Into The Woods... In the Woods

To all the theater performance seekers out there, hear ye, hear ye! Into The Woods... In the Woods

A fairy tale musical by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine, Into The Woods will be presented in Manila in the garden amphitheater known as Kasalikasan, a tree-lined “living art piece” in the heart of BGC. It is one of the few instances of a venue providing the main inspiration for a show. “When we did Forbidden Broadway in Kasalikasan in May 2014, it was a huge success,” explains Joel Trinidad, Upstart founder and director of the piece. “So we started thinking about what other shows we could do here to really take advantage of this beautiful space.” The idea for Into The Woods came almost immediately. “We’ve always loved the musical,” shares Upstart Managing Director Onyl Torres, who does double duty as Vocal Coach for the present production. “So why not do it in the actual woods?”

One other way that this particular production will be unique is in its use of celebrity guests. “We’ll have a different one for each of the eight performances,” shares Torres. “But we won’t tell audiences who is performing when—it’ll be a surprise.” It is a strategy that Upstart has used before and is happy to use again. “When we did it for Forbidden Broadway, no one had ever done it before,” explains Trinidad. “Now, other theatre companies are doing the same thing!”

But after countless actors, countless directors, and countless productions all over the world—including an upcoming Disney movie—does the musical have any surprises left for Manila audiences? Trinidad believes so. “There’s always something new to discover, something new to share,” explains Trinidad. “The material is just that good.”

Upstart Productions Inc. and AVIVA present Into The Woods. 6:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays from February 21 to March 15, 2015, at Kasalikasan Garden, Crescent Park West, Bonifacio Global City. Also brought to you by Picasso Boutique Services Residences and Plana FORMA. Tickets available from Ticketworld. Call 8919999 for details.

Into The Woods is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).
All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.

Product Review: Glupa Whitening Lotion

Sunday, December 21, 2014

Hi dearies! Here's my honest to goodness review of Glupa Whitening Lotion. I've emptied the bottle of this lotion only last week because I don't use it everyday. It took me around two months because I use the lotion every other day or when I feel like using it. There are days that I prefer not to use this 'instant white/concealing' lotion because I perspire a lot if the weather is scorching hot.

I guess that's the only downside of this product if you're like me who sweat a lot. BUT the product works like magic if you really want to achieve that 'instant white skin' in minutes :) With continued use the product does not only gives that 'instant white effect' because it does lighten and whiten dark marks. It also contains anti-aging ingredients that I'm sure those who have tight budget will surely like this product as it functions as 2-in-1 (whitening and anti-aging) lotion in a bottle. Watch My Big Bossing in Cinemas this December 25!

Go my bossing, go my big bossing! This song is swirling in my head over and over again. The lyrics is very easy to remember and the beat will make someone stamp his/her feet. It's Christmas season and the most awaited movie of the year will be shown in cinemas 5 days from now. I grew up watching Vic Sotto's Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry every year that's why I believe this movie will give joy and laughter to everyone like what the past entries did. I'm sure you've seen spoilers from television this past few days and saw child stars Ryzza Mae Dizon and Alonzo Mulach (son of Nino Mulach) plugging the movie in national television.

It's a no brainer that Vic Sotto's movie is for the children and that's what Christmas is all about. Children of all ages, even the adolescents, the mature and the senior citizens are all invited to watch this year's entry by the big bossing himself Vic Sotto. I will just give a little spoiler about the movie because I want everyone to enjoy watching it in cinemas with the whole family. Product Review: Mischka Derma Secret Milky White Soap

Friday, December 19, 2014

Hi dearies! I think everyone is soo excited for Christmas and busy with parties and gatherings. I just want to squeeze in this review that's been sitting my blog dashboard for weeks now. Mischka Derma Secret sent me 3 bars of their milky white soap. If my memory serves me right, this is my first time reviewing a whitening soap that is goat's milk and glutathione combined. Before I forgot, goat's milk is also considered one of the effective whitening soap variant for sensitive skin.

I presume you already know that some celebrities immerse themselves in a tub of milk. I can still recall that in one of the pages from my history book says that one of Cleopatra's beauty secret was milk bath. It's so luxurious, right? Good thing there are variant of soaps that contains goat's milk and glad to know that Mischka Derma Secret formulated this soap in combination with glutathione. So without further ado, here's my honest to goodness review of Mischka Derma Secret Milky White Soap after finishing a bar in 4 weeks. Click CONTINUE READING now!
