     Last June 4, 2018, we had an advanced birthday celebration of my son in Hong Kong for 3 days 2 nights stay with a full day itinerary at Ocean Park. I've been to Hong Kong for thrice already and there are still so many exciting places to see. My first visit was when I was three months pregnant with my son then another trip followed on my 6th month where we visited Hong Kong Disneyland.

      We booked a different hotel this time unlike the first and second visit because the accommodation was included with the airfare that my husband booked from a travel agency. On our third visit (my son's first), I DIY our booking and customized it so we can have our own time. After searching for a hotel that is easy on the budget and near the MRT station, I finally found the one that I will recommend to family and friends- Caritas Bianchi Lodge. Caritas Bianchi Lodge

     Caritas Bianchi Lodge is only 35-40 minutes by car/taxi from the Hong Kong International Airport, located along Nathan Road and a 5-minute walk to Yau Ma Tei MRT station. It's situated at the center of the town that is easy to locate and has a quiet neighborhood at night even though it was surrounded by commercial establishments like restaurants, convenience stores, and mini groceries. There is a 7 Eleven, McDonald's, Yoshinoya and Mannings nearby that's why buying snacks and other essentials during our trip were hassle-free.

     The reception area is quite big. The hotel staffs speak English so don't worry about miscommunication. I presented our booking confirmation upon check-in and paid a refundable security deposit of $300 Hong Kong Dollars. We had an early check-in time so we can leave our luggage in our room.

     Upon entering the room, the first thing I noticed was the size. It's surprisingly big considering that I only booked for a standard twin room. There's a spacious dresser with hangers, room slippers, extra pillows and safe inside. The restroom is across the dresser with a separate cubicle for toilet and shower. It's clean and well-lit. I like the design of the washbin because there's a big mirror behind the faucet. Don't expect too much when it comes to complimentary toiletries as they only have a toothbrush with mini toothpaste, shower caps, and hand soap near the wash area.

     It has a hot and cold shower faucet and a body soap/shampoo dispenser near the shower handle. The showerhead reminds me of our bathroom.

     They have an electronic kettle, free water bottles, and a set of coffee and tea for the guests. There's also a mini-fridge to keep your drinks cold.

     The room was big enough for the three of us. There were two beds- a single and double one that we pushed together to turn into one queen size bed. The comforter was fluffy and the pillows were soft. We had a comfortable sleep and did not complain of body aches upon waking up.

     There was a mini lounge area inside where you can relax and see the quiet view from the window. A small park with lots of trees can be seen outside the window. This photo was taken around three in the afternoon hence the bright flash of light.

      I like that there's a work station/desk with office chair beside the LCD tv though I did not bring my laptop on this trip. This became my vanity area where I placed my makeup and other things.

     Kenzo enjoyed the wide space inside our room where he assembled his Thomas and Friends train tracks that he bought in one of the Toys R Us store in Kowloon. All in all, we had a great and comfortable stay in this hotel. It has a great location and accessible to all things Hong Kong. It's a walking distance going to Mong Kok, Temple Street, and Tsim Tsa Tsui. The rate for a one-night stay depends on the date of stay and usually ranges from P2,000+++
