Product Review: Shiseido Benefique White Bloom

Wednesday, November 07, 2018

I'm totally giving Japanese beauty supplements a thumbs up when it comes to whitening department even though it's not budget-friendly, it delivers. The results are visible that will make you consider it as one of your maintenance beauty supplement after achieving a lighter and glowing skin tone in just a month of taking it.

One of the Japanese supplements that I will highly recommend is another baby from Shiseido. Shiseido Benefique White Bloom is one of their premium beauty supplements to date. According to them, it's the combination of their infamous Purewhite W (an anti-oxidant) plus Whisis LCEX (l-cysteine) known to be potent boosters of glutathione that targets mostly freckles and pigmentation caused by sun exposure. I took this supplement for a month and amazed with the results. More information about Shiseido Benefique White Bloom below.

Product Review: Eternity Rose 24 Karat Gold Dipped Rose

Monday, November 05, 2018

The most wonderful time of the year is fast approaching and one of the things that make it more exciting is shopping for gifts. I presume that everyone has a list and written on it are the possible gift/s that he/she will receive. What if that person on the list already has everything? This is one of the dilemmas that I also encounter when buying a gift- what to give?

When giving a gift, I always consider three things: something that is unique, useful, or one that will last a lifetime. There are so many useful items and a wide selection of unique gift items to give but there's one thing that I recently discovered, 24 Karat Gold Dipped Rose from Eternity Rose- a beautiful and one of a kind gift that will last a lifetime. YES! A natural rose that is dipped in 24 karat gold. More details about the product after the jump.

Product Review: Sunnywood Harvester's Rice + Crab Maki Recipe

Friday, October 19, 2018

Rice is the staple food of the Filipinos and we are blessed because our country can produce different variants of rice that we eat for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Don't get me wrong, (because of the recent news on rice hoarding) but long before the time our country is indeed gifted in this department.

Speaking of rice, there's one brand that I recently discovered and been eating for weeks now. Sunnywood Harvester's Rice has Sinandomeng and Dinorado variant as well as colored specialty rice. I presume that you've seen this brand in the supermarket but you opted to buy the brand with a lower price tag. Let me share some trivia why you need to buy rice from a trusted brand and a simple international recipe using an alternative ingredient from Sunnywood Harvester's Rice:)

Product Review: Shiseido The Collagen Tablet

Tuesday, October 09, 2018

I've tried a handful of collagen supplements in the past and I have favorites that really delivers in making my skin moist, supple, and glowing. I'm happy that collagen supplements are now available in different forms- powder and juice drink, tablet, gummy, and candy to name a few. But I have this love-hate relationship with collagen because it adds a visible weight to my round face shape.

For women who have slim facial features, you're lucky because most of the collagen supplements are designed to plump the skin making your face look less haggard. It gives an extra lift to sagging cheeks. There's one brand that I love because I saw the effects as early as 1 week, but I hate because like with other brands, it gives me a double chin and bigger face in photos- Shiseido The Collagen Tablet. Full review after the jump!

Product Review: Danarra Aromatherapy Oil

Wednesday, September 12, 2018

Stress is already a part of us. It is inevitable but we can manage it in different ways. Let's take for example the Filipino workers with 9-6 pm jobs. Their day begins with an average of two-hour commute to the office and another two-hour commute to get home. Can you see the picture? Days begin with stress and ends with stress!

I'm a stay at home mom and I'm experiencing stress too! From daily routine house chores to parenting and daughter duties, I experience stress every day. To keep me sane, I look for ways on how to cope and manage it. Some people enjoy a nice dessert, go for a workout, watch a movie, or spend time with friends and family. These are effective but not accessible immediately, right? There's one thing that young professionals including me have in our bags or pockets- a soothing balm that comes in many forms. The trending now- aromatherapy oil!

Product Review: Precious Herbal Pillow Regular

Tuesday, September 04, 2018

Are you in pain? I am- headache, back pain, and stomach cramps to name a few. I'm sure that all of you have experienced an unpleasant or discomfort feeling in one or many parts of your body. We feel pain because it is a sensory stimulus sent to our brain if there is something wrong with our body. There are different types of pain and it can be acute or chronic and some of the pain we resulted from overwork, fatigue, doing house chores, change in weather condition, exercise and injuries.

