Product Review: COVERGIRL LashBlast Fusion Mascara- Black 865

     How's your weekend? I'm suffering from skin allergies lately hence the lack of post. I can't concentrate from writing because these rashes are very itchy. Up to now I'm still having discomforts during bed time even though I already popped a pill of anti-histamine. This medicine should make me more sleepy, drowsy or groggy but I think it's not working like that.      This is my second mascara to date and let's see how will it fare to my short-thin-sparse lashes. I already found my HG mascara- Maybelline Full N' Soft but it's not available here. Boo Boo! I have no choice but to look for another mascara and this came perfect on time. But I'm hesitant at first because the brush applicator is new to me. It's not like the traditional brush type. I really had a hard time using this, but practice makes perfect. I used this several times so now here's what LashBlast Fusion to me. instruction for use: Discard bottle cap. Replace with brush and close cap completely before first use. Safeguard Purity: Always handle/apply in a careful, sanitary manner. Don't share or add anything to mascara. Treat applicator in a hygienic manner, don't reuse in a new case. Don't use if change in odor or appearance occurs. Cap tightly.

With one coat, I didn't see any difference in this photo but IRL , this mascara adds length

With two coats, it weighed down my lashes. The volumizing effect is so-so.

What I like:

• I love the color of the packaging.   
• Well sealed, manufacturing date printed on the package.
• No clumping, flaking or smudging upon use.
• Easy to remove.
• Adds length to my short lashes.
• Good for day-to-day use mascara, it's not dramatic. 
• Contains more product compared to my Maybelline Full n' Soft mascara.

What I don't like:

• Not waterproof. 
• The packaging is a bit bulky for me.
• I had a hard time using the huge brush applicator.
• Weighs my lashes after 2 coats .
• The volumizing effect is so-so.
• I find the brush applicator tricky to use.

Will I repurchase? No, I want to try a dramatic mascara since I want to achieve the falsies lashes look.

Recommendation:

     I give this a 3/5 rating. I have a love-hate relationship with this product. The moment I saw this on my loot, I said to myself that this will replace my HG mascara but I'm wrong. My first impression failed. I find this a good day-to-day mascara that gives my lashes a nice natural look. I will not recommend you to buy this because there's a lot of drug store brands that does the job. There's a lot more brand to try like Maybelline, L'oreal, Etude House and if your willing to shell out, Majolica Majorca and those high end brand like Benefit is worth a try. I'm not ready to spend on a high- end brand mascara because I always stay at home and the shelf-life of most mascara is very short. I will only end up with expired and dried up mascara.
