Friday, March 10, 2017

Mommies, kids, and kids-at-heart, hear ye, hear ye! Get ready to feel the magic as TV5, one of the country’s leading networks, featuring both local and international fan favorites including The Walking Dead, Arrow, The Flash, Vikings and the PBA games, announces its partnership with Rainbow.

Rainbow is the animation studio behind Regal Academy, Maggie & Bianca Fashion Friends and Winx Club, among others. Dedicated to TV and feature film production, Rainbow is one of the world leaders in kid’s entertainment. Its premiere series, the Winx Club, has remained one of the biggest shows for girls aged 4 – 12 that boasts over 15m viewers each day in over 130 countries worldwide. This reminds me of Sailormoon, one of my favorite cartoons when I was a kid. More details of the series below :)

“We are deeply honored to have the Winx Club brand as part of our network’s premium animated content. We’ve always positioned ourselves as a challenger brand,” says TV5 President Chot Reyes. “We wanted to do things that haven’t been done before -that you cannot see in the other networks. This partnership with Winx Club allows us to do so.”

Dubbed in Tagalog, the series follows the adventures of six fairies led by Bloom, an ordinary girl who discovers she's actually a fairy with extraordinary powers. Bloom learns to use her magical powers at the finest fairy school in all the realms, Alfea College. At school, she meets her new best friends, Stella, Flora, Musa, Tecna and Aisha, and forms the Winx Club. Together, they study hard in school, hang out at their favorite spots in Magix and go on lots of exciting adventures. When faced with trouble, they transform into beautiful fairies and save the world from all sorts of villains, like The Trix, a trio of evil witches. But for these six fairies, nothing can defeat their powerful magic and even stronger friendship.

Winx Club was launched in the Philippines years back but we had to be absent for a quite a long time as we couldn’t find the right network to partner with,” says Kumar Naryana - Managing Director. “So we’re very happy that we found TV5, a network that shares the same vision with us.”

Yay, I'm excited to watch the series. I hope I have a daughter for sure she will love the Winx Club fairies :)