When you're in pain, it can be mild, moderate, or severe and the first thing most of us do is ask for a pain reliever like paracetamol or ibuprofen. Long-term use of pain relievers (NSAIDs) is not advisable and it can cause liver damage when taken with alcohol according to some of the doctors that I've talked to. We don't want to experience the side effects of pain relievers that's why looking for a safe alternative is the best way to relieve pain. There's an all natural pain-away product that's readily available in the market and it's in a form of pillow called Precious Herbal Pillow. Know more about the product below and why I highly recommend it for mild and moderate discomfort.

Product Review: NARS Audacious Lipstick in Michiyo

Monday, September 03, 2018

I'm a self-confessed lipstick lover but I only have few bullets in my collection. I'm building my lipstick arsenal based on brands that I love over the shades available. I can say that I'm still naive when it comes to bold and bright shades that's why I will only use them on special occasions or when the need to sport a striking shade arise.

NARS Audacious lipstick is the most expensive lipstick that I have to date. It's almost Php 2,000 a bullet. Though it's expensive, it delivers. This line has 40 beautiful colors that give a luxurious, bold and healthier looking lips with every application. See photos, swatches, and my thoughts on NARS Audacious Lipstick in Michiyo below :)

Feature: Esfolio Super Rich Coconut Line

Tuesday, August 28, 2018

I presume that you've read my thoughts on Esfolio Super Rich Coconut Toner last week. My apologies for not introducing first the entire line before making a review. Anyhoo, this set from Esfolio is promising especially if you have mature, dry, and dull skin. The superstar ingredient in each product is the coconut oil and many swears by its health benefits.

Coconut oil has a lot of benefits and if you'll make a research, it is used in different natural beauty products for its antibacterial and antifungal property. It's an excellent moisturizer and smells so nice too. Never thought that a skincare product with coconut oil would smell divine. So without further ado, know more about Esfolio's Super Rich Coconut Line below.

Product Review: Esfolio Super Rich Coconut Toner

Wednesday, August 22, 2018

It's been months since Esfolio Philippines sent their Super Rich Coconut Line and finally, I'll be able to feature the entire set and share my thoughts on my ultimate fave from the set- Super Rich Coconut Toner. Take note that this is not your ordinary toner because of the thick texture but I can vouch for the instant moisturizing and hydrating effects that it can give after application. I've tried a lot of toners before and those that made into my 'to keep list' are alcohol-free, made of or has a natural ingredient/s on the list, and affordable.

In the recent years, I noticed that K-beauty brands have been introducing facial toners in two consistencies: water-like or serum-like which has a thick texture that doubles the purpose for those who are minimizing their skin care regimen. Toners with a thick consistency not only cleanse and prep the skin for full absorption of moisturizers and serums but it can also minimize the pores, boost moisture and infuse anti-aging or whitening benefits in every application. So without further ado, here's my review of Esfolio Super Rich Coconut Toner.

Product Review: Blooming G (Borage Oil 500 mg Capsule)

Thursday, August 16, 2018

I've been reviewing health and beauty supplements for more than five years now. I can say that I've had a fair share of experience in the online world when it comes to whitening, anti-aging, and wellness department. Skin lightening is the main concern of modern Filipinas that's why glutathione supplements are selling like hotcakes here in our country. Next to skin lightening is anti-aging. More and more women are focusing on anti-aging these days. The search for the fountain of youth will start from skin care products, oral supplements, and dermatology treatments.

Lastly, wellness supplements for weight loss, vitamins, and anti-oxidants that give glowing skin are becoming popular nowadays because of the so-called "ang fresh mo teh" (looking fresh) or "blooming ka ngayon" (you are blooming) peg. Speaking of fresh and blooming, I'm so excited to share with you a skin care supplement that gives a natural skin moisturizing benefit and more (Yes more because it has a lot of benefits) from within. Enter Blooming-G (Borage Oil 500 mg Capsule), a promising health supplement for a blooming you :)

Product Review: MAC Kinda Sexy Lipstick

Monday, August 06, 2018

I'm slowly building my MAC lipstick arsenal. My first shade was Girl About Town which was a 'pasalubong' pa from my cousin years ago. During that time, I was so obsessed with MAC lipstick to the point that I want to hoard or buy all the shades once there's a new collection. I know it's crazy but a girl can never have too many lipsticks, right?!

