     How many times do you shave your underarm hair? My apologies for asking this question but I'm sure that shaving is one of the rituals that women do once or more than twice a week. We cannot stop our underarm hair from growing because as long as we're alive, hair will grow no matter what kind of hair removal we do. I was invited to the #DoveGoShave event last week and fortunately I learned a lot of things about shaving that I'll share to all of you :)

     During the #DoveGoShave event held at The Greens in Greenbelt 5, Dove girls and special guests shared their shaving stories. These Dove girls revealed their shaving rituals and their woes after shaving. All the attendees wrote their messages to their shaver/razor in this Dove-shaped paper.      Dra. Anna Palabyab-Rufino enlightened us and shared the basics of shaving and why it is always associated with underarm problems like knicks, bumps, and darkening. According to her, "shaving is practically considered a necessity as women want to remove underarm hair, which is why using a deodorant with moisturizing benefits on a daily basis is the perfect way to care for your underarms.” 

     Dove girls Patti Laurel-Filart, Dani Barretto, Kelly Misa-Fernandez, and Saab Magalona, talked more about shaving and revealed the facts about underarm and busted the myths in underarm care.

     Aside from my face, the next sensitive part of my body are my pits!      Last August 28 Ms. Lhen Hasal of Ogilvy Public Relations Manila invited me to experience a night that will showcase the launch of Dove's new line of underarm product.      I arrived just in time and was amazed by the set-up of the place. Free flowing champagne and a sumptuous dinner was served before the play started.      Dove Deodorant recently collaborated with Upstart Productions to present Unspeakably Yours: The Underarm Monologues. Inspired by stories from real women, this original outspoken comedy explores views on an intimate part of the body that females love to hate and hate to love: their underarms.

     Beauty and Underarms rarely go together. In fact, women rarely talk about underarms, and women talk about everything. Product Review: VMV Hypoallergenics Essence Skin-Saving Antiperspirant

     Hi Manila, Mr. Golden sun is rising up in the sky again. I'm sure new things will come our way. New hope and a brighter day awaits us. Smile everyone, we can make it! So now this post is super long overdue. Actually I want to say finally after sixteen months, that's almost a year and a half I will reveal what keeps me from the yucky icky feel. Prolly you know what I mean because the title of this post says it all. Yes, I'm going to share my thoughts about the best among the bestest underarm care that I've used so far. But before you make any reactions and raise your eyebrows or cover your nose ha ha ha! I will tell you that being sweaty runs in the family. It's in our genes. My father sweats a lot but this is not considered excessive. I guess it's because he drink lots of water and a little move specially during summer makes him sweat faster than others.  This goes same with my brothers and sisters including me. It's the same reason why sometimes I hate summer. Since we sweat a lot, we need extra protection not only in our face because sweat also leads to pimple infection but with our underarms too. 

     Sweaty underarms? No way! I had some embarrassing moments during my high school days where I'm very active with school activities. I'm also a volleyball player so it's really normal for me that I sweat a lot during and after the game. I hate it when the arms of my clothes feels wet. There were also times that you can really see that it's wet specially with colored blouses and shirts. So there comes awkward and embarrassing moment. Let me also emphasize that sweaty underarms doesn't mean there's an unpleasant smell. But if you ignored it, doesn't have proper hygiene (e.g. takes bath every other day) and just use an antiperspirant then I guess worse things will happen. 

     I've tried so many antiperspirants and deodorants in the market before. From cheap to cost-effective ones. I also got tired of trying and testing new brands but a couple of years ago I decided to buy something pricier, something heavy duty to avoid irritation and darkening of my underarms and sometimes chicken skin. I've tried Godiva underarm whitening antiperspirant, Jao Ming underarm all in one underarm cream and Flawless Deo Whitening Antiperspirant. I can say they're all effective but the effect plateaud after I emptied two or three bottles. I searched through different forums and I'm glad that I've found VMV Hypoallergenics Essence Skin Saving Antiperspirant that I really looooooveeeeeee! This is my second bottle and up to now I say it's ahh-mazing after every spray :D

Do not use on broken or irritated skin.

What I like:

• Hypoallergenic and dermatologist-tested.
• Safe for sensitive skin.
• Doesn't cause darkening of underarms.
• Spray type bottle that is very convenient to use.
• One or two sprays is enough for both underarms.
• It's very affordable- do the math, the entire bottle lasted me a year with everyday use!
• Unscented.
• Keeps sweat under control. Makes my pits dry all day.
• Prevents chicken skin.
• Multipurpose- can be used to treat hyperhidrosis (hands and feet).
• Has batch, manufacturing and expiry date.

What I don't like:

• NONE

Will I repurchase? Yes, yes yes!!! I actually bought my second bottle last month and planning to buy another even though it will last me a year (I think) based on my experience. 

Recommendation:

     I give this a 5/5 rating. Can I give 6/5? =P Super love this product. Hubby likes it too!
