Etude House Fantastic Color Eyes

Product Review: Etude House Fantastic Color Eyes in Cherry Blossom

Prom season is just around the corner and I'm pretty sure that junior and senior high school students are so excited for the big day. From dance presentation rehearsals, to prom dress preparation, I'm sure that if you're in the shoes of these young ladies, you want to make everything perfect and have a night to remember. Aside from these, another thing that girls are so nervous and excited to wear is their evening makeup. Prolly some will hire a MUA (makeup artist) while some who have a tight or decent budget will do their makeup on their own or you may ask a friend who knows the basics of applying makeup especially if you only want a simple evening look.

For this to achieve, you should invest in cost effective makeup up products like primer, foundation, blush, eyebrow powder, eyeliner, lipstick, and eyeshadows. Speaking of eyeshadows, you need to look for pigmented ones since this will be the center of your face makeup. Simple yet dramatic eye makeup will do and can be achieved using colors from an eyeshadow palette. Since we are talking about eyeshadows here, I have an eyeshadow palette from Etude House and methinks a useful palette if your eye makeup peg needs pinks, neutrals, and shimmer eyeshadow shades. Sharing with you today the review and swatch of Etude House Fantastic Color Eyes in Cherry Blossom :)

Cherry Coke, Cherry March, Baby Peony, Hello Spring, Floral Walk and Warm Morning

This palette from Etude House is flower themed because the other palette is also named after a flower-rose garden. I can say that it's inspired from the colors of blooming flowers, the reason why you'll see mostly pink shades. Here are the shades:
  • Cherry Coke- darkest among the six shades, this is perfect for creating smokey eyes.
  • Cherry March - a cool tone hot pink shade that it close to matte.
  • Baby Peony- a light pink shade that can be used in the crease.
  • Hello Spring - it has a thick texture and as you can see in the photo below, it's full of shimmers. Can also be used as a highlighter.
  • Floral Walk - a copper color shade with gold specks.
  • Warm Morning - light brown shade for a day time smokey eye makeup.

What I like:
  • The packaging is simple but pretty. It's slim and compact.
  • The palette already has a mirror so it can be used immediately for touch-ups, no need to use a separate mirror.
  • The eyeshadow palette is handy and travel-friendly.
  • The colors inside are wearable. It has pinks, neutrals, and a mix of matte and shimmers.
  • It comes with a dual-ended applicator too.
  • These eyeshadow colors are very pigmented.
  • The packaging has batch, manufacture, expiry date printed at the bottom of the palette.
  • Easily accessible.

What I don't like:
  • The price- can be a little steep for those who have a tight budget.
  • Some of the shades can be tricky to apply.

Will I repurchase? Not for now as this palette can go a long way since it is very pigmented.

Recommendation
I give this a 4/5 rating. To tell you honestly, I seldom use eyeshadows so no EOTD in this post. I tried using this palette on my cousin-in-law's eyelids last year when she needed to wear eye makeup for a birthday party and I find some of the shades easy to use. Just be sure not to go overboard in application since some shades like Cherry March can look messy because of fall outs during application. If you have spare money to buy an eyeshadow palette, I recommend this to you.

Yes, I said that the price is steep for cheapskates and for those who have a limited budget for prom. But if you think that you'll be using it after prom and for everyday simple eye makeup look, then it's time to buy this palette. This is also perfect for day time makeup.

Have you seen or tried this eyeshadow palette from Etude House?

Good Times!~
