     I was very privilege to be invited by one of the world's most iconic and famous fashion luxury brand, Versace Jeans to their Fall/Winter 2014 collection launch held at its sole-boutique in the Philippines at the Shangri-La Plaza. The event was hosted by pretty Janeena Chan and after the quick ramp of the new collection, I visited the boutique and had a glimpse of the styles (which you'll see from the photos after the jump) perfect for the stylish individuals this holiday season.      The new fall-winter 2014/2015 collection is the result of the juxtaposition between two of the strongest cultural and artistic movements of the second half of the 20th century: Psychedilia and Pop.

     Psychedilia explores visions and sensations and iconic images from tge 60's and 70's, from concerts and music albums to street art and murals to evoke the hallucinatory state of mind in which psychedelic art was born.

     The prints fill the garments with distorted elements that melt and overlap into each other in surreal patterns and saturated colors.

     Primary colours and sharp contours defines shapes and volumes in the Pop side of the collection which represents major cultural currents if the postwar period, defined by the symbols, myths and expressions of a consumerist society. Looking at the photo above, the jacket she's wearing reminds me of a soldier's uniform but in a sleek, modern and highly fashionable way. The dress below reminds me of fashion and revolution combined. Sleek and sexy for the holiday season.

     Urban art forms find expression in all over graphic prints and placed foulard designs that fill the shirts and dresses making appearances also inside the garments with simple elements treated as small works of art. The prints on the dress above screams holiday but in fashionable way. The dresses from this collection are perfect for holiday parties and gatherings.
