Health is wealth as simple as that. Health is very important and only a few can live to that epic saying. It's hard to live a healthy lifestyle, right? Having a sound mind and body is one of the many things that we need if we want to achieve a better body free from dreadful diseases, irreversible sickness or just the plain lethargy-ness that we feel every now and then. I know I'm not the perfect example to this so called healthy living, eating clean and living well but we are all free to start a healthy lifestyle anytime and it's not too late to start now.

As a health conscious individual, I've learned to read labels of products that I put inside my body, I've tried at least three types or exercise routines at home and also enrolled myself at the gym and had researched more than ten supplements available in the market to help me loose weight and maintain youthful skin. I'm very proud to say that one of my favorite store, GNC Philippines have chosen this blog to be their partner in promoting men's and women's health and wellness. I've tried one brand of GNC health supplement in the past and been using the infamous GNC Vitamin C Moisturizer until now. It's been three years since I met this amazing facial moisturizer. If you're a long time reader of this blog I'm sure you've already read my review and have seen my skin care essential haul posts that includes this moisturizer.

I'm not sure if all of you know what GNC is all about, in this post let me share with you everything about them and all the things you need to know about the quality and assurance that you'll get from the products they have in store for you. July Haul

Saturday, July 27, 2013

Before this month ends, let me share with you the products that I've purchased on different days. If you notice, most of the items here are my HG's so if you want to read my review I'll provide the link below. I want you to know that most of my "haul post" showcase my HG skin care brands. Pardon me because I try to veered away from buying things that I don't need and if I know it will irritate my skin, I'll skip it. I always think more than 10 times before buying new skin care product or makeup. I hope you'll not get bored of reading my haul post. But I assure you that there will be 1 or 2 items that's new so that I can share my review especially on latest cosmetic products in the market today that's budget friendly!

So lets start with my favorite cleanser, Eskinol that I've been replenishing since the day I discovered it from Janet's review. I love this cleanser doesn't irritate my skin and didn't make my breakout worse even if I ran the soaked cotton ball on them. It just sting big time XD. My next purchase was Maybelline Make Up Remover, it's my 3rd bottle. I only use this if I have photo shoot and I need to remove my eye makeup. This baby melts away stubborn eye shadows and waterproof eyeliners :) I'm not planning to buy a new contact lens because I still have 3 designs that I use alternately during photo shoots but when I saw that Dull to Doll was having a clearance sale, I immediately purchased this one. It's purple and I already used it in one of my photo shoot weeks ago.

My Skin Care Regimen

Monday, August 13, 2012

Hi loves! I'm worrying that another typhoon (Helen) will give sleepless nights and panic attacks to those living near rivers, creeks and low lands. After a day of sunshine here's another day of gloomy sky. If only we can talk to mother nature and ask her to give us normal amount of rainfall then we'll all be appease. Let's just pray that God will guide and give us strength and patience to endure all these natural disasters that we have to face.
Today is errands day and we're off to Sm Fairview for some grocery and window shopping :D I'm also excited because the kiddo in me wants to play arcade games, weeee!~ So before going outside, I want to share my skin care regimen. Almost all of these skin care products became my HG (holy grail). Believe me when I say that I've tried and tested these soaps since 2009. Some brands specially with the soap only became my favorites this year.

My facial soaps- I use this soap once or twice a day. I also use a special soap e.g my skin is acting up or I want to lighten dried up zits.

Step 1: I leave the soaps lather for 2 minutes then rinse.

Step 2: After the Calamansi soap (ALL ORGANICS/SNOE WHITE) I leave the soaps lather on my
face for 2 minutes then rinse.
FOR PIMPLE MARKS
FOR ACNE BREAK-OUTS
I only use one toner before until I tried something that is almost close to organic because of its ingredients (will make a review soon)- All Organics Lemongrass Facial toner and Dr. Skin Oil Control Toner

My new love! I included this on my skin care regimen because it helped me lessen my pimples during my monthly period.
For my moisturizer- I only use GNC Vitamin C Moisturizer and Camaru Naturals Camellia Oil
DAY
NIGHT, I ALSO USE THIS AS MY UNDER EYE CREAM
And for my face mask- I use Purederm's Dual Well-Being twice a week.

Basically that's it! I will update this post later. I want to add something but I can't find the pictures of them. Hope you enjoyed reading this. Stay safe everyone!

Good Times!~

Product Review: GNC Vitamin C Moisturizing Cream

Monday, September 26, 2011

Hello everyone! How's your day? Well, I'm good but I'm a bit lazy to make another review from organic products that I've been using. So I'll just make a short review on one of my HG moisturizer. When I say HG (holy grail), I mean that I'm using the product for more than 3 months now and my skin loves it.

GNC Vitamin C Moisturizing Cream

Some of us don't follow the basic step in skin care routine- the cleanse-tone-moisturize thing. One of the important step here is moisturizing. Some of us tends to neglect and skip this step. I suffered from adult acne when I was in college so I tried different brands of moisturizer from high ends, low ends and cost effective ones.
I can say that my search for the perfect moisturizer is over until I read in a forum from female network this brand and been raved by GTalkers. May I now present to you the GNC Vitamin C Moisturizing Cream.
GNC or General Nutrition Centers is one of American commercial enterprise that focuses on retail sales of health and nutrition related products including vitamins, supplements, minerals, herbs, sports nutrition, diet and energy produtcs. Here in our country, GNC Live Well store are located in various malls. Some of them have stand alone store and kiosks.
So now let's focus on the product review. This moisturizing cream is under their beauty and wellness product along with other moisturizers like Aloe Vera moisturizing cream for sensitive skin and Vitamin A,E and D for dry skin. This product is also labeled as anti-aging cream.

GNC Vitamin C Moisturizing Cream
This is how the product looks like. It's almost half way of the tub.
GNC Vitamin C Moisturizing Cream
sorry for the blurry pic, the consistency is thick like that of a mayonnaise

What I like:
  • Not oily and easily absorbed by the skin.
  • Much softer/supple skin and brighter looking appearance.
  • No break-outs and irritations.
  • Light citrusy scent that is not overpowering.
  • The consistency of the cream is thick but spreadable.
  • Inexpensive for a 2oz jar because I only needed a pea size for my face and another pea size for my neck.
  • One jar lasted me for more than 3 months.
  • Batch and expiry date is stamped on the bottom of the jar.
What I don't like:
  • The packaging is a bit big for travel.
  • In a tub, not hygienic.
Will I repurchase: YES!

Recommendation:
I give this a 5/5 rating. I think it's better if the packaging is in a tube type like those of toothpaste or in a pump bottle. On the other hand, i love this product and I'm on my second tub now. It's a steal for a moisturizer that can also be a substitute for a night cream because you will wake up with a supple and hydrated face without the greasy feel.

I highly recommend this product for all skin types specially to ladies starting their late 20's because vitamin C also helps in the production of collagen which gives elasticity to the skin. Use a spatula to scoop out the cream and don't use your bare hands because it will contaminate the product.

I super love this product! That's all for now ladies. Have a great day ahead.

Good Times!~