But then I realized that I only need to splurge on the shades that I really want and will suit my skin tone. After all, a lipstick, in general, has a shelf-life of two years after the first swipe and if I will hoard that much, some or all will just be sitting in my drawer waiting to be tossed. I already have a red, pink, and purple shade of MAC lipstick and this time I want a neutral one that I can use every day. Guess what, I've found the perfect neutral shade that I can sport with or without makeup- MAC Kinda Sexy!

Feature: Erceflora Probi Bears 2-in-1 Probiotic Supplement

Saturday, July 07, 2018

A tummy ache is one of the problems that my son had experienced while growing up. He has a sensitive stomach and it's a pain to see him vomit after eating or drinking that gives the tummy big trouble. Kids tend to have a higher risk of getting digestive health-related diseases such as diarrhea and constipation from harmful bacteria.

I've experienced a lot of tummy aches in the past too that's why I know the feeling- uncomfortable and mood changing. It's like I just want to sleep all day if possible and no food and drink at all. Sigh.  As a parent, this scenario causes emotional stress and I really don't want to see my son experiencing any kind of discomfort. Like experts say, prevention is better than cure so an everyday supplement to lessen or manage stomach pain is recommended. Read more below about probiotics and Erceflora ProbiBears 2-in-1 Probiotic Supplement below.

Product Review: Etude House Two Tone Treatment Hair Color

Thursday, June 28, 2018

If there's one thing that I can call forever in my life (aside from my husband), that would be my hair coloring love affair! I've been coloring my hair for years now. The schedule depends on if the roots are starting to show or the color has been washed out. I can say that regular hair coloring is the reason why I always achieve the hair color that I want without bleaching since most of the shades I apply are light blonde, blonde, ash, ash blonde, and light brown.

If you notice, most of the colors are on the lighter side of the hair color wheel. There are times that I want to try a bold and bright color like purple, red, or blue BUT it requires bleaching which is a NO-NO for my thin and limp hair. But guess what- I discovered a product that will somehow make my hair purple today, green next week, and for an entire month. Enter Etude House Two Tone Treatment Hair Color. Product Review: Relumins Glutathione 1000 mg

Thursday, April 12, 2018

Hello dearies! I've been receiving questions about the best glutathione brands that I've tried to date. Among the brands that I've reviewed, I always recommend three to four brands based on their price, ingredients, and effects on my skin. These brands are tried and tested and many swears by their effects too.

Today, I'll be sharing another promising brand that I will include on my recommendation list. If you're NOT allergic to ALA (alpha lipoic acid) then rejoice now because of Relumins Glutathione 1000 mg or Relumins Gluta-1000 has the highest ALA content among the brand that I've tried. Alpha Lipoic Acid is one of the best glutathione boosters because it gives a beautiful glow and according to Livestrong, it is 400 times stronger than vitamin C and E. Check out my thoughts on this Relumins Glutathione variant below.

Product Review: Snow DD Cream Ultra-Light Perfect Foundation Sunscreen SPF50 PA+++

Tuesday, April 03, 2018

From bb cream, to cc cream, and now it's dd cream. If you're a beauty junkie, prolly you know what bb or beauty blemish and cc or color correct creams play in the beauty department. These makeup products were introduced in the market years ago and Koreans are at the forefront of this makeup trend.

A BB cream is a makeup product that has skincare benefits. Some describe it as lighter than foundation but heavier for a tinted moisturizer and most of the brands available gives full coverage. On the other hand, CC cream is a color correction cream that can hide redness and other skin imperfections thus it's lighter than bb cream as it corrects than conceals. Now enter DD cream which stands for "disguise and diminish" or daily defense according to beauty gurus who have tried one. Today, I'll be sharing my thoughts on Snow DD Cream that was sent to me by cheskasstore.net for a review.
