The Top 5 Reasons to Try CoolSculpting

Thursday, August 15, 2019

At first glance, the name CoolSculpting might sound like you’re going to learn how to make pottery while trendy techno music blares from your speakers. While there’s nothing wrong with trying your hand at pottery, CoolSculpting is a procedure that can remove fat over time through freezing the fat cells.

Its proper scientific name is cryolipolysis (try saying that five times fast) and is FDA approved. The treatment targets fat bulges along the abdomen, legs, beck buttocks, arms, back and love handles. Don’t worry if you think the process sounds a bit strange, but there are plenty of reasons to give it a shot and we run through the top reasons right here.

The Top 5 Reasons to Try CoolSculpting

It’s Proven to Work

If you had a dollar for every time you saw a weight loss or skincare commercial with those 80’s graphics that guaranteed results, you’d probably be relaxing on your private island sipping mojitos.

But unlike those empty promises, CoolSculpting has been proven to be successful in over six million different procedures all over the world. CoolSculpting is one of the most popular treatments out there, and you’ll see why.

The process takes place over the course of 4-6 months and according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the average fat reduction was about 20 percent.

It’s Non-Invasive

The procedure itself is pretty straight forward. Patients come in for an assessment with the plastic surgeon before deciding on the strategy.

Before the machine is applied, a gel pad is placed on the area and the temperature drops significantly. Many patients are incredibly relaxed and can continue in their normal life without any disruption. There is no pain, just numbness around the area. This means there are no scars or marks when the procedure is finished. Additionally, CoolSculpting does not require any anesthesia. Surgeons usually encourage patients to bring in their phones or a book to pass the time.

It Targets Specific Areas

As stated above, CoolSculpting can target specific areas around the body. If you’ve tried to lose weight before, you are certainly acquainted with the problem of being able to lose weight in one area but there always seems to be one part of your body that you just can’t get the fat to go away.

CoolSculpting helps take those areas out. You can continue your regular diet and exercise right after the procedure.

It’s Low-Risk

Compared to other procedures, CoolSculpting is incredibly low-risk. Since there are no invasive procedures or extensive surgery steps, there is an incredibly low risk for infection or other complications.

Even though patients may not always experience the fat loss they are looking for, very rarely does the procedure not remove fat cells at all.

It’s Available to Almost Everyone

There are almost no restrictions on people that can benefit from CoolSculpting. Those with cold-related medical conditions may want to consult a doctor ahead of time and any people with excess loose skin may want to also stay away from the procedure. Other than that, there are no people with potential issues. There’s a very rare chance that you would be denied the opportunity to use CoolSculpting.

Recovery Time is Short

It’s almost better to say that there is no recovery time at all. Those that have gone through the procedure are not limited in their movement or activity and the only complaints are soreness where the applicator was applied. The soreness usually passes within an hour and there are no other complications besides that.

It’s Safe

Since there are no invasive steps, CoolSculpting is incredibly safe for anyone that wants to undergo the procedure. You won’t be putting you or your body at risk. This sets many patients’ minds at ease since they know there won’t be any surgeon masks, knives, or blinding lights when they walk into the room.

There Are No Other Steps

Once you’ve finished one procedure, that’s it. Your surgeon will probably have you come back at least once to track your progress, but there are no other supplements, procedures or pills you’ll have to take. It’s almost like getting your oil changed for your car. You come in, wait for the procedure to be finished and then go about on your way.
