Nivea Whitening Lotion Philippines

     I'm a sucker for body lotion and if my memory serves me right, the first brand that I've tried was Alyssa Ashley White Musk that was given to my mom by a relative from abroad. I was in elementary back then and I have no idea about body lotions. All I knew was that it has to be applied to the skin after taking a bath. So when I entered junior high school, I've learned that there are different brands of body lotions in the market and it was from Nivea that I first saw a whitening variant. 

     From then on, Nivea has been a household brand and an essential in my skincare regimen. I've tried different variants in their whitening line in the past and was able to make a review of the old formulation, click here. Fast forward today, Nivea is still the number one brand when it comes to whitening lotions. What I noticed is that they made it more affordable to the consumers and offered a wide array of variants that target specific problems in the whitening and anti-aging department.      Hi dearies! It's been a year since the last time I reviewed a whitening lotion. I have this thing of using a brand religiously for months or years if I experienced positive results. If you'll look into my whitening lotion review archive, you'll only see a few brands because most of the brands that I've tried are cost-effective.

     Hello dearies! If you're a long time reader of this blog, prolly you have seen or have read my reviews on different whitening products be it cheap, affordable, cost-effective and high-end ones. Body lotion is one of the skin care products that I use that I cannot live without. I feel naked if I forgot to apply it after taking a bath.      When in doubt will you still say YES? Do you have the guts to say YES to a new skin care product because it promises more than what you're expecting? To tell you honestly, I've been skipping a few brands of skin care products in the display shelves because I think they don't work. I'm so picky when it comes to whitening lotions because for me fair skin is more than just the white complexion. Fair and flawless skin should be healthy and nourished. It must be protected from pollutants and damaging sun rays. So for me a whitening lotion must have the right amount of spf plus added skin beautifying ingredients.

     A few weeks ago, I was invited to an event where saying YES means a lot. Saying YES to all the things that we want to achieve. I presume you know that feeling- achieving what you have planned for so long but suddenly you lose hope because something is bringing you down. This also can happen in the products that we're using. Like for example in whitening lotion. Yes, I love using whitening lotion but I fear of basking under the sun and doing simple things like biking or playing with my son because I fear of getting dark.      I've been using Silka Premium Whitening Lotion in Papaya with Milk and Honey for more than two weeks now and I can say I had a wonderful experience using the product. I underestimated Silka's power before. My sister-in-law swears by Silka and now I believe in her statements. To tell you honestly, two weeks is so short to gauge Silka's whitening effect on my fair skin. I guess using this religiously will give me better results in the whitening department. But if you have morena skin tone, using this everyday, twice a day for a month will give you noticeable results.

It has a thick consistency

What I like:

• The price- pretty affordable because a 200 ml is less than Php 200.
• The scent- I'm surprised that it doesn't smell like baby powder. There's a mild but refreshing scent.
• It has a thick consistency but it's so easy to spread and apply.
• Once applied, the lotion is absorbed easily.
• It is very light and non- greasy.
• Moisturizes my skin feels instantly.
• It makes my skin soft and smooth to touch after application.
• It gives instant glow on skin after application.
• It contains a good amount of sun protection- SPF30 to be exact.
• It didn't gave me further irritation or allergies or whatsoever even though I've been using this lotion during the time I suffered from seafood related skin allergies.
• Batch, manufacturing and expiry date printed on the bottle.
• Available in 3 sizes: 50 ml, 100 ml, and 200 ml
• Easily accessible.

What I don't like:

• I didn't notice a fairer skin since since I'm already fair to begin with. 

Will I repurchase? Yes, it's in the realm of possibility.

Recommendation:

     I give this a 4.5/5 rating. Even though there is no significant change in my skin tone, this lotion is promising. Aside from the whitening department, we also need to consider the amount of spf and skin beautifying factors in a lotion. This also contains skin vitamins like milk, honey, and vitamin e so not bad for a very affordable lotion. I also like the scent and it's a plus for me. I have tried several brands of whitening lotion in the market that has the same effects in my skin like Silka but this one trumps in terms of scent and price.

     Overall, I highly recommend Silka Premium Whitening Lotion if you're looking for a non-greasy lotion that has a decent or should I say good amount of spf perfect for everyday use. But if you'll be staying for long hours in the sun, you still need to use a separate sunscreen for added protection.     Hi dearies! I'm sure you're excited to read this review and been waiting for months to see how it fared with my fair skin. I just finished the bottle of this lotion yesterday because I don't use it everyday. It took me around a month to consume all the contents of this instant white lotion because I use it every other day or when I feel like using it. I was also road testing another skin care product the time I got this lotion.

