Product Review: Snoe White Lightening Licorice Beauty Bar

Friday, February 22, 2013

If there's one thing in my bath staple that I can't live without now, that would probably bath soaps. Not one but two variants of beauty bars to be exact. Obviously I'm hooked with organic soaps and when I say organic soap, without a doubt Snoe white is the brand that I trust. Again, I'm using these beauty bars for more than a year now. I just mix and match each variant depending on my skin needs. Using these soaps doesn't mean my skin is perfect and flawless. I have fair skin to begin with and having a fair skin should not be coined as flawless. Yes, my skin tone is fair to light (I'm NC 15-20) but my skin is very sensitive with uneven tone, blemishes and freckles. So before you say that I'm lucky to have this complexion, I'm telling you that I'm not. I also have skin care problems that I mentioned above and as years pass by my skin tends to become more and more sensitive.

Since my problem is to even out my skin tone and lighten dark spots, I need a soap that is made for sensitive skin. Do you love reading product labels? If you do, then I guess you already know that using whitening soap can make your skin very sensitive. That's why some of the trusted brands in the market include warning labels/precaution in using the soap. I noticed that most whitening soaps in the market today contain harsh ingredients that's a no-no for sensitive skin. If you have sensitive skin and you want to lighten blemishes and dark spots, Snoe white Lightening Licorice beauty bar is the soap that I would recommend to address those problems.
Snoe White Lightening Licorice Beauty Bar

What I like:
  • It's organic!
  • Cute and Fancy packaging.
  • Doesn't melt fast.
  • There's a little pinkish glow on my arms and legs. My skin is pale white but after using this soap for more than a month it's now a little pinkish white.
  • Easily accessible~ Cinderella Sm Fairview carries Snoe products now!!! Yay :D
  • Affordable.
  • Has manufacturing and expiry date printed on packaging.
What I don't like:
  • I can't figure out the smell. It's not overpowering but I can't tolerate it. The least appealing soap for me when it comes to the scent.
  • Since this is a gentle in terms of whitening, you'll not see immediate results.
Will I repurchase? Maybe YES- if my skin becomes very sensitive and needs to rest. Maybe NO- if I want to lighten dark spots and uneven skin tone intensively.

Recommendation:
I give this soap a 4/5 rating. Use the soap as instructed. Always use sunblock with spf 30 or higher to protect your skin from the sun. Yay! This is the 6th Snoe White soap that I've tried to date. Among the 5 variants of Snoe:Vitamin C Rich CalamansiOrganic Green Papaya, The Special Black Bleaching Bar, Special Kojic and Glutathione and Organic Papaya Beauty Bar, this is the mildest that I've tried on my body. Didn't use this on my face because I broke out with licorice soap before from another brand. There's 10 Snoe white beauty bars to choose from so now I'm down to only 4. What variant do you want me to try next?

What SNOE variant combo do you think will suit your skin needs? Share away dearies :)

Good Times!~

November and December Hauls

Monday, December 31, 2012

Before the year ends, I would like to squeeze in pending posts from my November and December haul. Since I'm on a tipid mode, I only bought few products for the last two months. Some products here are my HG's while some were purchased just to try if they're worth of my tight budget.

Before the Glorietta Vibe fashion show walk, I decided to buy a makeup remover wipes that can melt waterproof mascara without using an eye makeup remover. I think it's more convenient than bringing a bottle of eye makeup remover and cotton balls during the event. I also bought this foot socks and nail polish remover wipes for my feet. The Mondes Ionic Keratin hair treatment was purchased out of curiosity. I'm not happy with the product, I develop pimples and wound like itchy flakes on my scalp. I guess I'm allergic to one of its ingredient but I don't know what to pinpoint :(

Tony Moly Floria Cleansing Tissues
Mondes Ionic Keratin Treatment
Wish Nail Polish Remover
I also bought a back up of my favorite makeup remover wipes- Purederm  just in case my skin will react to Tony Moly Floria makeup remover wipes. This soap was given by my SIL when I visited my parents house. I was surprise when I read the label that it's manufactured by Splash- a local company selling beauty and bath products. But this was only sold through their direct-selling line like that of AVON. So now Splash is also making it's way on direct-selling, let's wait and see if they'll make noise this 2013. You know how I love Asian Secrets, and based on my experience this body scrub already replaced my first love on Abonne. I find this more convenient to use and doesn't hurt my skin if I use the scrub everyday!

Asian Secrets Lulur Body Scrub
Seriously White Gluathione Soap
Purederm Makeup Cleansing Tisuues

My last haul for this year came from Snoe. Yay for new variants: Licorice and Organic Papaya :) I bought these two from a BOGO sale at Cinderella. The SA their informed me that they're having a sale so I grabbed the opportunity. I already reached my third month of using the black bleaching soap so I need to rest my skin from bleaching and use a milder one. When Ms. Jen of Snoe suggested the Special Kojic and Glutathione combo as a substitute for black bleaching I followed her and loving the results!

My sister just gave me this toner to try. At first I was hesitant because I find this toner too strong for my thin skin. But Janet's review of Eskinol convinced me to try this product. Let's see if this product will fare good on my skin.
