Fashion Tips for the Busy Student

Feeling confident in the classroom because you know that you’re dressed well can really help you to feel less nervous about asserting yourself while making the best impression possible. Unfortunately, busy MSN in nursing administration students don’t have time on their side when they’re getting ready for class, or attending study sessions and internships. At the same time, having little extra time to get dressed doesn’t mean that you want to look haphazard. Here are a few fashion tips that can help busy college students look like they stepped right out of the pages of a magazine, whether they spent five minutes or the entire morning getting ready.

Fashion Tips for the Busy Student

Choose Smart Wardrobe Staples

Unless you have all of your key staple wardrobe pieces in place, you will struggle to look sharp, polished and poised. The amount of money that you spend on your wardrobe isn’t at all related to how good you can look. In addition, you don’t need to have dozens of business suits and coordinating blouses and shirts to have a fresh look. Your staple items should be timely, in a good state of repair and include plenty of different colors. Choose the pieces that flatter you the most, then select different articles of clothing that are flattering to compose your look.

Mix and Match with Accessories

It is said that accessories make the outfit, and this statement will always be true. Even if you plan to do your ADN to MSN online, you need to really work on getting your wardrobe and your signature style together now so that going out into the work market is a seamless transition. You may have situations in which you are required to dress up and show your personal flare. Don’t wait until the 11th hour to decide what your preferred style of fashion is, as this could lead to a total meltdown. If you are unsure of where to start, use accessories to give your wardrobe a decided angle.

Dress with Comfort in Mind

While there’s nothing wrong with maintaining a professional image while completing your MSN in nursing administration, remember that you need to feel like you are special in order to capture your true inner essence. Being confident is hard to do unless you are completely at ease about how you look as well as how you present yourself. If this means wearing jeans and sweatshirts as opposed to pantsuits, then wear what makes you feel best. Realize that being fashionable is not all about the clothes that you wear, instead it’s more about how you wear your clothing as the image that you present will be apparent when you step into the classroom.

When you’re busy working on your degree, you can’t really dedicate that much time to picking out the perfect outfit each day if you intend on showing up for class on time. Plan out your outfits for the week in advance, considering the weather, comfort and the setting above all else. You can look the part and be ready for success only if you make your studies your primary focus, even above fashion.