     This product works like magic if you really want to achieve that 'instant white skin' in minutes :) Since this product is a bleaching lotion, continued use does not only give that 'instant white effect' because it does lighten and whiten dark marks. What I like:

• The scent is very nice! It's like I've sprayed a known perfume in my body whenever I apply this lotion. The scent also lingers.
• It has a thick consistency but easy to spread and apply.
• Made my skin soft and smooth to touch after use.
• The INSTANT WHITE EFFECT is pretty obvious because of Titanium Dioxide and high number of SPF.
• The instant white effect doesn't wears off easily with little sweat. 
• I noticed that the whitening effect lasted for more than 8 hours on my skin without reapplication and without taking a bath.
• Contains powerful ingredients like Vitamin C,  Papaya, and Arctosphylos Uva- usi (Bearberry Extract). Combination of whitening and anti-aging ingredients in one bottle.
• A little goes a long way.
• It's light on skin once applied and non-greasy too.
• It has SPF35, one of the highest sun protection factor present in an instant white lotion that I've tried to date.
• It has a micro-peeling effect on my skin.
• It maintained my fair skin tone even if I'm always out running for errands. I'm already fair to begin with and emptying one bottle in a month's time is not enough to see if there's a drastic change in my skin tone. But for those with morena skin tone, I presume that after finishing one bottle, you will see a little to drastic change in your skin tone.
• Hypoallergenic and Dermatologist tested..

What I don't like:

• The price can be a bit steep for budget conscious individuals since it only contains 75 grams in one bottle. 
• Application can be tricky. It has a concealing effect and if I'm in a hurry, I tend to over blend it so streaks of white lines are really noticeable in my skin.
• It can be drying so a deep moisturizing lotion is needed once or twice a week.
• It can stain dark colored bags and clothing since this is a bleaching product.
• Not easily accessible. You have to order it online.

Will I repurchase? It's in the realm of possibility.

Recommendation:

     I give this lotion a 4.5/5 rating. The INSTANT WHITE EFFECT is REALLY OBVIOUS so be careful not to go overboard if you have medium skin tone. It contains high SPF so no need to worry about sun exposure BUT it is still advisable to lessen sun exposure while using whitening products. Since the application of the lotion is a bit tricky, I advise you to apply a little amount first. Dab the product in a dotted motion then spread until even. It is best applied after taking a bath or shower where the skin is still damp.

     I will recommend Allele White to those who really want to whiten their skin in an instant. It will give an obvious white effect once applied and absorbed by the skin.

Product Review: Mischka Derma Secret Hydrating Whitening Body Lotion

     There are two things that will always be a mainstay in my bath essentials: 2 bars of soap and a bottle of lotion. That's how I cleanse my body everyday, no matter how cold the weather is. I seldom use warm water or take hot baths during cold season. I can take a bath in the evening and it's my own version of the ice bucket challenge.      Hi dearies! My apologies for being MIA (missing in action) :( Internet connection is acting up for the fast few days hence I wasn't able to update you with product features and reviews plus another giveaway that I've promised last week.      I've tried so many whitening/lightening/brightening lotions in the past that gave different results. Some made drastic changes while some are so-so.       Let's continue the series of product reviews from Mischka Derma Secret and last but not the least is their advance whitening body lotion. If you're a long time reader of this blog I'm sure you know that I'm a sucker for whitening lotions! I'm already fair to begin with but I have uneven skin tone that's why I still need this kind of lotion. I've tried so many brands in the market today and only a few got a perfect score because of important factors that I consider for it to be a HG material. I believe that whitening lotions should not only whiten the skin but protect it from the harmful rays of the sun so a decent amount of sunscreen should be present from its ingredients. Anti-aging factor? Why not?! Whitening plus anti-aging lotions would be one of the best combination not only for lotions but for soaps and other skin care products. If you're like me who loves to try different kinds of whitening lotions I'm sure you already know powerful whitening ingredients that will help you achieve whiter and glowing skin. The most popular ingredients are glutathione, arbutin, kojic, licorice and placenta. I'm pretty sure that most of the coveted whitening products today contains two or more of the ingredients that I've mentioned above. So if you really want to whiten and lighten your skin, make sure you do your research because not all the whitening ingredients will give you positive results.

