     When was the last time you played something online? I'm a self-confessed gamer and I grew up playing different kinds of online games. The ones I'm playing before were fighting and strategy games and require an account or payment for you to enjoy the game. I guess I outgrew my interest in those and because of the uncertainties over the past two years, it's time for me to play games that will be beneficial for my mind and mental health.

     I was searching for online games months ago and I'm glad that I discovered solitaire.org- a website offering free online games like word puzzles, hidden objects, and logic games to name a few. Solitaire games offer other collections of games across a number of categories shown in the sitewide navigation. I was delighted to see a lot of online games that don't require signing up or downloading the game itself. My eyes got glued to a letter scramble, word search, and tetra blocks. So without further ado, here's my review of the games that I got addicted to playing at Solitaire.Org.

Word Search

     This is the first game that I've searched on the website. I'm an avid fan of word search games when I was in secondary school and it's the game that enabled me to improve my spelling back then. Playing this online for the first time is exciting and addicting. 

Game Experience

     Once loaded on your screen, you have to choose your puzzle grid size by clicking on 12x12, 14x14, or 16x16. On the lower left corner of the screen, there's a button for help and a language selector. You can also print the puzzle if you wish too :) Sharing the game on your social media is also possible by clicking the button on the lower right corner of the screen.

     When playing, I always start with the 12x12 grid. Once selected, I'm all set to play. I use my mouse to click and highlight the words to find. The words can be seen at the top of the left column with a count of how many total words you have left to go. The first 10 words are shown then as you find them they disappear and a new word takes their place.

     What I like when playing word search on the website is that I can pause the game and restart the level if interrupted. I can also turn on and off the music for added relaxing effect plus switching to normal and full-screen mode if needed. This is my favorite game so far. Letter Scramble

     Do you still remember the scrabble board game? This game was the most played board game in my childhood. Everyone in the family knows how to play the game and during summer vacation in our province, we play this together with my relatives. It's a relief to know that Solitaire.org also has this game. The first time I played this game, I was lost! I got pressured with the timer which can be seen on the top right corner of the screen. Check out it out here: Letter Scramble

Game Experience

     Maybe because I haven't played this game for a long time that's why I got pressured to create valid English-language words. Once the screen loaded the game, I scan every letter that was popping in the middle of the screen. What I do is type the words on my keyboard while glancing every now and then at the letters so I can form more words.

     I find typing the word on my keyboard easier than using the mouse to left-click or touching the screen with my fingers to drag the letters when using my mobile phone. It's time-consuming and I always get lost in the game using this method. For me, this game is harder than word search because you really need a huge vocabulary knowledge. If you're a bookworm or someone who works in the literary field, this game is for you. Playing this game daily will really widen your vocabulary and will exercise your mind by trying to think of words to form. I highly recommend this game to all students not only for entertainment purposes but also for practicing and increasing their English vocabulary.

     According to Science, reading, playing word games, or learning a new skill are just some of the ways you can keep your brain healthy as you age that's why I find Solitaire.org not only entertaining, it can also help in mental stimulation especially if you will regularly play the wide selection of word, puzzle, or logic games.

     You can also play the usual card games like Solitaire or other card games on the website in your free time. It's fun and entertaining plus full of learning too if you are into word games. What I like about Solitaire,org is you can play the games anytime, anywhere. It's also compatible with different devices and you have can choose from a wide array of online games for free.
