Product Review: AVON Advance Techniques Frizz Control Serum

Sunday, July 01, 2012

Hi dearies! How's your day? I'm having bad hair days now. I really need something that will make my color-treated hair healthy. I noticed that my hair is dry and dull. I'm not sure if I'm going to blame this on Clairol Herbal Essences Color Me Happy shampoo that I'm road testing now. This is not the first time that I had problem with my tresses. I guess the culprit of my untamed and lifeless hair is the new shampoo that I'm using everyday. Good thing my sister gave this hair serum last time I went to my parents house. She just got lazy fixing her hair lately that's why I saw this bottle sitting on her stash. I'm not a fan of hair styling products but when situation like this arises, I also look for something that will save my unruly hair.

AVON Advance Techniques Frizz Control Serum
Nozzle type bottle
AVON Advance Techniques Frizz Control Serum
This is the amount of product that I apply on my thin hair
What I like:
  • Simple and handy packaging.
  • The nozzle type tube dispenses the right amount of product.
  • A little amount of the product goes a long way.
  • Makes my color-treated hair look healthy.
  • Non-greasy and doesn't weigh down my hair.
  • Controls my frizzy hair.
  • The scent is okay, not overpowering.
What I don't like:
  • Not easily accessible, you have to call an AVON lady to place your order.
  • A little expensive for my tight budget.
Will I repurchase? No, I want to try other hair care product from the same line.

Recommendation:
I give this a 3.75/5 rating. This product saves my bad hair day. But the price is a bit steep for me if I'll compare this to Vitress that's only a fraction of the cost. I tried cheap hair serums before and I think it is comparable to this product too.

How do you cope with your bad hair day?Share your thoughts. Have a blessed Sunday!

Good Times!~

  2. @Janet- Have you tried using hair styling products or Serum?Try mo sis yung mura lang na nabibile sa supermarkets. Madami brands to choose from naman. HIrap kasi mag splurge agad kung hindi naman hiyang hair. Sayang lang

  3. I think I need this. My hair is pretty buhaghag these days. I'll probably buy Vitress though, since you mentioned you prefer it over Avon's. Haha.

  4. @Senyth- Yes sis, ok yung vitress. Wasn't able to make a review pa kasi uubusin ko muna to. The time I use Vitress kasi di pa ko naguupdate ng blog. Saka mas mura and same naman na nakaka tame ng buhaghag.

  6. @yukii gucci- from the procedures that you've said, your hair will be dry talaga. the only thing that can revive your hair is professional treatment from salons. they can advice you what kind of treatment kasi madami na napagdaanan yung hair mo. baka if you DIY, chances are mas mag dry pa.