      Anyhoo, I've been using this lotion on and off. If you ask me why, because it doesn't have spf and I'm too lazy to take evening bath this past two months because of the cold weather at night. This lotion is best applied before going to bed since it's not suitable for day time use. To tell you honestly, I have a love-hate relationship with this product. I love it because it's easily absorbed by the skin, the scent is okay and it helps me maintain my skin tone even if I'm exposed to harmful sun rays during day time but I hate it because it doesn't have spf and the price tag seems too high for budget conscious individual like me.      Two or three days ago there's a sudden change in the temperature and the northeast moonsoon winds started to make its wave here in our country. Holiday season is here! It's just around the corner of every place that I've been to last week. Good vibes everywhere because of the Christmas songs that I hear and colorful decorations that I see around the neighborhood. But with the sudden change of weather, there's one thing that I also worry. It's also the season where I change my skin care routine because my skin tends to get dry on some parts of my body especially my on my legs. 

       I experienced dryness on lower parts or my legs that's why a I need a lotion or a cream that will make them hydrated and nourished so that it will not look scaly and dull. Most of my HG lotions doesn't concentrate on extremely dry skin or radiance boosting ingredients that's why when I saw this Celeteque Radiance Body Cream from Sample Room, without thinking twice I grabbed a sample. If I'm not mistaken, this is the first brightening/radiance cream that I've tried because most of the lotions that I use are whitening because I have fair uneven skin tone. So what's the difference of this lotion from the common whitening variant? I guess it's pretty obvious that it will really make the skin bright and radiant- the mirror like glow that we want to achieve because  glowing skin is healthy. Product Review: Cosmo Skin Collagen Hand and Body Cream

     Happy Sunday to all despite the gloomy weather outside. Hope everyone is safe so stay indoors and relax while reading your favorite blogs :) Anyhoo, here's a review of another promising skin care product that I've been using for three weeks now. If you're the type who likes to see fast results then read the whole review so that you'll understand why I'm starting to like it even though I enumerated three negative things about this so called hand and body cream. Yes, it's a cream form of lotion. I presume what you have in mind now is the cons of using this product. In my honest opinion, cream based lotion is a no no especially in our humid weather, right? But there's another way where you can still use this type of lotion and see results immediately.

     Hi dearies! How's your day? First of all, Happy Halloween! Are you ready to visit your loved ones at the cemetery later? By the way, I wanted to ask an apology if I cannot give you good quality pictures here in my blog because my digicam's batteries are not working. So please bear with me, I'm just using my phone's camera and can't stop myself from posting reviews these past few nights. 

     When I ran out of another favorite lotion (Mistine), I opt to substitute Nivea Whitening lotions. It's my first love and will always be :) I know Nivea's range of products grew bigger and bigger nowadays. I can still remember how its container transformed from simple bottles to sexy ones. Even though I use Mistine lotion for more than two years now, Nivea still has a place in my heart. It's my first whitening lotion and I know it does the job with regular use.

     On to the review, I'm about to finish this small bottle of Nivea Whitening Cell Repair and Protect Body Milk 40x Vitamin C. When I saw this on the shelve, I was confused because there's the same bottle of this lotion but doesn't have the vitamin C picture at the bottom of the bottle. So what I did was hold both bottles in my hand and see the difference. Both are whitening and cell repair. The one with berry and licorice extract and the other one with camu camu and acerola cherry extract. I got puzzled so i bought the latter.

What I like:

• Affordable.
• Since it has a runny consistency, the lotion is absorbed faster.
• It is very light and non-greasy.
• The shape of the bottle is sexy compared to other lotion bottles.
• Moisturizes my skin feels, soft and smooth after use.
• Has UV protection.
• The scent is a bit powdery but not overpowering.
•  Lightens and evens out skin, I think after using it for more than 3 months.

What I don't like:

• None

Will I repurchase? Yes! I always have a stock of this in my cabinet. I use this as a backup when I ran out of Mistine lotion. Both are effective, I have this notion of not using a lotion for more than three months because I don't want a plateau effect on whitening so I use it alternately after two or three months.

Recommendation:

     I give this lotion a 5/5 rating. I love Nivea and how it lightens my skin. I can attest to its lightening effect because I've been using it for years. If you want to try a whitening lotion that is affordable, then Nivea is the one your looking for. But results is not just 1-2-3, you have to be patient and use it religiously.
