaps on my face. I tend to go for the pumped soaps. I'm glad you found a better experience with this one. I'd be really upset if something burned my skin, especially my face after I used it.

  10. This sounds like a very interesting product. I recently watched something about beauty products in other countries all containing whitening agents. Is this correct? Although I am African American and come with a natural tan I am always trying to get more bronze so I am staying away from anything that has a whitener in it.

  20. This sounds like it may be a great product for me. I definitely need help with my skin! I never had problems as a teenager but as I age I have more breakouts now. I have some dry skin and some oily places too!. I would love something that exfoliates well and doesn't cause me to break out worse. I will definitely have to try this if I can find it here!

  21. I can't imagine if it will really benefit as a soap but if there is a mask, peel off or mud pack version of this I will want it then.
