     It has been three years since I visited the Wacoal headquarters in Kyoto, Japan but everything I witnessed there feels like just yesterday. I learned so much from the tour and it was instilled in my mind that when you say Wacoal-the mission is always making every BODY beautiful. I’ve learned to appreciate my Wacoal undergarments, even more, when I saw the passion and dedication that they put in everything they make. How their years of experience has helped them understand women’s body from the time she started to bloom until her maturity.      Philippine Wacoal is celebrating 30 years here in the country.      Hi dearies! This season, I presume that a lot of you are already going back on track in your fitness and sports activities. I've seen gym and workout selfies and those motivates me to enroll in one of my dream exercise to try this summer- yoga! But I have a problem, I still don't know where to enroll and what type of outfit clothes to wear.      Last January 28, Triumph unveiled their new sports bra collection, tailored for women with active and sporty lifestyles. They invited us in an afternoon of fun and exciting exercise activity at Saddle Row BGC to test the sports bra collection that Triumph, the maker of lingerie since 1886 has to offer. We had an intimate indoor cycling session with coach Carla at Saddle Row BGC. It's my first time to try indoor cycling, and yes it's intense and leg breaking (hahaha!) for me because I have weak lower limbs.

     We were advised to wear something comfortable and tried Triumph sports bra that day. Basically, the indoor cycling that Saddle Row is offering makes you ride a stationary bike to the beat of awesome music. It's an intense and fast-paced workout and I felt the burn in my legs and thights after our session but felt comfortable wearing my Low Impact Sports bra.

     During the event, I've chosen the Low Impact Sports bra in black as I'm planning to take yoga class this summer. I love how this sports bra fits me well. I always have a problem fitting undergarments because I don't know what's the right size to get. I'm glad the they've assisted us on the right fitting by getting our exact measurements.

     Before choosing this style, I was torn between the Medium and High Impact Sports bra designs. I find their designs fashionable and the style is very sporty. But because design and style is only a second option why I'll buy a sports bra, I've still chosen what I really need and I'll be wearing during my yoga class. Sm Woman x Sabina's The Sewing Cup, Sewing Heart Bra

     Every month of October, pink ribbons can be seen almost everywhere. This is the way of showing our support and awareness to one of the world's deadliest disease- Breast Cancer. Many women who have breast cancer are now becoming aware of their condition and we can manage this if we will face this with proper knowledge. Did you know that Philippines has the most number of breast cancer patients in Asia? 

     SM Woman knows that they need to stand up and support the victims that's why they finding ways to help raise awareness and make an advocacy to support women and breast cancer patients. Recently, SM Woman partnered with the iCanServe Foundation and with leading Thai lingerie brand Sabina, for a Sewing Cup Sewing Heart activity. This is already an 8-year tradition of the Thai brand and for the first time, this was launched exclusively in The SM Store. During the event, supporters and guests were invited to sew 250 Sabina sewing cups—hypoallergenic bra fillers for women who have undergone a mastectomy, that were then donated to the iCanServeFoundation.      During the event, the attendees participated in sewing one bra cup. This is the Sabina sewing bra that is filled with a padding, which can be adjusted according to any cup size by filling a provided pouch with just enough LLDPE Plastic Beads. These are highly-purified plastic beads that contain zero harmful chemicals. It is round in shape and has no sharp edges so it does not irritate the skin or pierce through clothes. The Ministry of Industry of Thailand also certifies it as a standard of product “Polyethylene.” Therefore, it will not cause any irritation or have any harmful effects when it comes in contact with skin.

     The Sewing Cup Sewing Heart activity was graced by the Chairperson of the iCanServe Foundation, Libet Virata, and, President of iCanServe Foundation, Tang Singson. At the event, special guests such as Martha Revilla Schulze, Bettina Osmeña, Lilibeth Campos, Frannie Jacinto, and Bibeth Orteza-purposefully participated in the sewing activity, gathering around the pretty pink tables with spools of pink thread and sewing needles, enthusiastically going straight to work on the Sabina sewing bras. This activity united us in giving hope to breast cancer patients.

     Ms. Orteza shared how she heard stories of friends, family and acquaintances being diagnosed with the disease and didn’t think much of it since it happens so often. Only when it happened to her did it become real. She has only gratitude for the women of iCanServe who flew to her aid when she had been cancer herself.

     This life threatening disease can be prevented by the simple act of diligently getting checked. This is what iCanServe Foundation does for the patient and the family. They're here to inform the public that there is a cure for breast cancer, especially if it is detected early. Many lives will be saved if at first signs and symptoms, the patient will be checked immediately.

     "United we stand, divided we fall." We need to be aware, be concerned with our love one's condition if we are suspecting any with regards to this disease. The coalition of SM Woman, Sabina and the I Can Serve Foundation makes the Sewing Cup Sewing Heart an event that can help survivors feel more whole, one sewing cup at a time.
