Product Review: Goodal Keratina Anti-Aging Double Serum Light

     Taking care of aging skin is not a walk in the park. You have to address different skin care issues in the aging department. Think of wrinkles, premature wrinkles, uneven skin tone, rough and dry texture, sagging skin, sunspots, melasma, and others that need to be taken care of seriously.

     I started incorporating anti-aging products into my skin care routine in my early 30's. I've tried a handful of products from cleansers, moisturizers, serums, masks, and eye creams from the local and international brand and I can say that the more religious I apply these products, the more I see the effects. When it comes to hydrating the skin, I only use either moisturizing gel or serum. My current fave is Goodal Keratina Anti-Aging Double Serum Light which I'll be reviewing below :)

instructions for use: Shake the bottle until the water and oil are mixed completely. Use this as moisturizer alone or in the serum application step of your skincare routine. Apply an appropriate amount and gently pat to promote absorption in the skin.

L- Two serums in one bottle (seed oil and raspberry extract) R- They mixed together after shaking the bottle.

     According to Goodal's website, this serum comes in original and light variant. So if you have extremely dry skin, your best bet would be the original one as the consistency is thicker and will give more hydration to dry skin. The serum light has lighter consistency- clear seed oil at top and raspberry extract at the bottom.

Runny and oily consistency but so light once applied.

     It's advisable to shake the product well before dispensing. I like the frosted glass packaging of this serum. There's a pump for easy dispensing of product and cap to keep it fresh. One full pump is enough for my entire face. I also love the fact that this serum doesn't smell herbalish which I made application a breeze. No need to inhale for a few seconds. Hahaha!

Can you spot the difference?

     After using the product religiously for two months, I can say that my skin has improved. Pores are somewhat minimized, Hori's Nevus have lightened a bit and there's a glow on my skin tone but melasma is still there. 

What I like:

• The price is cost-effective. 
• A little amount goes a long way. If I'll do the math, a bottle will last for more than six months.
• The bottle packaging is sturdy and comes with a pump and cap that dispenses the right amount of product.
• There's a faint floral scent.
• It contains natural oils that are known to have beautifying properties. 
• The texture is runny and light.
• Easily absorbed once applied.
• It leaves skin supple, smooth, and glowing after application.
• No irritation, breakouts or whatsoever.
• After using the product for two months, I can say that it minimized some of my large pores, especially in the lower cheek area.
• It lightened my Hori's Nevus a bit.
• Easily accessible.
• There's an English translation of Korean text. Complete product information too.
• Batch, manufacturing, and expiration dates are printed at the bottom of the bottle and the box.

What I don't like:

• No drastic effect on pre-mature wrinkles.

Will I repurchase? Yes but not for now as I still have more than half of the bottle to finish.

Recommendation:

     I give this a 4.75 rating. Goodal Keratina Anti-Aging Double Serum Light gave the same effects of Kiehl's MRC at half the price and contains more product in one bottle. I recommend this if you have normal and combination skin as it will make normal skin dewy and glowing while those with combination skin will experience hydration in the cheek area. 

     Always remember to shake the bottle before using the product so that the raspberry extract will mix with the seed oil. Apply a small amount first then add if you feel that it's not enough to cover your entire face and neck.
