     One of the most exciting yet can be a stressful season for kids and moms is back-to-school. Time for new beginnings- classmates, friends, teachers, school supplies, and uniforms. This is the season when moms like me make a to-buy list of school essentials that kids will use for the school year. One of the essential that is overused and abused is the school shoes.

     Love the rhyming there but this momma loves a pair of school shoes that is easy on the budget, can withstand rainy days, comfortable to walk and run with and looks nice when worn. We've tried a handful of brands before that's over my budget thinking that it is durable and will last until the end of the school year but Nah. After months of wearing, the school shoes of choice will either have a detached sole (because my son runs a lot) or it's not nice to wear anymore because dents and scratches are already visible.      What, wait, is it back to school already? Let the word back-to-school sink in my mind for a moment. Okay, it's June and I presume that kids are enjoying the last wave of vacation before bidding summer goodbye. The school year 2018 will finally resume days or week from now and here's a burning question, are you ready?

     If you'll ask me, it's a resounding YES!!! After enrolling my son for third grade last April, I was invited to do my back-to-school shopping at National Book Store. I went shopping for my son's back-to-school essentials at National Book Store SM North EDSA branch last May 15, 2018 and to my surprise, I saw new and exciting items on display that I've never seen before.      Back to school is around the corner and I'm in the middle of worry and excitement. I've already enrolled my son but we're still not 100% ready. The coming weeks will be a challenging one as I'll prepare myself to look for new uniforms and school supplies.

     To make the launch more exciting, Canon Philippines prepared a workshop for all the guests. There were speakers who taught us on how to maximize the use of Canon Printers and Canon Cameras. They have tried and tested this brand that's why their tips will be useful to us, new proud owners of Canon printer.

     Lifestyle and mommy blogger Ava Zabat of Artsy Fartsy Ava shared to us how helpful Canon PIXMA E470 to her family. She uses the printer for printing handouts, worksheets, documents, photos, calling cards, sticker name, and labels. As an art enthusiast, she is amazed by the print quality of Canon PIXMA E470.

Shari showed us visuals on how to capture a perfect picture using her Canon Mirrorless camera.

     Last but not the least, we did a fun activity that let us create different designs in a mosaic and watercolor print pattern. The mini workshop was led by  Alessandra Lanot of Life After Breakfast blog. Our designs were printed in a canvass using Canon PIXMA E470 printer.

National Book Store Mommy Diaries with Jackie Go

     Hello, mommies! I presume that you've seen your favorite mommy and lifestyle bloggers in National Book Store's Facebook page sharing their back-to-school tips and shopping haul. Last month, I was invited to be a part of their back-to-school campaign.

     Back-to-school is a stressful season for some families because of the tuition fees and other expenses including a new set of uniforms, books, and school supplies.
