     Digital bayanihan is about working together to create a safer, kinder, and more responsible digital environment. It reminds us that online safety isn't just an individual responsibility. Every action we take online can affect others.

     A misleading post can spread misinformation in seconds. A fraudulent link can put someone's hard-earned savings at risk. On the other hand, a simple act of fact-checking, reporting harmful content, or helping a family member recognize a scam can make a real difference.

A partnership between PLDT Home's Online Alerto and the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG), Online AlerTour brings online safety education directly to university campuses. Through interactive discussions and learning sessions, students gain practical knowledge about recognizing cyber threats, combating misinformation, and becoming responsible digital citizens.

     The program has already reached students from institutions such as Far Eastern University, Universidad de Manila, and the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, encouraging young Filipinos to become advocates for a safer and more informed online community.

     More than simply learning about cybersecurity, these students are becoming active participants in protecting the digital spaces they use every day.

Freedom in the Digital Age

     As the Philippines celebrates another year of independence, the meaning of freedom continues to evolve alongside technology.

     Today, freedom also means being able to learn, work, communicate, and express ourselves online without fear of scams, misinformation, or exploitation.
